Intercontinental GT500 Championship Season Two - Finished

for me are both series good.
In the corvette series is good.
that all drive with the same material.
Same setup all same.

The Corvette's do look nice, but my only problem with the Corvette's is that it lacks diversity. I wouldn't mind having everyone in the same car because it means that everyone is on an equal playing field, but I always like to see other cars around too :)

Yeah, I needed that three-week break after Monaco. I've found new motivation to play now

Good to have you back mate.

BTW
Removing the JGTC cars and limit the bhp for everyone to 502hp will even out the Lexus, it might need a turbo or it might not. I have to look into it a bit more.

The cars will not have the same top speed after this. But when you put handling together with speed, acceleration, braking, tyre wear it will in total make it even. So to test this you can't just go around the track once, you will have to go all out on the tyres. See whats last the longest, what goes fastest with tyre wear half way etc.

I did a lot of testing, read up on what other leagues are doing etc and heard what others said on this issue. Most successful and the easiest way to police is just to limit the room to 502 bhp. I actually found 493bhp to be better, but with our success ballast it will handicap just to much. If we drop 10kg off the ballast it would be better with 493bhp

I'm more than happy to do that. I have however encountered a problem with the Nurburgring GP/F weekend; it's Skyrim weekend  I've driven so many laps of GP/F that I should be fine though, Skyrim comes out on the Friday so I can spend the entire week practising to keep me occupied :)

I'll probably jump on tomorrow straight after the F1 Indian GP for some practice too :)

More importantly:

I GOT FASTEST LAP!

Seriously just made my week, amazingly I never had fastest lap last season :(

EDIT:

It's actually daylight savings today, so the clocks have gone backwards an hour. I don't know if it's the same for the rest of Europe but yeah, the race times should now be an hour later than usual? (which would keep it at the same time as it is now *timeception*)

I thought the end of the summer time would make it one hour earlier (on the clock) as we started the races 20:00 GMT = 21:00 BST and 22:00 CEST, with summer time away it would be 20:00 GMT, and 21:00 CET :)

i know about the finish with netherdragon & knew he would get the 4th spot IF you would of hitted the wall i def would of take responsibility & sit @ 5th place.. wanted to have a litle laugh there

i don't know what you're talking about but i've slept one hour more this night :sly:
As for the power limits at 502 and 493 bhp, i guess my Z won't have a chance against its opponents, and i'm not willing to change car :mischievous:

Well the Z and the Supra do belong in the museum to be honest, they are consider to be replaced. The Z by the GT-R and the Toyota was replaced by Lexus.
Today we have three 2008 Lexus cars that are parked because they are underpowered because we have to consider two outdated cars witch do not (in the real world) follow the same rules as the newer cars.

I say remove all the cars older than 2008, except the NSX as it only have the EPSON witch is 2008. And if PD decide to give us the HSV-010 SuperGT car we could replace those old Honda cars too.

And I really can't see why you would like to keep that tyre wearing car.

now we're talking about next season, i suggest making the calendar 20-25 races long...

Anastasis, seriously?? We'd have to drop about 5 in that case.
If we don't want to use SuperGT we could go for the dlc touring cars, everybody in the same car and change the car each week.
Oh and sorry Falcon I was just a bit annoyed, that was probably the only time you lagged at all in the first few minutes and it ****ed me right up the backside. You can find some tips on the net about making the most of your connection, that may help a bit.

1.Laguna

20.SSR 5
21.Nurb 24hr
22.Sarthe

Tsukuba ,Autumn ring, Eiger and London are a bit too small for such races but can be added :D

I'm happy with adding some extra races, but some of those tracks just aren't viable and 20 races is faaaar too many

I've checked the replay and on my screen it looks like both of you have some lag, a bit strange two of you lag at the same time. Worst lag on Falcon, but there are some not natural movement in the blue Calsonic too.

I do think after 2.01 the quality of the room is pretty good, we had no one had to reconnect, no one was ghosting and every thing except this lag accident worked very well.

The lag happening could have been caused by several things like someone else using the internet in your house. Or it could have been a small ping out from one of your ISP's And like adam said, you could tweak your ps3 to get the most of the internet you do have. Wireless is one thing to avoid, I know wireless can get just as good internet speed as wired internet, but it will not be as stable as a wired connection. Its radio signals and that is actually sound waves and those can be disturbed by anything working close to the same frequency, a cell phone, a microwave, other wireless netverks etc etc.

A small latency issue isn't going to be noticed browsing GTPlanet, facebook or even downloading torrents, but when gaming. A totally different story :)

How about starting another championship beside this one.

Intercontinental GT500 Championship
And
Intercontinental RM/TC/Roadcars Championship

So how did I plan this to work, most people here like the time we do race. But instead of racing every week in one championship we could make it every 14 days.
So the first week we do SuperGT, the next week we do RM/TC/Roadcars and the week after that we go back to SuperGT and so on.
This way we got more changes into this and not getting so fast bored of it

We will have to keep it separated, so people don't want to race both don't get a disadvantage. I guess the guys already here will want to race both, but having in mind we might get others to join.

We then could actually make the season shorter, with less tracks. Real SuperGT championship are run over the small amount of 8 races, not 25 :P
But lets say we keep 10 races, we will have 20 weeks to do it in. because we will have 10 races in the other championship as well.

Then we could remove races like La Sarthe and Nurburgring from the SuperGT series and add them to the other series. Both of those tracks have been with us two times and both times they have been nothing else than a long time trail. Not much actual racing. I would like to add smaller tracks to actually get more head to head racing.
Cape Ring Soth, Deep Forrest, Trial Mountain and bring back SSR5 :)

And anastasis, London cant be added.. if you can find the pit we could add it :)

Don't take it pesonally... but i HATE your idea 👎
and london isn't on the ideal calendar ;)

:idea:the best suggestion for next season is to collect each one of you 15 euros and give it to me to buy DFGT:dunce:

No can do Anastasis I'm getting a DFGT for christmas so all my money is towards my own, and beer, lots and lots of beer.
BTW the top gear test track has no pits either, and considering you said Indy road is your worst circuit I'm surprised it appears on your "ideal calendar".... twice.

I would like to participate in both of your ideas Erik. GT500 and TC events, nice competition will be every week.

I also prefer one championship Maxitsu, but some people here started talking about doing something else than GT500, I love GT500 so I suggested something that maybe could be the answer to it. We cant always think of one person.. our self..

Also someone here is pretty occupied with school, would be much easier to have a full grid every 14 days if they choose to compete in only one of the championship.

I do have a wire but at monaco I was worried it was causing an issue like Laguna did, so I couldn't risk going onto the wire after that.

Final results:

Penalties:

zzxxz: 10 Seconds penalty for causing Maxitsu to spin on the long straight on lap 40
ProPersian: 10 Seconds for doing more defensive moves than the one move rule, also making Netherdragon crash into the pit wall.

Scoreboard:
1st IMMORTALPILOT
2nd ErikAndre71
3rd C-Falcon89
4th Netherdragon
5th GP-CiaN
6th ProPersian
7th Arkano6
8th Anastasis14
9th zzxxz
10th Maxitsu

Success ballast for Gran Valley Speedway

IMMORTALPILOT 80kg
C-Falcon 40kg
ErikAndre71 30kg
GP-CiaN 30kg
zzxxz 10kg

I will update OP as soon as I get the graphics from Kyaw :)

EDIT:
Pole: ImmortalPilot
Fastest Lap: Arkano6
