Fokker D.XXI? Mmm, can't be, got fixed gears... Think the guy above me is right ;)

Sad this is only the first time I notice the thread :P

<Z>

No-one has it yet. Not even nearly. It's a 1936 plane, and they only made one of them. 911_Carrera came closest as it had a Fiat engine. Any more ideas?

Umbra A.U.T.18

Googled it :guilty:

Enjoy ;)

Good one Zembla, I was getting worried I'd have to give the anwser away.

I've no idea what your plane is, but I'd say it was assembled incorrectly ;)

So it would seem yes :(

Mmmm, gonna try and fix it, dunno how long that will take as I'm at work now...

[EDIT] oops, was not logged in, seemed like the post/picture was screwed up, seems like it's not now that I've logged in though :) ffieuw

Hi, Zembla Long time lurker, I see... Glad to have another face in the Aircraft thread.

The plane you posted is a Miles M37 (don't recall the precise number off the top of my head). I posted it a month or so ago, so put up another one for us to try!

Yeah, it's a miles, not a 37 though, a 35 ;) Fair enough, will put up a new one.

BTW, yup long time lurker, but not so-active lurker...

Looks like a J-3 Cub... hard to tell from the side if it's a clipped wing version or not.

Heh, whatever it is, it's licensed from the Piper J-3 design, that's for sure.

Zembla
Here's a J-3 for comparison:

The jury's out, but they're awfully similar.

Without doing any research, Carrera, is that a Fairey Battle?

It isn't a Fairey Battle.

But you are not far-off.

I found a site that I think says that the Paulistina is a licensed J-3. It is in Spanish so I'm not absolutely sure.

All right, if it's not a Battle, it's probably a Fulmar, then.
It is a Fulmar. It looks similar to the Battle but is a completely different plane - much smaller. A fighter rather than the (hopeless) bomber that the Battle was. Fleet Air Arm was pleased to receive it as it had armament similar to the land fighters (Spitfire and Hurricane) but it was soon replaced by the Seafire.

Duke again.

Ah guess I was wrong then, my bad...

Yeah, I didn't do any research on those. I knew if it wasn't the Battle it had to be the Fulmar. Since then I've looked up the Fulmar and I see the chin radiator is different, and it has more of a Spit/Hurricane spinner than the Battle.

OK, here goes, yet another British aircraft:

That funny tail looks like a Martin-Baker.

Edit: Yep a MB-3. I think.

Istrebel 16, or Rata...

wanna fly it? Fly Il2, or Warbirds FH

This is no advertising, especially considering you guys are probably pretty much into aviation, and by the look of things, like the good old fashioned pistons pretty well ;)

<Z>

That would be a Commonwealth Boomerang - one of my favorites. Though we did have it from a different angle a few weeks ago. So post another one!

911_Carrera
Yes - I have one.

Oh no I don't - I'm an incorrigible liar.

I meant you could crank up good ole Il2 or Warbirds or any other sim with exotic planes. Manye xotics have been modeled, however, many have yet to be modeled...
