.:Nürburgring GP/F Specifics:.

Qualification rules for Nurburgring GP/F will be usual. You have 2 laps to submit your Superlap.

nurburgring.jpg

  • IMPORTANT NOTE:
There are three problem spots, turns 1, 2, the T5 kink, and obviously the T14/15 chicane.

Do not go past the white line/run-off area on turn 1 exit.

Do not go wide right on turn 2, you must stay within the rumble strips and you can only have two tires max on the run off tarmac at any time.

Do not go past the white line/run-off area on the exit of turn 4 going through the T5 kink.

Always maintain at least two tires on the rumble strips going through the chicane. Two wheels on the grass is ok, never more.

[*]Green Flag: Polecar will decide where the start is (somewhere before the startline). He must make sure that ALL cars are clear of the last turn before starting.
It's totally up to the pole car, as long as ALL cars behind him are on the straight. He can not start the race if the last car is still in the middle of the last turn. Pole car has right side of track for first right turn.

[*]Make sure to stay on track at ALL times with at least 2 wheels touching white line / Red / White curb. You can not use run offs or tarmac of any kind to gain speed. You will be penalized heavily during the race and disqualified for having a dirty lap in qualifying.
Just stay inside the rumble strips and course white lines.

    [*]Special Mixed Class Starting Procedure:
GT300's will do one lap then line up behind GT500s and wait to roll out.

[*]If you feel insecure of where the track limit is, just join a quali-session during mon-wednesday and ask a steward to do a slow lap with you.

    [*]Pit lane.
Entry: Go slowly into the pits as it's a quick right hair pin and the first part of the hair pin is all you.

Exit: Nothing special about the exit. Just make sure to stay right when you enter the track until you are 100% sure that you will not cause an accident.
General: When entering and exiting pits, the white lines are ment to be respected. Yes, you can cross the white line when entering and exiting the pits. But if an incident occur, the driver who crossed the white line (The one on track, or the one who comes out from the pits) will be held responsible, and a penalty will come as a result.

Hey guys, had a pretty decent race with only Two minor mistakes. Had some close and clean racing with Monstar and maxking. Went off just a bit In turn 2 then monstar just took off. How's the tire wear on the GT-R? The Petronas SC will do pretty good till around lap 5-6 in a stint then it's like I put on comfort hards then some grip will slowly come back till around lap 14-15 where the tires completely fall off.

Oh, and one thing, Harrison, please take these races a little more seriously. Rage quitting isn't encouraged, especially on lap 1 out of a 43 lap race. Thanks.

Not to bad. Tyres fall off at lap 5-6 but are completely gone after 13 laps. I only stayed out till lap 15 as I had a 7 second gap and wanted to get a better strategy for the remainder of the race. If we were still close at around lap 12-13 I would have pitted

Will do my qualifying after 2.03 comes out. Hopefully this time, I can play the game without worries.

Just read the front page news about the bug! Wow, those are some shocking results. That video of Norschleife showing GT5's lap being 33 secs slower than real life! :scared: Fix this 🤬 PD!!

Or I can let PD keep the bug and make the bug affect everyone else but me! :D That way I can win!

Makes that comp against DC pointless don't you think? Lol

I told him about the bug and he decided to skip the race. We both should be racing on the weekend assuming the bug gets fixed. :D

You know, we had no bugs this weekend. ;)
It can be avoided if treated with care.

Hopefully we'll find this week it gets better though.👍

I got hit by the bug :D. I was doing 31s when room was at 15 people. Had no grip, frame rate was sloppy. Then room got down to 12 or 13(dont remember) and was doing 29s. Got 2nd fastest lap on the race. It could just be me, but I felt a huge difference on the car when room got smaller. I keep praying for a fix on 2.03.

Because of the bug, we can only run 12 cars per room ( provisional). This week we are running same class dual heat.
Only the top 12 qualifyers in each division are guaranteed to race

Ok sweet. I'm not to worried about last seasons times as those cars had at least 10 more PP.

Btw I sent friend request to those WSGTC " friends "

hey guys.

as the main qualifying stages have finished is there any need for that thread now? Or does it still have a purpose. I'm just getting lost with thread to use lol

Thanks for the race saturday. Congrats Monstar-1. Good job everyone.

Well probably be down to one thread once it gets started. Ill send out those request in a few. Lobby ideas are good right on. Itll help on wondering if someone belongs or not.

Can you guys help me with a few questions?

Profile pic. Driver pic i assume. I saw we should pm them. Should we just post them in the quali thread? It wont fill up anyones pm box that way. Just a thought.

Qualifying for Nurb. T14, T15.
white line vs rumble strip. I saw very early on the thread this being discussed saying the rumble strip is the track.

What is the limit here?

White lines = left wheel on rumble strip and right wheel on track before white line @ T14 (this is what i do)

Rumble strips = right wheel on rumble strip past white line @ T14. Left wheel off track. (This was the example shown on Monza and was acceptable)

Thanks

The second example. As long you have 2 wheels on the rumble strip it will be clean. If you want clarification, once you have added the new accounts, a steward will do a slow lap with you to show you the track boundaries.

Would i need a USB to get my driver pics up?

Take the picture on ps3 and upload online. (for friends to see)
Go to the gran-turismo site from your pc and log in
Find the pic and save to pc
Upload to flickr or photobucket and link it

Ouch sorry on the double post!
