Guys, physics are changing, according to what Kaz said, after installing Spec 2.0. So the last race with "old" physics will be La Sarthe this weekend.

And when I thought I was getting adapted to the car, everything will change and will have to start the process again!

The physics arent changing for the whole game, just a few cars that had bad physics. Im very happy they are going to fix it(unless they make it worse).

Looking forward to the new spec 2. Hope there's a few new tracks in there. I read there's gonna be replay forward & rewind which is long overdue. That'll please the race stewards among us!

Where has this been said? I thought the only thing which has been said is that there will be 'improved physics and AI'.

I feel sorry for the people who just got the game now and have all those massive updates to download. That's at least an hour or so weight... Just to download, installing will probably another 30 minutes.

Sorry for getting off topic.

It wouldnt make sense overhauling the whole physics engine, now would it? As long as they dont make it worse, its fine, but it will be like playing GT5 from day one.

I actually like the fact that La Sarthe will be our last race before Spec 2.0. Quite fitting seeing as this is our big race of the season.

I agree with this, Mule!! :D

And don't misunderstand me. I'm majorly excited about Spec 2.0. I just wonder how different it'll be, in the end.

I deleted and re-installed my game data about 3 weeks ago.
About 1.5 gigs to download, not counting last update (tiny) and Spec II.

If they fix the ACR not having proper downforce I'll be forced to try to make a series.
But hope is doubt.:indiff:

First paycheck = money = GTPremium. Now I don't have to worry about filling my inbox up, and constantly deleting old emails :)

Last night before I went to work, I did a couple of laps at La Sarthe. I wasn't pushing at al, and did a lap that was already faster than my pole time last season.

HOLLA BACK YA'LL MULE'S GETTIN' PAID GREEN *cough* CANADIAN.

Can't wait for you to get a wheel and start spanking these monkeys! Congrats man you've earned it! And just in time for Spec.ial 2.0 greatness!

Oh damn, we better watch out for Mule when he gets his wheel... Congrats on the job :) Oh btw, what wheel are you thinking in getting? Im definitely sticking with my G25 now that Spec 2.0 is bringing official support for it! 👍:)

I agree. There is no basis to say only certain cars will be affected by the physics changes. Look at how the announcement groups the information. I believe it said something along the lines of improved physics and AI. It appears to imply that the physics model which all cars react to will be updated. The physics engine isnt specific to any one car. The cars have parameters which determine how they each interacts with the physics model. IOW, physics model is the equation and car parameters are the variables. If it was limited to only select cars I do not believe Kaz would say improved physics. No way to know for sure.

The new weather controls are going to be great for online series. We can actually plan to have wet races now. I've never raced online in the wet so that is very exciting to me.

Glad to hear Mule is getting a wheel!

Um, who said I was getting a wheel now? I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch again.

Trust me, guys. I plan on getting one. Potentially I could order one next week, depending on how big the paycheck is.

But the last time I was planning on wheel shopping, I only got 3 days of work. 👎

One person said it and everyone just assumed you were based on that because they were too lazy to read previous posts to see if it was true, including me.

Just a quick heads up that I won't be at the race on Sunday. It's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and I'm having family over on Sunday. Everyone have a good race and I'll see you all after Spec 2.0!

Feels weird at Sarthe, managed 4:21 in a quick session, feels slow though, idk.

4:21.341 was pole last season at La Sarthe, so it's definitely not slow. However we're all a lot faster than we were last season, so I'd expect some much faster laps this time around.

uh is it me or has the forum changed on my laptop its all centered....

Really sucks that you wont be racing, Wiifreak. :( Luckily my Turkey day plans don't interfere with being able to host/race.

Quali still on later?

I'm hoping the race will start on time tomorrow seeing as it's a 250km endurance, got quite a busy day the next day.

Yeah. Might open it up a little bit earlier, seeing as how I'm watching Bathurst tonight.

Good to know, I hope to hit a 20, or I guess with some luck maybe a 19, but that would probably be it for me, a bit weird everyone runs faster now than before...

I can't see anyone hitting a 19 without the draft, honestly. Someone like Aderrrm could probably get a low 20, but I'd be shocked to see anyone get under that.

EDIT: Okay, I stand corrected. I just hit a 4:20.004

I don't know, I imagine I can get high 20's, it's hard to say exactly what aliens will ring in.
I would say there is certainly that possibility though.

Room soon?
