litch I think you have mixed up the Subaru specs. As the 03 only had turbo 2 and the 08 had turbo 3
 
The 03 originaly had a low turbo (stage 1) and the 08 medium (stage 2).

The 03 had T1, the 08 has T2.
Undetectable on the '03 though, and doesn't really change performance, so T3 it has been changed to.

'08 can make 336HP @ 545PP, by the way.(under regulation)

Twisted has tested the '08 and I was with him in the room. I watched him. And I'm pretty sure that we finally decided for a Turbo 2.
 
The race tonight.
Are we using our Season cars or the car that we signed the roll call with?
I'd prefer to use the Calsonic that i'm going to use for the season.
If not, its not a big deal.

Since CSLACR has switched to the NTSC GT300 Class, we now have only one Steward / Capable Host for the NTSC GT500 Class (L_Hamilton). It would be nice to have a minimum of 2 Steward / Capable Host per class

So, who can do the Steward job? The Host job? The both?

Welcome to WSGTC newbies! I'll keep this brief and in simple English. Race clean, disciplined, and respectful around your fellow competitors! Fast but incompetent drivers need not apply - rather have slow and clean! Read the Racing Code 685 times (Click Here!).

You must follow the Car Specs and Regulations pictured below (TBA)! Not following specs will result in an immediate Disqualification.

While inside the race lobby, do not use the 'CHAT' feature while Stewards are sending out instructions for pre-race checks. If you have questions, go ask them NOW! Otherwise, read the OP. We will be using a special pre-race qualifying that is listed below - Read it! Thank you for your patience!

Car Specs and Regulations (All cars at Max Downforce for GT300!)
GT500 Regs - Open PP tuning.
All cars must be fully broken in, same as they would with set specs.
Modifications are unlimited.

Pre-Race Qualifying
  • Since we're not doing the weekly qualifying, we'll do a pre-race one instead.
  • After pre-race PP Checks are done, the track will be reset.
  • The field will be given 15 minutes to do their Qualifying in Free-Run
  • If you are satisfied with a lap, DRIVE back to the pits. DO NOT press PAUSE and then EXIT!
  • Again, drive back to the pits! Do not press pause and exit!
  • Stay in the Pits and wait for the start of the race.
  • Once everyone has been confirmed to be inside the pits, the host will start the race.
  • Once the countdown hits ZERO, DO NOT MOVE!
  • The field will roll slowly and maintain 50mph/80kph
  • Maintain your grid spots while holding a double-file grid (8 rows, 2 columns)
  • Follow the Rolling Start Procedure Inside the OP!
  • Goodluck and Have Fun!

Mixed Class - Formation lap procedure

  • GT300's will sort their grid positions first. While GT300's sort their grid, GT500's DO NOT MOVE. GT300 cars move from the grid ONE by ONE in qualifying order.
  • The Pole car drives up and parks about 100 m (300 ft) ahead. (WHILE DOING SO, THE OTHER CARS DO NOT MOVE ONE INCH). As he pases the start line, the
  • next driver can move up, and so on. Once all cars are in the correct position and are NOT moving, the pole car may start the first of two formation laps. When
  • the first lap is completed, be sure to pass the parked GT500 pack with caution. As soon as the GT300 pack have passed the GT500 pack (It's not always that GT300's need to pass the GT500's to lead the formation lap, details will be provided by the host before race start), the GT500's may pull
  • away from the start line ONE by ONE in starting order. From here on, GT300's lead the formation lap, with GT500's about 45-60 seconds behind.
  • We use this procedure to try and ensure that all cars got a decent chance of completing the race before the timer (max 180 sec) runs out. By doing this, we
  • also get finishing times for (hopefully) all cars making any penalties incurred easier to apply.
  • With this in mind, follow the steps below:
  • First, you must remember your Grid Spot (Super Lap Qualifying).
  • Hold your positions when countdown reaches zero.
  • Cars will make their way ONE BY ONE to the front and roll as a separate pack.
  • Cars must roll at a maintained pace of 55 mph / 90 kmh.
  • Field will roll double file (Single file for the Nurburgring 24h race).
  • Odd numbers will start on the inside lane relative to turn 1.
  • Even numbers will stay on the outside lane (Opposite side).
  • The Pole sitter will decide the point at which the race starts as he approaches the start-finish line.
  • You must maintain a minimum of One car length between you and the car in front (same lane).
  • One car length is the minimum, meaning it's up to you how large the gap is.
  • You must always maintain FULL visual contact with the ahead of you (opposite lane).
  • You're front bumper must not overlap the rear bumper of the car ahead of you (oposite lane), doing so can be viewed as a false start and a penalty can be applied as a result.
  • You must wait for the car ahead of you (opposite lane) to accelerate before you do!
  • No passing before the start finish line! Penalties will be strictly enforced for false starts, illegal passing, and overall aggressive driving!
  • * In case of a disconnect during the formation lap; cars behind must maintain position and can NOT move up the grid. Doing so can result in a penalty for breach of "jump start".

