I dont have a top 10 but some I think are terrible are:
2 fast 2 furious
Snakes On A Plane
Snakes On A Plane
Snakes On A Plane
Snakes On A Plane
Snakes On A Plane
Snakes On A Plane

The Godfather in the worst movies of all time, Casio, are you serious. That movie is a classic and rightly so.

Ok. Yes it made its way in because it's overrated, but also because I've tried watching it at least 5 times and I'm yet to make it to the end because it's so mind numbingly boring. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Do I have to offer up a "Famine's Review" thread for each in order to explain in full that Terminator 3 was cynical, inept, turgid, foetus barf?

You are hereby required to write an essay about your actions and words. Describing with the utmost detail the various reasons of why you've said what you have. We'll expect said essay to be posted no later than this evening, standard Greenwich Meridien Time.

... or something.

I just remembered. Without a doubt the worst film i have ever seen is......
DOA: Dead Or Alive. Purely terrible, it makes Ewe Boll films seem like a Tarentino flick.

Well your opinions your opinion, can't argue with that.

On antoher note, Battlefield Earth, I don't know if I've seen it all the way through, but I have seen enough to know it's utter tosh. Good call to all who voted for it. I've never seen Ultravioltet though, and I don't intend to.

Then for the love of trees don't even think about watching U-571...
Too late. Another classic.

Even if you ignore IV-VI completely - they're quite hard to follow, I-III are appalling. We're asked to believe that a moralistic but headstrong young man instantly becomes an amoral, subserviant one. That all the power in the universe is dependant on tiny biological organisms, but allow inorganic objects to be manipulated (Yoda says that the Force flows through ALL things, not just organic ones). That a girl actually says "You're breaking my heart" out loud...

It's style over substance tosh. They hope we'll be distracted by the pretty things that played a supporting role in the previous films and not notice the appalling kicking to death they deliver to the script and storyline.

If anything they deserve their ranking more than the others. I'd buy a 6-film DVD set just so I could have a nice DVD set with IV-VI in it, and never watch I-III.
Way my mind operate, when it comes to Star Wars type "Sci Fi flick", parts(or much of :D) my mind shuts down. Maybe I just see Star Wars as kiddie type film, because I'm more judgemental when it comes Matrix.

But again, I do see your point.
Just edit it. I'll lock the thread before I do my Excel file and post the Poll, then unlock it again to allow further discussion.
Thank you.

P.S. I gotta ask. What didn't you like about Event Horizon? I might've actually asked this before. It's one of my favorite SF/Horror flicks.

Briefly explain?

Okay.

The Pursuit of Happyness was total ghack.
Terminator 3 was total ghack.

:lol::lol::lol:

Last Samurai was good. I know lots of people dont like Tom Cruise, but he has done much worse films. M:I:3 for one.

I've noticed a trend that people are voting for lots of new films. Think harder before you post newer films. You probably think there that bad cause you have watched them recently. I could have quite easily said Juno, Jumper or Captivity. All recent, all terrible/boring. But i know there are much worse films out there.
You didn't like Juno? I saw it recently and thought it was pretty good!

So umm. Yeah.

P.S. I gotta ask. What didn't you like about Event Horizon? I might've actually asked this before. It's one of my favorite SF/Horror flicks.

It was trying too hard to be a Sci-fi Horror. That kind of thing doesn't work well very often. I actually was jealous of Sam Neill - he got to pull out his own eyes. Mine still functioned at the end of the film.

Also, Lawrence Fishburne. I hear that the Amazon Rainforest has written to the Screen Actors' Guild to complain about him stealing their act.

We don't talk about the "indigo incident". Haven't you read the AUP?

actually i don't think anyone has read it. mostly i think people clicked the "I agree" thing and when on without reading the entire manual.

that and i can't find it so there.

As Smallhorses said, you asked for a brief explanation... Do I have to offer up a "Famine's Review" thread for each in order to explain in full that Terminator 3 was cynical, inept, turgid, foetus barf?

I could see that becoming a thread, and a popular one at that... I'd view it.

Terminator 3 was rather exorbitant, but the initial plotline was good to start; the execution may have been horrid.

Interesting how this thread is more active than its counterpart.

We don't talk about the "indigo incident". Haven't you read the AUP?
Dang it.

This doesn't count as a warning, does it? I've done seen Event Horizon, too, and boy howdy, I don't read so good ever since.....

Tango and Cash (Yes it was funny, but painful at times)
Fast and the Furious
Napolean Dynamite
Halloween 3 (had nothing to do with the rest of the series and it sucked!!
Crocodile Dundee III (The first two were allright)
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Attack of the Clones (not so much for being bad films, but because of where they left left the "good guys" when the movie ended)
Beverly Hills Cop III (The first two were very good, shoulda known when to pull the plug)
Any James Bond movies with Roger Moore (that guy is more "wooden" than William Shatner in his Star Trek days)
The new Veggie Tales movie (what is the point of having a movie based on funny singing vegatables, with little funny, and almost no singing?)

Beverly Hills Cop III is the best one! Agree with you on Halloween 3, what the hell was that all about.

And Sn00pie, nope Juno was boredom manifested in a film. Good acting, but that was it.

I kind of thought Juno was better than Napoleon Dynamite... much in the same vein, it captures the quiet desperation of suburban teenhood... but way funnier... way, waaaay funnier. My wife was actually able to sit through the movie, for one.

I rate it highly, but it's not as good as I thought it would be.

