So I could not get a steward last night and therefore didn't do my qualifying. I will be still racing tomorrow and just start from the back.

Pics and results from yesterday's great GT300 race.

The race is ON.

johnkiller sets break-neck pace from the start.

Close traffic still on lap 2.

hellboy nudges GV27 into the sand

Lap 6. Scanny_Flick, ByGGy and GV27 close, but BuGGy loses it, and GV gets damage and has to pit.

Lap4-6. Paginas "I was in an RX-7 sandwich, scary" - between johnkiller (front) and I.

Paginas and johnkiller started swapping positions, mostly on the straight, very close, while I slowly lost their draft. Kept messing up the final chikane.

I pitted on lap 10 but they just charged ahead.

Lap 12. Scanny_Flick under attack. I worked my way up through the field on fresh tyres. Nobody else were on a 2-stopper except unlucky GV27!

I had worked out that 1 vs 2 stops would differ by very few seconds in the end, so I was still confident.

On lap 14 I had an accident with jashugan, not sure if it was my fault but I deemed myself to wait for him to get back. That cost me some seconds that I missed dearly later on!

Lap 14. johnkiller and Paginas still fiercely battling it out before both pitting at this lap.

Lap 15. hellboy is away in front, but has not pitted yet.

I am in the middle of stint 2, overtaking jashugan (on old tyres), while Paginas and johnkiller are just coming out of pits.

The hunt is on.

Lap 16: hellboy crawling still on old tyres, I am about to take the spot, with Paginas and johnkiller hunting.

Lap 19: I have to surrender to the guys on newer tyres. And frankly, they were just a bit faster anyway.

But the battle is not over. I pit on lap 20, and come out still in third place, with a 30 sec gap. Hot-lapping away...

Final lap. Paginas' tyres are worn and I breeze past. My strategy finally starts working...

... but it is too late, johnkiller has made too much of a gap, and he makes it home in style.

Probably the best race report I have ever seen. If this is going to be a regular feature, then we need to find a way if getting this into the op.
Looked a great race. Well done to all involved. I have always thought that the best races are in gr300 👍
