Every now and then @Jahgee1124 releases a new car!
More to do with the title of the song (So I could have used a different, more common and some would say better one), but any chance to post Lin Yu Chun I will always take

Good news: Sales will be out tonight. I'm doing the last bit of number crunching now.

'Uhhhh' news: Upon review and practice, I'm changing the bonus system to one that makes sense.

More Good: It's straightforward and simpler to implement.

I'll change this OP later though because here are the Detroit results!

The Kings of the show (3 bonus points): Aquila provided both show-stoppers at Detroit. Firstly was their Interceptor Convertible, the V12 Manual version to be exact, which far outshined it's V8 Coupe DCT variant. The second was the only SUV at the show, the Aquila Emperor. Everyone appeared to be drawn to it, sadly leading to Aquila's main sports car, the Ace, being in its shadow, both meanings correct.

The Rest of the Court (2 bonus points): One result of the Detroit Showcase Event was that the number of visitors was clearly tiered. Aquila provided the top tier, but these cars were up there in popularity as well. The E-Go of Holmes Automotive Technology was the only electric car at the show, and that may have played a part in the mass of visitors to the Holmes booth the entire show. Now we move back toward traditional popularity magnets, sports cars. Rennen had to rush to get a copy of their Arachnid to the show, but the visitors flocked to it. Then you have the NW01, a NW Engineering effort, that has a big V10 and a even bigger price tag.

The High Rollers (1 bonus point): At this point, lulls in visitation start becoming noticeable but space is still valued when they do come. Entries here include the Karin Asterope, the new Blackhawk Halcon, the New Pontiac's GTO, Avalons' Silica AVR and Iridium Concepts (Mock-ups get no bonuses), and the Harrbol Memrix AWD.

All the remaining booths enjoyed a small stream of visits, but nothing of real mention. And with that, this is BKGlover signing off from Detroit. I hope to see you at Geneva!

Geneva now open for registration.

Rennon Automotive will showcase their Sakura Concept at Geneva, with our famous sequential turbo technology. Also being showcased is the Arachnid Nürburgring concept, developed to lap it faster than famed race cars.

Due to the massive success of the Harrbol Memrix, Harrbol CEO Doofers McGee has released a plan, effective immediately, that will give Harrbol a few more cars to select from the dealerships. McGee has stated that "there will be a new, full-size luxury sedan, as well as a coupe version of both the Memrix and the soon-to-be-released large sedan." Harrbol representatives have chimed in, telling us "there will be big additions within weeks."

To best sum up the release, all of these notable changes or additions will be listed. There will be another press release "within weeks" (one day in real time) that will reveal the full lineup.
  • 4.6L V8. Direct Injection, 375 HP, 328 lb-ft. (400cr)*
  • 4.3L Twin Turbo V8. Direct Injection. 505 HP. 548 lb-ft. (700cr)**
  • 2.4L I4. Multi-point injection. 168 hp. (200cr)*
  • 7-speed semi-automatic transmission. (525cr)**
  • 6-speed manual transmission. (150cr)*
* represents a Level 3 R&D cost (not quite sure how to factor that in?)
** represents a Level 6 R&D cost
(1,975cr total expense+unknown R&D cost)
Additionally, Harrbol would like to upgrade their Tyler, Tx factory into a Medium Factory, for an expense of 5,000cr, as well as build another medium factory in Shrevepoint, Louisiana, for a total factory cost of 11,000cr.
(current amount ;) )-11,000cr -(1975+r&d costs)

I feel I need to say something here. When it comes to the Q1 profits, please exercise CAUTIOUS OPTIMISM! Why? Firstly because I have not implemented any bots, so right now this is basically PvP. Secondly, I dropped Maintenance and Production cost to 1/10 of what they were, but it seems I can move them back, SLOWLY, without killing some people. Lastly, some of the biggest earners were in low occupance nations. Given an in-game year, all these will probably change.

@ildd ,I'll factor those in.

Good to know.
Combo of High Price, little competition, and in one case more models. I'll be adding bots....as I can. Piecemeal would probably be the key word here.

Working on yours now as it happens.

Well that Detroit wrap really makes me nervous about my profits... Thank god I'm going into the EV market!

I really hope people are as interested in buying all-wheel drive hot hatches as I thought they were..:nervous:

Got a lot done, but I don't have everyone finished. Sorry to those I haven't gotten to, but the job pays the bills so I can run the game. Tomorrow fo sho.
