A Toyota by any other name is still a Toyota, so don't try telling me they are an "American" cars!:lol:

Note above applies to Acuras and Infinitys as well, sticking a different name on a car doesn't change what they really are. Oh and the Europeans should feel the same about Opel/Vauxhall which is really just another brand name for GM like Chevy and Pontiac.

At least a Ford is a Ford wherever you are in the world.

I don't mean to be judgmental, or rude, but that's kind of stupid. Specifically regarding your point on Toyota and Lexus being the same. Under this logic, that it's all the same, then the Teslas are what then?

I am on the Toyota website trying to find what the LFA is based on. Now checking out the IS F. What about the IS? Hmm. Well, surely there is the GS? The LS?

The ES does work...so hey, there's one example out of their line up, in case you'd like some point to what you're saying. FYI, the closest thing to the LFA or IS F is the Tundra, speaking in horse power terms and FR driveline. Have you never seen under a hood of a toyota? Or a Lexus?

Please explain to me which, how, why, something 'toyota' compares to the LS 600 h.

Now don't get me wrong, Honda/Acura, and Nissan/Infinity are pretty tight, but at least NAIAS, walking through Lexus vs Toyota are WORLDS apart.

At least with H/A and N/I, there are class differences material differences. Maybe even more, I'm not sure. But with GM and pontiac, chevy, olds, caddy, buick, gmc, saturn, saab, hummer, and I know there are more. How many of almost the same vehicles does one need? Other than Hummer (major respect to the Alpha), they are all just re writes of exact same models.

I have to wait another hour or so to do my hurt/heal, but I am eager. That idea sounded good for the 'ultimate' manufacturer. It would be cool for all the saved, and dead, to go head to head.

Worst ever (hurt):

And first by the same rules (maybe more points if this is so popular), first to make the break point wins it's position. So 1st is number 1, second number two, first dead is last, so on. Realistically, the whole list should be split in half, and by organizing saved/dead list this way, we could rank them through the community view.

I had the idea (loosely based off of others lol) to the a Heal/Hurt GT5 Car list.

That'd be fun, right?

Didn't think Lexus would be so hated, the premiums are all pretty nice.

I'm surprised as well; I'm practically in tears seeing all the hate for it. You people disgust me. :yuck:

That's a great idea for the utlimate manufactuer. 👍

Also, the IS and the GS uses Toyota V8 engines as well as a Nissan 370/G37 uses a VQ37 or a Chevy Camaro/Pontaic Firebird with a LS1. So they are kinda related. The only car that Lexus made without it being created in a Toyota made car first is the LFA, which uses a NA V10 engine. This engine wasn't made for any Toyota car in Japan, the US and the world. The LFA's is a exclusive engine designed from Toyota/Lexus.

I'm against ultimate manufacturer. One is enough. And besides which, the first that was healed here (Toyota IIRC) would just be a good gauge to be honest.

Oh, I figured something like that, regarding Lexus. But Nissan/Infinity are almost direct ports from one model, Maxima to the M series, Altima to G series. My argument to Lexus is that the Lexus range is NOT the Toyota range with re badging, Such as GM's entire product line.

I have no clue why so many people are against Ford. Other than Lancia and Benz, I can't see a company that could even be compared. I do see if people are stuck 10 years ago, when Ford was just as bad as the rest. But since early 2000, everythings been pretty great. But I suppose having insider knowledge (not like secret squirrel, but employee knowledge) and only being familiar with vehicles themselves from other companies, not the companies themselves, I may not know the full scoop. And the new Mondeo/Fusion?

I'll upload a pic from NAIAS this year, BEAUTIFUL. edit:Can't figure it out...lol

It's all opinion based. Personally I find no use for Ford in this game (or in real life, if I'm honest ). They just seem so underpowered, there ugly, and I can find more enjoyment from Dodge or Chevy or just about any German car in the game.

Again it's all based on opinion. Just give me a Viper over a Ford GT any day

@GT55YW my complaint isn't really with Lexus, but rather with PD's treatment of them. If you look all the standard Lexus are listed as American cars yet every single one of them is a rebadged Toyota. GS300=Toyota Aristo, IS200=Toyota Altezza, SC300 and 430=Toyota Soarer. All the premium models that tend to be more distinct to the Lexus division are listed as Japanese. If Lexus was a distinctly U.S. division of the Toyota corporate empire then all that divisions cars should have been listed as American not just the rebadged Toyotas.
If they have not been saved by the time Lexus is either dead or saved I'll go after Acura and Infinity as well for the same reasons.
Nothing against the cars or the listed manufacturers, just PD's biased treatment.

One of the best cars I ever owned in real life was an '86 "Plymouth" Colt which in reality was designed and built by Mitsubishi and simply got rebadged as a Plymouth.

Keeping the various corporations, their divisions, and the various entanglements they've had straight can be a challenge but showing obvious national bias gets a 👎👎 from me.

Daihatsu happens to be one of my favorite in game manufacturers (sadly it was dead before I joined this thread.:() and is yet another division of the Toyota corporate empire. Yet it offers a prime example of PDs bias as the Cuore/Mira TR-XX Avanzato R are identical cars the only difference being that the Cuore is the name used for export and Mira the JDM name. Strangely enough if you fully upgrade the engines of both cars the Mira will make more HP from the same size Turbo.:odd: Read the write ups PD provides, check the listed specs, then explain how that happens.

You'll find the same thing happening with most of the cars that PD has included as both a JDM model and an export model, whether they carry the same brand name or names from different divisions.

Anyways enough of my ranting.:crazy::lol:

PS. GT55YW I don't have a problem with you or your posts this is all about having fun. Peace friend.
