How many of you will never buy another racing game again, when GT5 is out, until GT6?

I will probably put more time into GT5 than any other game, but it certainly wont be the only racing game I'll play. Currently I'm anticipating next years release of F1 2010 and Mod Nation Racers sounds pretty fun. I can see myself still doing some online racing in GTA4 as well.
 
If the Rally and F1 is really good in GT5 I think I might end up passing on Dirt and F1 2010
 
i dont think any game compares to gt5p at the moment, so if thats anything to go by GT5 will prove impossible to substitute. i am a g25 user, and love the way you can feel the car as you fly through the bends. The best experience for me so far. BRING oN gT5 :D

p.s ill stick with gt5 till gt6 proluge ;)
 
GT5 is going to be the ultimate driving game... I feel it in my bones.

But, DiRT 2 is going to have involvement with Ken Block, meaning you can do all the mad jumps and stuff like he does. It'll even have his Monster Engery Impreza :dopey:

So, I reckon DiRT 2 and GT5 are all I'll need on the PS3 :)
 
I compete in online events with Rfactor and GTR, so for me the GT-series is very good, but not the only one.

GT3 i completed several times, but never did with GT4.
 
i will buy and play other games, but still keep playing GT (once finished i will only playonline or endurance-events)...

Same here, I was thinking of editing it and adding another option, but you can't edit polls.

EDIT: I've seen posts aplenty on here saying that its a little bit extreme, but 1. it's racing games, not games in general, so of course I'll buy another game. And 2. like me, many will mainly stick to GT5 but buy other racing games/ or sell them when GT5 launches. So it's only extreme for people who choose that they will stick with GT5, it's not my fault I made an option for that, because the point of this thread is to actually find out how many will do that.

It belongs to what GT5 will offer and when GT6 will come.
If the sound is right, if theres a track editor (unlikely), if theres no game coming with specific cars i love that are not in GT5, if the rallying is great, if the tuning owns, if the damage is what i want, if it will have realtime weather and day/night effects, if.... i wouldnt need another racing game. But i seriously doubt that. ;)

It also belongs to the type of racing game too, GT could never replace a WipEout for me, or a Burnout.
 
I'll maybe buy SHIFT but I'll try it before. But anyway SHIFT will be released before GT5. I don't know if I will buy another racing game after GT5 even though that I bought a PS3 mainly for GT5. If something good comes out (on the PS3) I'll buy it. In the meantime, I hope that rockstar will make another Midnight Club.
 
Too early to tell for me really. It depends on how good the online side of GT5 is and also as said, how well the WRC cars handle. If the rally handling isn't perfect then I'll probably buy another rally game - Richard Burns Rally isn't getting any younger and I need my rally fix :)

Potentially yes, if they pull off a fantastic online mode and the rally cars handle as they should then the sheer scale of the game means that in theory I shouldn't need another driving game!
 
Extreme either/or polls like this are always treacherous, but this one isn't quite as much, at least for me. Prologue is so darn good that it makes my PC sims seem... plain, downright boring in comparison. I'll play them a bit, but the graphics are really atrocious, the physics and A.I. are only marginally better, and the lack of car variety leaves me cold. I just keep going back to Prologue for my racing fix.

Give me a game which is a quantum leap over Prologue, the real Gran Turismo 5, and if it has race mod and a livery editor, it's entirely possible I'll never look at another series again.
 
GT5 isnt the the bread and pudding of racing games to me. I will be buying Shift and Forza 3 as well as GT5 and any other racing game that I see interesting.
 
For the people that voted ---I'll stick with GT5 until GT6--- including myself..
80% chance that we will buy another game, but still return to GT5 as primary racing game.
 
ill be truly bored of GT5 before GT6 is released. I got bored of Prologue after 3 months and very rarely play it now.
 
I think PD mention that they would want at least a year to work with GT5 after it's realease so that they get a lot of DLC and wont work with GT6 until they give good DLC for GT5

Prologue is 1/10 th or less of full game. Livery editor said to be in, private rooms, all the goodies, not to mention single player goodness with 100000000 events! I do not think you get bored that quickly with 5 ; )

I will be bored within a year of GT5. Also I have no interest in online or Livery editor in GT5. Im more interested in offline career.

We got a few updates for prologue but in terms of content... we got 3 new cars.
There was suppose to be an update for Prologue which would incorporate damage but never happened. :(
 
Whatever GT5 is or isn't, its not going to be everything for everyone.

If another racer looks good or has a feature that I want that GT5 doesn't, I will absolute buy it after getting GT5.

Plus we've waited how long for GT5? Suffice it to say I'm not holding out for a new racer until GT6.

They promised to give us patches until the release of GT5 but when was the last patch released?
 
Thats the point I was originaly getting at. Think it was before christmas (november I think) that we had a patch last. Dont think thats supporting prologue until GT5 is released. So If its relying on DLC to get by until GT6 then I will definately be bored of GT5 well before GT6, Because they will promise DLC or patches until GT6 but wont deliver and stop support after a year or two if Prologue is anything to go by.

PS. It would be nice to get something new , one more track.
