Btw, I will be happy making it into the championship. this understeering pig for a car doesn't suit my driving style as I like to tune for a lively rear end.

How many spots in the championship are we qualifying for.

Hey Johan,

120 spots available (30 x 500 & 30 x 300 for both PAL and NTSC)

20 (I think, or 21) spots reserved for WSGTC veterans

Spots available through winning one of the pre-season races (or only being beaten by a veteran/veterans) I think there will have been 4 x 500 and 4 x 300 pre-season races across both conferences before quali deadline.

Obviously the exact split of the spots that remain available through the qualifier depends on which class and conference both the veterans and pre/season race winners choose to run in.

If you're not getting on with the non-tuneable qualifier car I would suggest getting in on a pre-season race where you can tune you car, you're more than capable of winning one 👍

Becouse you said you're doin 11's. Seemed a bit strange to me. :)

And because the game defaults to sports soft regardless of what the room regulations are set at (unless the room regs are set to a harder tyre than sports soft)

Because if this you have to physically change the car to use racing hards so double check 👍

Edit: On the subject of 'room grip' I had something going on in PURE race room on Sunday night (Nurburgring GP/F)

I qualified on Saturday with a 1:57.8 (PB before that was a 1:57.6)

In the feature race, when running alone, I could not break 1:59, I eventually got a 1:58.5 but that was with a quarter of a tank of fuel.

Then the track was reset for the sprint race. Following a very early (lap 1) pitstop for damage I was immediately running 1:58.1-1:58.3 consistently for half a dozen or so laps on a full tank??

I can't say that I could necessarily feel a difference (mid corner speed was probably down by a few mph) but the lap times were blatantly not there in race 1 and without personally changing anything they were back in race 2

It looks to me as if something like this does happen its not necessarily a room wide issue (as other people often say they saw no difference when running in the room in question), it can just affect a single driver.

I also had it a few weeks ago in an LMP race where I couldn't get near the lap times I was consistently running in a practice sessions a few days earlier although that time it did actually feel like I had no grip (regularly running wide / off the road etc)

oh I tought you gave me some hope that I could use soft tires or so :grumpy: (hehe)

I think it's my ****** driving....

Yea it must be your driving I guess. :) You drive with a pad?

Come on mate, I'm sure you can find a second or two...

I've heard about changing the BB but how do I do it? I use a G27 and it can't be done on the wheel :(
Re map the DS3 buttons and use that.👍

BTW, I turned my best laps at 5/5 and 4/5, this car is very good stock.

Ohh my lord my TV just died :( that's gonna be 2 months without PS3 :(:(:(
Say it ain't so! We need more drivers of your caliber. :indiff:

i think i will buy a Philips Full HD 32'' 280 euros that's a reasonable price with a TV Mount!

It is possible, I believe it's happened to me once. Was running 1-2 seconds a lap slower in multiple cars at Spa once.
BUT - Immortal ran a near personal best 2:06.8xx lap, his PB being 2:06.55x, which means he clearly did not have less notable grip then any other time. If differences of 3 tenths occur and we were to try to monitor them we'd be fools.
I've taken a break to go change oil in offline WRS events, only to come back and run .5 or more off pace for a while, not knowing what I was doing wrong, only to eventually find the speed. Because of this I've learned that driver variance can make up to as much as a full second just from getting out of the seat, so to speak. Anything 1 second or less I chalk up to myself, and since then I've found my lap times in every single room I've been in.

As they say, "works every time". A reason I always run some laps before a quali, to make sure I'm up to par. I hinted to Immortal in the room to practice a bit before starting, I believe he ran 1 lap on cold tires.

Masi giving you sufficient warning that I may need to do the qualifier at a later date due to the weather making the power in my house flicker. (Ill still try do it today just letting you know)

C'est noté ;) lol oups

Is noted ;)

I agree with CSL. I think a difference of 3 tenths of a sec isnt a big deal. Now, when you are a full second slower then yes something is up. Immortal, dont worry its still a great lap and you'll get a good car. You might have experienced slightly less grip but that happened to me as well at FMSC finale. I couldnt run lower than 33.5 when I had run 33.2 several times. But then again its not a big of a difference.

I only get pissed off when Im much much slower, with differences of a second or more like I had at Nurb. GP/F at FMSC. In these cases, the car is just totally different and you notice huge differences.

I'm probably going to open a warm-up/practice/qualifier room in a short bit and hold it till the official qualifier room is up or 3:00, whichever is first.

I'll be in and out to see if anyone shows and wants to run their qualifier. Maybe run a few laps and see that I should have waited to quali too.

I intentionally didn't quote immortal's situation as there's nothing in it as far as I'm concerned 👍

i have a playseat evolution and dont need this seat.
But i know my speed with correct grip and that was not correct grip i know that i have had this one time in a race where was 16 driver i have had no grip in the first laps.

I was more concerned with this:
You do not understand me.....sorry.
Right before the quali they told me to leave the room where I made my normal times. Why?
Once opened the new room I could start my quali....you understand.....and my grip was gone......
So therefore I need to make a new quali as this is NOT fair.
Reckon that everybody understands me that when being always below 2:07 and right during the quali much slower....what the hell happens here????

The times are important for me to get the GT500 car I am used to drive.
Otherwise I will have to withdraw unfortunately.

Everybody knows following:

I am 3rd from more than 100000 people so I know what I am talking about when everybody has same conditions for racing.
Really? If you can't have a GTR you'll quit? Please tell me I'm mis-interpreting and that you are capable of driving other cars like the rest of us, yes?

I'd be damned if I'd provide a link to display my skill level and then post saying I can only drive a certain car, or else I'll quit.

Time trials are BS in my opinion. I know people who were Top 10, top 20 on time trials and GT Academy and I have beaten them several times. Some are just too fast, and Im nowhere near their pace. Don't use time trials to show off your skill, use race results instead. That's the way I see it.

LoL, tony theres like 3 GTR's first of all, 2nd, all cars are capable of winning, the NSX i had lots of problems with but if you can handle it its going to have the speed to win (Spa it kicks @ss) You need open tracks for the NSX's, but GTR's are much faster in turns, nsx has a great top speed ;)

Thanks CSL.
I hope i can make it in. Went wide on that 3rd lap, had to slow down too much. Could have ran .5-.7 better for sure. I got down to 2:08.8 in practice with HTrio. Hes fast! I need to work on consistency. The last lap i went off so i slowed down and just finished that one. I think i tried to hard making up for lap 3.

Thanks

NTSC is slower then PAL.
You'll have no problems racing with that pace. I'm not gonna lie and say you'll be winning races, but depending on ballast and car/track combos, it's an honest possibility. 👍
Just remember the 3 P's

Patience
Pit strategy

If I don't have the Garaya '08 for this season, I'll quit!!!
