I threw this together out of boredom.. World War 2 fighter plane inspired, sort of.. figured out how to get trading paints working I think, just upload the TGA file and thats it?

I've always wanted to replicate a fighter's paint scheme, but Robin Olds had invasion stripes on his P-38 not his P-51. But yours mac is pretty awesome, and more an original than a replica.

Kind of just WW2 fighter plane inspired, not after a specific plane or squadron. Made this today for my new DP, trying to look like the Porsche 917 from Steve Mcqueen's "Le Mans", the stripes are a bit off and the front Gulf logo is a bit off centre, but thats a simple fix. Thoughts? Also took my last name and Steve's last name and stuck them on the roof as kind of a personal touch.

^Hot damnSo how do I update trading paints? I uploaded my schemes, etc.. This is all still a bit new to me if it isn't obvious..
when you open up the TP desktop, click options and check each box you want checked in the "program settings" and "Subscriptions" tabs, pretty straight forward, it'll make sense when you open up the options tab if it doesn't make sense now

Making smooth curves for stripes and stuff has always been my biggest hurdle. How do you guys do it? I use Photoshop CS5 and can never get curvy lines to be that smooth.

^ seriously I have to use MS Word to make arcs then copy and past into PSE (just read that two days ago on the PS elements forum, elements village or something like that). But in CS5 it's the pen tool

Always been my biggest struggle too.
Messed around with aliasing etc but I'd love to know how others do it.
By the way Jav, that looks awesome so far.

Use Pen Tool guys, and when creating a selection from the path you created you can choose to use anti aliasing. Do so with 0 pixels resolution and you be fine

So I was having problems painting the Skippy and gave up on it.
Now I try again, and look at other peoples paints, and they seem to have a different layout to mine.
