Boring, & does'nt Carragher know to slow down.

This is a robot cup, there's no imagination in it any longer.

Rooney deliberatley moved his foot back and brought it down on that guys nadgers.

England didn't deserve to win that, but then again, neither did Portugal. Ricardo is quite handy at saving penalties though...

Famine
Switzerland are the only team in World Cup history to be eliminated without conceding a single goal.
[useless fact]
Scotland were the first team to be eliminated without losing a game and we were also the first team to be eliminated on goal difference. (And they were 2 different occasions)
[/useless fact]

I feel like ****in crying. Dumbass rooney, gay ass ronaldo, and **** england penalty takers. Also sven is a **** for playing a **** team, should have brought defoe with him.

Poverty, I doubt Dafoe would have helped the way England have been playing throughout the tournament.

Just gutted, I had that bad feeling it would go to penalties.

All hinged on a bloody stupid card.

The card was the eventual result, but the strategy that the halfwit Eriksson was using was going to come unstuck sooner or later. As it turns out, it was sooner.

We were doomed the moment he decided to play 4-5-1 as a formation.

C.Ronaldo will be booed alot in 06/07.
A hell of a lot, I don't see him being much of a fan fave at Man U for a few months at least.

lol and to think... my current Man Utd shirt has Ronaldo's name and number.... thinking I better not wear that for a loooooong time. lol :nervous:

I know, fancy going out of your way to TRY and get one of your club team mates sent off, Rooney deserved a yellow anyway, not a red, that was harsh. Ronaldo also deserved a yellow for trying to influence the refs decision. And don't even get me started on the panlties, we even had the advantage after the third kicks, Lampard and Gerrard the two player you would put your money on netting both were pathetic, I can take penalties like that. And why on gods earth did the ref blow to let Carragher take his, then make him re-take it, the ball was on the spot, the keeper was on the line, why? At the end of the day, we should have played better, but the referrees these days tick me off with some of the decisions they make.

Arsenalyon to beat brazil, and go on to win the world cup tonight I hope. As long as those bloody germans and italians dont win it I dont care anymore.

That AND taking only 1 fit striker and a 6-year old he was never going to play to a World Cup.

The red was tosh. It would have been harsh to be a yellow - Rooney has a "look" when he does things on purpose, and he wasn't wearing it. He clearly lost his balance (or had it taken from him).

No it wasn't deliberate, he couldn't see where his foot was going for it to have been deliberate, he's looking at the ball there, not where he's guiding his foot. Nothing about that looked delibeate apart from the push he game Ronaldo, which he shouldn't have been sent off for.

If it was deliberate he would, you never threaten a blokes jewels, but I'm pretty certain it wasn't deliberate, and the ref didn';t send him off for that because he'd already blown for the free kick, it was only after the push on Ronaldo that his hand went into his pocket.

Inadvertent, my ass!
You bias is blinding some of you to a ridiculous degree, as usual. Get over it!
Now you know how to spell inadvertent hope you choke to death.

Next time you run into me please explain 'bias' & why referees only have latino sex.

Props to Ricardo for being great at saving penalties. Yet again, we played poorly and failed to create anything. We've been lucky to get this far to be honest.

I'm off to celebrate.

I can't stand Wayne Rooney. He's a petty minded thug. But he didn't stand on Carvalho's jobbies on purpose - he was tripped by both Carvalho AND Figo (neither of whom touched the ball at any time while they were hacking at him) and simply put his foot on Carvalho - who he didn't know was on the floor - trying to regain his balance. Had he known Carvalho was there he'd have probably stamped right down (he probably blames him for the whole metatarsal thing, though I don't as I think Carvalho tripped his heel and the injury occurred when the top of his foot struck the turf and was bent as he fell), precisely because he's a petty minded thug.

Anyway, you go celebrate having a team full of cheats (Figo should be excluded from the tournament for the headbutt, Maniche went down clutching his face for no reason at all, Deco ran the width of the field to try to break someone's leg, Carvalho can't stay on his feet and the less said about Cristiano Ronaldo the better). Brazil ought to be a different kettle of fish altogether.

I don´t understand why Ronaldo demanded the red card for Rooney. They are teammates in Manchester. I wonder how the ManU fans will react when he is back.

Like this (Ronaldo on the left).

I think maybe slashing him with a sword is a bit much. Fergie should sack him. He's a one trick pony anyway.

Perugia sacked Ahn after he scored for South Korea against Italy at the last world cup

That was quite funny, in a sad and depressing way. It's not quite as extreme as when the Colombian drug cartels murdered Andreas Escobar after he scored an own goal which gave the US a win in the 1994 finals, but it's along the same lines.

I'd love to see the Manchester United training ground on the first day back - and get Opta to score how many times not-the-real-Ronaldo and Rooney pass to each other over the next season. Post goal hug? Doubt it.

You can look at that in two ways a: literal, we take a pair of swords and cut his head in half, not really going to fly though that. Or b: we cut him up verbally and in writing, which I can see happening.
