The title says it all.

Because GT5 will be such a massive game, I suspect this will be the case for many. For me, it will probably be the case too, I will probably sell all my racing games, pretty obviously apart from the ultimate GT5 because that is the only one I will be in need of.

Licensed games such as F1 2010 will get my purchase, and all other F1 games launching, but that's probably it. Unless I can't resist. Which is very likely. :dopey:

I'll enjoy everything I have. By the time GT5 comes out I will have DiRT 2 and Forza 3 and I doubt I'll put thoes down for good. I'll enjoy all the games I have but once I've got thoes three I don't think I'll be intereste in another game for a few months short of something really catching my eye.

I was toying with the idea of buying SHIFT but I don't see the point, it was SHIRT of DIRT 2 since Forza 3 was a defnite purches and decided DIRT 2 being a rally game will give me more variety.

I have Dirt 2 and SHIFT pre-ordered, on Dirt 2 we could race online. That is, until GT5 arrives.

Starting a thread like this one, even before GT5 is on the market at all, seems to me you are having dreams premature of even being realistic about what isnt here in the first place....if you dont know what i meen...sleep well..

spyrrari.

I think the content and quality of GT5 will be something no one has ever seen. I mean, only the NASCAR and WRC part together with realistic damage and multiplayer is more than enough to keep me busy for years.

Having that said, I think you can guess my vote...

I am definatly going to buy GT5 and no other accept the new F1 game on the basis of the handling not being like Grid. But it proberly will as they said it's going it use the 'Ego' engine.

Yes, same here, but I may buy other racing games here and there, especially licensed F1 ones.

Unless PD managed to snap the license off Codmasters and release an F1 pack as DLC!

Yes, but that would be about.....4 years. I think atleast one good racing game will come out be then.

I'm probably gonna have to buy more racing games, because every racing game out there will have a certain feature that attracts me, and I'm sure GT5 won't have it all.

Well im sure there will be plenty of other great driving games between the release of GT5 and GT6 wether it be on console or PC, it's silly to come to a conclusion about the future when you don't know what's round the corner. There could be some PC sim that blows GT5 out the water by the time GT6 is released, which mostly likely will be on PS4. DirectX 11 will kick PS3s ass so in the right hands who knows what driving games could be like on more capable hardware. I mean i much prefer the physics of Rfactor over GT5p anyway, at least the F1 car. GT5 is a showcase for graphics and makes a nice car encyclopedia(spelling?), but as far as physics are concerned PC sims are already ahead.

As much as I love GT, not buying any other racing game between now and then is pretty excessive. Granted, I'll be playing GT5 for a very long time but no game can sustain me for three to four years straight, which I assume is how long it will take to develop GT6.

Once GT5 is released I doubt I will buy another racing game if GT5 has excellent online features.

However beforehand and im in a right dilemma. Alot depends on the release date of GT5. If suppose its released on Dec 4th then this will only leave around 6 weeks of gameplay on FM3 which isn't enough time for me. We then have NFS shift and if GT5 does come out on Dec 4th then I may opt for NFS Shift.

All my future purchases between now and Dec are dictated by the GT5 release date. Im also trying to save for a Gameracer elite cockpit and if I give FM3, NFS shift, MW2 a miss thats nearly half towards my cockpit. Im thinking short term loss for long term gain because my Gameracer elite with G25 on GT5 is going to be pure gaming heaven!

Just shows the influence GT5 has and how knowing the release date completely changes my plans prior to release.

I will buy GT5, and will buy other racing between GT5 and GT6!! Like one person said, four to five years is a long time!

I'll buy other racing games for sure, I got bored with GT4 after about a year or so and only played it occasionally. Most games are that way for me. I'm sure GT5 will offer quite a bit of play time, but I doubt it will last 5 years or more.

Mod Nation Racers will be a definite buy for me, most of my 'racing time' will be spent on GT5 but I do like to mix up what I'm playing.

I'll get shift as soon as it is released so I can get a good play out of it before GT5 arrives. The same with DiRT 2.

I'll stick with GT5 as primary game till GT6 but i will still buy other racing games

You never know what's around the corner if a game comes along that I consider worthwhile I'll buy it. Simple as that.

GT6 is probably going to be at least 4 or 5 years after GT5 comes out, so no, not a chance I wont be buying any other racing games. rFactor 2 is on the horizon for next year and I'm sure simbin will come out with a few more games in the next couple of years too.

Shift and Dirt 2 are pre order for me with GT5 along them ill be pretty good till gt6. very curious about criterions NFS tho. so this way i have a bit of everything one more arcade focused one more offroad focused and one simulator racer wich will get most off my attention

As massive as GT5 may be (we have no actual confirmation on its size), there is always going to be a racing game that offers something GT can not.

Besides that, why did you even pre-order DiRT2 & SHIFT if you're just going to sell your racing games after GT5?
