I hope you reschedule it for some time sooner, otherwise they'll disqualify you. What if you fail the test, it would be too late for them to set the alternatives for travel, wouldn't it?

I just have to give them a message if I fail the test. Belgium is a small country, so travel isn't really a problem. You have the option to go by bus, or drive yourself. 2 extra persons in that bus isn't really a problem.

I got a call too this afternoon with the message I had qualified myself. However, like expected they planned the finals right in the week when I'm in the Alps snowboarding. Ah well, at least now the other Dutch guys still have a chance at winning

Sorry still slightly bitter here and even more so when I had to tell the Sony chick yesterday that I was not going to have a full license by 16th Feb

I've thought about GTP t-shirts for UK entrants. It wouldn't cost much and it'd be something easy to sort out no doubt. Just an idea

Stotty I think you got my place coz I just had confirmation that I am not eligible to compete. My situation is that I could be eligible by the 17th but my driving test is on the 10th Feb so I signed up just so I could ask someone (no organisers contact details available before deadline) if this borderline case would be acceptable if I clarified my status after my test on the 10th. They consulted Sony and had to say no to me Friday lunch time. Quite disappointing but not unexpected. Good luck to you

I wondered who's place I'd taken... I knew Ron was out (really sorry for you mate!), but thought 21st or 22nd would have got his place. I asked the Sony person who I'd replaced but they wouldn't say.