Never saw Napoleon Dynamite i just new i wouldnt find it funny. My girlfriend said it was crap and she didnt like Juno either. Its just a particular style of "humour" that i guess i dont find funny. I mean i found Epic Movie funnier than this lol.

I do have to wonder about some of the selections, though: Blazing Saddles?! That's one of the 2 or 3 funniest movies of all time.

We obviously don't have the same sense of humor. I HATED blazing saddles. I almost didn't make it all the way through (and I don't bail on movies very often). I also very much hated Airplane, but not as much.

1. Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions - Both terrible, confusing and nonsensical.

See, I couldn't disagree with you more on those - ok I'll give you some criticism of Revolutions, but Reloaded was the best of the 3, and a phenomenal movie. But I'll have to address this:

I am equally stunned...

Yea I don't know, I just couldn't stand it. I actually toughed the movie out and watched it all the way through too. But again, I was tempted to pull the plug.

For that, you die! No movie with Kiera Knigthley in it is not good! Not even Star Wars Episode I! Okay... well... maybe Star Wars Ep.I sucked balls... she was only an extra, anyway...

The Kiera argument is probably one of the best I've heard (though I don't think she was in Star Wars at any point). But yes, that movie overcame the Kiera scenery in several big ways. I wish that I had watched it more recently so I could give you a complete scathing review, but it's been a while. I only remember hating it passionately.

And keep in mind that this is coming from someone who has a chick-flick in his top 10 list - so I'm not just hating it because it's a romantic comedy.

Edit: It appears as though I started a thread on the movie:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=43477&highlight=love+actually

You can see some of the criticisms there, though it looks like I was still so irritated with the movie that I didn't take the time to really dissect it.

Some of the selections in here are just crazy. They either couldn't possibly be correct choices, or you guys haven't seen enough movies to select "10 Worst". Like Danoff's selection of Episode I-III, they can't be the 10 worst films he's ever seen. Maybe 10 that he was most dissapointed by. ;)

I'm sure that there are worse movies and that if I'd watched all of the movies ever made, the 10 worst would be ones that none of you had heard of before. But I've watched mostly popular movies that many other people have also watched, and so my top 10 list is probably far from the real bottom. That being said, Star Wars I-III was incredibly close to the bottom. One reason that I have them in my top 10 list is because I usually don't give a film any points whatsoever for non-human scenery (otherwise Planet Earth would be on the list). So all of the special effects in SWI-III don't count for squat in my rankings. The ratings are entirely plot/dialog/acting driven, and SW is among the worst I've ever seen. In fact, it's not even at spot number 10 in my list.

Would I rather watch:
Resident Evil: Extinction? Yes
Emma? Yes
The Village? Yes
Big Lebowski? Grrrrrrr.... Maybe
Blazing Saddles? Yes
Osama? No
Final Fantasy? No
Shoot 'Em Up? Yes

It's down around the worst movies I'd seen. Probably middle of the pack in my worst 10, maybe lower. Now let me compare it to the movies in your list.

a6m5
Transporter 2
Snakes on the Plane
Stealth
House of the Dead
Alone in the Dark
Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever
Meet the Fockers
Christmas Vacation
Bad Boys 2
Ultraviolet

I haven't seen either transporter, nor Snakes, Stealth, or House of the dead. Same goes for Alone in the dark and Ballistic. Meet the Fockers was bad, very bad. But I'd rather watch it again than SWI-III. Christmas Vacation was also quite bad, but again. Haven't seen BB2, but I have seen Ultraviolet. Again, I'd rather watch Ultraviolet again than see any of SWI-III. So of the movies that I've seen in your worst 10 list, I consider the prequels to be worse than any of them.

She was in Episode I, she played the queens double.

Interesting....... Another thing that's interesting is that when I started going over my own "Worst 10" in your post, I started to really understand Famine going on about pulling his eyes out.

NOTE: I don't watch a lot of movies so i'm at a very limited but may also be bias opinioned to:
-Dragon Wars, the animals were done really well but the plot was pretty crappy IMO.
-The Host (Korean Film)
-Jackass 2, most events were pretty stupid, some kept me laughing forever.
-300, again had to do with the plot.
-Fatal Contact (HK Film)

That's all i can think of right now

She was in Episode I, she played the queens double.

Yeah... which is why it almost doesn't count... she gets absolutely 0:00 screen-time out of make-up.

RE: Love Actually: How can anyone hate a movie with Bill Nighy dancing naked on TV? C'mon!

See, I couldn't disagree with you more on those - ok I'll give you some criticism of Revolutions, but Reloaded was the best of the 3, and a phenomenal movie.
I disliked them both, but perhaps I should make it just Revolutions as I hated that film. One reason I disliked it so much is because it felt superfluous - why was Reloaded/Revolutions two films? That said, this is certainly a film that divides opinion. My mate Mahesh (who gave me a free ticket to see Revolutions) loved it.

Yea I don't know, I just couldn't stand it. I actually toughed the movie out and watched it all the way through too. But again, I was tempted to pull the plug.
I have to admit, I didn't finish the film on the first attempt - just wasn't in the mood for it and didn't quite 'get' it at first. Only on a second attempt did I start to appreciate it more! Barton Fink was one of my favourite films at the time, though, and that helped to get my head round the tone of the Coen's humour.

I wish I could remember the name of a film my ex-gf got out on video once. Set in France and starring a couple of lesbian women, it had all the right stuff written on the box, but it was tragically pants. I'm quite glad I can't remember it's name, since I'd have to rewatch it just to remember quite how bad it was.

Baise-moi?
