You must have misread the post I was replying to.
The poster said that PD promised bi-monthly updates for GT5 and that it didn't happen. He didn't specify whether he imagined they'd be bug-fixes or content updates.
I pointed out that the frequency of GT5's updates (regardless of content) was greater than bi-monthly.

The timeline is stated very loosely, regardless, DLC for GT5 did not come every two months.

I was really looking forward to “at least one additional track per month will be downloadable.” Almost 3 months now and ZERO new tracks. Still don't have any course creator either.
I'm getting real close to saying I'll never buy another Gran Tursimo game as well. It's one thing to miss a deadline once in a while but what they've done this time is just flat out fraud.

I might buy GT7 used, but I won't help pad their sales numbers buying new, and I will not be duped into preordering the game again (unless they offer the full line of RUF's as an exclusive preorder bonus, then my hypocrisy will know no bounds
).

People do realize that there is still about 1 week left in the Month of February right? So PD is not late until it turns 1 March. I am really looking forward to this next update, with the huge new track and a possible new feature being added. We just have to be patient.

Well, to be fair, PD has released something new very thing month.
In December we got the Mercedes VGT and part one of Red Bull. In January we got the rest of the Red Bull events and a racer version of the Mercedes VGT. Yes, they weren't on time, but at least they did it. I have complete hope they'll release something this month.

You make it sound like they've never been late before. And if they are late people will just say "Technically they could have meant march 2015"

The only reason I entered GT Academy last year was because it was a free GT6 demo. The year before that was because they were giving away cars at a time when I still had a mild interest in GT5, one of which being a car that was ordinarily DLC. The year before that I didn't enter it. The year before that was because it was a free GT5 demo.
Though, certainly, downloading something they offer for free maintains that direct correlation to buying something.

Everything else? Way late, arguably vapor ware! Bug fixes and marketing widgets are not what anyone expected when PD stated a regulate cadence for updates...
Some might find that track a stop gap, and PD likely does too, but for those that have stopped to even bother logging in for the credits bonus due to the anemic feature set, and lack of online (where people go after offline) functionality, GT 6 has lost its legs... It needs a refresh for re engagement.

I think the majority of these threats are not empty, as you say. PD, once again, promise a lot and fail to deliver. Players are 100% right in getting mad about that if you ask me.
"oh oh but we got a new VGT in January" - NO we didn't, guys. Slightly changing an already existing car is extremely far from 'new'.
I'm not buying any new Gran Turismo or for that matter anything from PoDi ever again if GT6 doesn't have all the promised features by January 2015.
Same. This game desperately needs new content. And if the players don't see any progress towards fulfilling some of Kaz's promises, PD's bound to lose lots and lots of their fanbase.

I've been taking the career nice and easy(slow)and looking at my favoourite polarized/chromed cars in gallery view,beautiful.

Ideally 1.05 would contain most of the missing features - that's a perfectly normal thing to expect almost 3 months after release.
That most likely wont happen and amount of people giving a damn will fall even more. New track is cool but without features it means nothing to me.
Cruising and setting lap times - that's all you can do..
I want to race with capable AI and I want robust online with rankings for each track - that's basic stuff you'd expect from a game released in Dec. 2013.
As it is now they can add 100 more cars and 20 more tracks - wouldn't change anything gameplay wise.