This is the order that you (host) have to follow to proceed of the "Checks" before a race in an official WSGTC Room.

  • 315hp -->> APEX MR-S / Celica
  • 325hp -->> Asparadrink's
  • 335hp -->> Garaiya's / Subaru's
  • 355hp -->> Lexus

PP Checks

  • 530pp -->> Asparadrink's / Garaiya '08
  • 531pp -->> APEX MR-S
  • 538pp -->> Garaiya '03
  • 539pp -->> Celica
  • 545pp -->> Subaru '08
  • 548pp -->> Subaru '03
  • 549pp -->> Lexus
  • 596pp -->> YMS Supra / Xanavi / Calsonic / Yellowhat GTR
  • 597pp -->> Motul / Takata / Arta / Raybrig / Stealth NSX

As you can see, there are a lot of available spots in each room. But actually, because of a GT5 bug, we can do a nice race with only 12 drivers per room. It means that we stop the sign up when there will be 6 GT500 and 6 GT300 per room.

If need, we can do 2 rooms per conference = 48 spots. :)

well after this change I will prob want to change my choice of car as I'm not being lumped with a car with a flat power curve, I just don't get on with them..

why was the 03 even changed. It seemed to be perfect with the rest of the field...

I'm told it goes a hair faster with the T3, should be pretty close to the same though overall.
 
I get 545pp at 335 hp on the 08 Subaru.
Also we will be checking hp and pp, this way although you can get 336hp at 545pp, you would fail the checks 👍
When I tested the 08, I found it was quicker with the stage 2 turbo.
With the stage 3 turbo at 335hp the pp is only 542.
If anyone disagree's I suppose now is the right time to discuss

The only thing that you have to do is to go on this sheet and type your GTP ID in the right column near your PSN ID. Nothing more.
The number near your PSN ID isn't your rank, this is your Competition Number.
This number will be assigned to you for all the season.

well I don't think final car choices should stand and should be pushed back because now my car has been changed and I might not like it. Its quite a big change as well from a t1 to t3 and a massive power limit on it which results in a flat power curve which to be honest I hate as you have to think even more when driving lol

this will have to be confirmed but the specs listed are the maximum you are allowed. now we are checking horsepower and pp it is impossible to reduce downforce and add power. i am sure if you wanted to use a stage 1 turbo instead of stage 3 that should be ok. just dont exceed 335bhp.
in the same way you dont have to use full downforce or you dont have to use all of your allowed hp.
maybe CSL and litchi could see what they think?
 
@CSLACR: Do you think we take a risk if we switch the guys in the room 2 to the room 1 (NTSC Conference)?

Even if its not a big deal, I see no reason why we shouldn't use the cars we will have for the season.

Not my call though.

In the regs the 08 is listed as turbo stage 2 335hp and 545 pp
What do you get?
