Yup! Clubsports are a very solid piece of hardware! Definitely an advantage to have them on your rig! My lap times and more important my consistency improved a lot!

Legendary
Now if only it was easier to get that kind of feel out of my G27 pedals :/.

you can but it costs some.
i think that you will eventually come very close to the price of CSP's if you mod your g25 pedals.

and its just not the loadcell but the throw of every pedal together with twice the resolution just puts them inanother league in that price range.

very good bang for the buck imo.

Do the pedals have to be connected to the computer for PC, or can they be connected to the wheel and still work?

The reason I ask this is I just inverted my pedals and the way they're mounted I'd have to unskrew the foot tray, and I'td be a little of a hassle to put back. I'm thinking of a three month subscription for Christmas.

Well, what steering wheel do you have?

Okay I had no idea this could happen. Yesterday I drove on my Qualification perfectly clean, no incidents. Only one other guy was in my session and he left early after hitting his goal time. So I ended up getting +46 SR :sly:

Looks like I'll be getting promoted quite easily to Class C at the end of the season at this point (Hello Riley Prototype and Daytona Speedway). Since I have some SR to blow I entered another race in the Skippy at New Hampshire. I did much better this time and actually walked away with positive SR.

However! I still got plowed into.Keep in mind my iRating is quite low (1057) so I am guessing I get put in with the bottom split. This is actually quite perfect since I do wish to matched up with others around my skill level. But it is unfortunate I get tackled so much. I made sure to re-read the iRacing virtual academy's directions on "Overtaking and Being Overtaken" right before my race. I even try to help my fellow Skippy driver's if they seem uncertain and tell them I am giving them the line, etc. But this guy was very polite and apologized for taking me out. Man I barely struggled to get my Skippy into the pits (didn't want to wait on a Tow)

In spite of all this I had an awesome time. Great devs and awesome setup. Still think the prices for cars & tracks could come down a little but now I see it's possible for someone to hit Class A I believe if they wanted w/o spending very much money. It seems like even tho I am not highly skilled I can earn enough points to hit the next rank with ease by driving clean. I just gotta increase speed some more at this point!

WTG! I'm shooting for C Class, too! I may go for short track if time allows. I think the next date for promotions/demotions takes place in October? I need to to check the iRacing calendar.

IIUC, for the SR I think iRacing gives you a little "boost" So when you get past 2.0 it tacks on +0.3 or sumfink. This way, you won't slide back down <2.0 so quickly. I'm sure someone more of an expert on the license system can give a better and more detailed info.

I'm not an expert but i've heard it just moves you up to 2.4 or something. I can't remember since i'm A and haven't moved up for probably a year. But moving down I think is below 1.0

Yup it adds .4 to it as well as what you earnt. So when I promoted to C the other day I went to 4.46 (C 3.46) because I had earnt .08 myself. So I went from 3.98 D to 4.46 D (C 3.46).

Keep winning or do good in races. That will give you points and if you better then anyone else on your division you will soon find yourself in a higher division :)

You can check how many points you get for every race in the race results.

Haha wow extremely quick replies, cheers guys. Yer ive been doing good but still in rookie for all leagues. My current road irating is 2122. Think this is decent. Anyway thanks for replies and I'll just keep trying to move up I guess.

Thanks for the link shinny, just finished reading it and it makes a bit more sence.

Pretty good considering mine is only 1701. But, now that I am able to run the Acura again. I bet it will go up because I average a second place finish in it. The car just suits my driving style so much. I'm able to run with some of the "aliens"

Guys I've been looking to getting iracing for a long while now, and finally have the monster pc to run it and no longer let my hardware be an excuse to only hotlap. Only thing is I'm not sure I'm good enough to be competitive (my racecraft needs a lot of work, and I'm definitely no alien) and don't want to buy a full year for something I may not end up using. I've also been really, really happy with Netkar's physics, but have a recent itch to get better at racing others online, and there just aren't enough people on it and finding a decent jump-in race is a pain.

Can I buy a one month test drive promo sub using one email address, and then buy another new member promo for a year on a different email if I like it (using the same paypal address)?

I understand any irating points etc won't be carried over, I'm cool with that, just want to test it out with low risk, but still have the option to get the $49 12 month promo sub. I'm just fearing that the paypal account will lock me into one account.

Um, I don't completely understand what you are asking for. But anything that you buy will not be transferred. So yes you could do it that way. I just wouldn't purchase anything until you've gotten your normal account.

Bascially what I was asking was if it was possible to sign up to two different new member promos using the same payment account. Yeah I get that nothing would be transfered over. Thanks.

I think you would have to use two different Credit Cards. But I'm not really sure.

Hey guys iRacing doesn't have a Speed Sensitivity option like rFactor, etc right? The reason why I ask is because I'm really starting to wonder how could I be much slower than everyone else... Even in those rookie Mazda cars my times are not close to average really. I'm like 4s beyond everyone else.

Trippy thing is when I put in my console racers I am doing pretty well making podium finishes. Granted in those you can use ABS, etc and the physics are probably much more noob friendly

@Dijital Majik, too bad bout netkar pro's small online community. It looks like a great game I'm planning on buying it eventually

AFAIK, it only locks the email address, not the payment method (especially if you use PayPal). You can still use the $49 league sign up, as it's not a promo, just a reduced payment option. The only advice I can suggest is give it a try. If iRacing will allow you to use the league code on your current email address, then go for it, otherwise use a new email address. But as long as you use PayPal, then payment details are not locked.

What would be the point of doing that? It seems to me you don´t want to buy a year but a few lines down you will buy a year.

So why not use the same account, buy a month then instantly buy a year afterwards? The end result will be exactly the same.

I doubt you'll have any problem with being competitive as the skill levels in iRacing vary from useless to brilliant. I find I'm several seconds a lap off the fastest times (road IR at 1500 which is about in the middle) but still have loads of fun on iRacing.

From what he's saying it seems the yearly subscription for $49 is for new members only, so if he'd just renew it he would pay full price. That's why he wants to create different accounts.
