I can host room B tonight. 👍

I work from home and I can have the room open on time, but will not be able to start any runs until about 19:10-19:15 PST.

I will update the thread with the room # shortly after the room is created.

i'm almost crowned as the fastest off the PAL GT300 Qualifiers! that would be awesome ! by the way BlacqueJacques you shouldn't quit because you think you aren't fast enough too compete with us, it's all about fun at the end of the day, i hope you'll just commit too the series :)

  • You also hereby understand that not showing up on the aforementioned date and time, without prior notification to a Steward, will result into an indefinite ban from the series.
  • In case of connection issues, any problems will not be blamed upon the specific driver. If he is unable to connect, he is allowed to join another session.
 
Hopefully it's just tyre wear change and since the qualifiers don't use tyre wear, we'll be ok. Sounds like the best change in the patch though, since I'm hearing that Hards now last significantly longer than Softs. Might mean strategy can actually work by using different tyres, iiiiiiiiiiinteresting.
 
I've read a few people say that they are now 1 sec + slower than they were on a like for like tyre but I'm not convinced, will be trying soon. Hopefully they have just altered the wear rates and not the grip levels as well.

On the wear rates ive read that the compounds are now all different which is great, but, it appears that to achieve this they have made the mediums and softs wear quicker and left the hards as they are.

IMO the wear rate for the softs was about right and the others should have been made to last longer. We may now have a soft tyre that's only good for 6 laps on an 3-4 mile circuit.......can't be right. Not a concern for us hardies here though

The before and after the update.

I'm pretty old and set in my ways and the quali still fresh from last night, so I setup an online room as per the quali car and room settings.

Did a flying lap then two laps just as I would normaly.

2'08.537 and a 2'08.266 if you look at my times above you'll notice that these are just about right.

I would say there is no difference at all in the performance on a timed lap.

Hope this is helpful to admin too.

Yea. There is no difference cause the tyre deleption is set to OFF so, no worry, all fine 👍 . The update doesn't affect that, it affects only the tyres wear when it's set to ON ;)

For this quali, you have to use the Super Leggera from the Online garage. This car is a recomanded car, not your own car. So you can't change the suspensions, LSD, gear ratio, etc... ;) She's totally stock.
 
What differences has the update made to the cars tires when set to on? over a race distance?

Nothing has changed regarding the qualifier as far as I'm concerned.
There was no physics update to ponder like spec II, and tire wear is off. I've already ran very close to PB times in the game since the update.

can everyone double check the spreadsheet and make sure their times have been added. If not please do say so we can correct it.
 
This is a really stupid question but for some reason I can't find the leaderboards anywhere, where is the link for the spreadsheet?
