Thanks for the words on the Reports guys. Would have liked to have put a little more effort in but was concious I needed to get results out.

Can't wait for the the Double Sprint Shootouts at Daytona and Indy next week. Although I'm not on tonight if any UK or US schedule drivers want to practice any course when I'm on then my Lobby will always be open for Testing (unless of course testing either NASCAR or TOCA).

Was hoping to see more of the UK drivers last night - Tom Brooks and Bash were noticable as not there.

Learnt a lot about my car last night (now I have my racing seat), can't wait to get in the car again. 👍

I can see this Season being a success and that further seasons will follow.

I know that Tom is in Spain for the week (hence his absence) and I've been chatting to him quite a lot, he's almost definitely going to stay with us 👍 Not sure about Bashman, I sent him a PM which he read so he must have just not been able to make the time. And finally GTP_J_Turner hasn't read any of my PM's but I've seen him posting in his DTM thread

Spec 2 has altered my Indy setup quite noticeably, I now run better laps with the default settings than my old tune  And second that Knelly, let's hope this takes off.

EDIT: Oh and 'Chqr' hasn't been online for a week, he's hardly a new member though, 400 posts. I'm assuming, more hoping actually, he's on holiday or something.

EDIT 2: Looked at some posts and it turns out Chqr went to Talladega last weekend, hell of a lucky guy! I assume that's why he didn't make it.

I seem to have a habit of forgetting to save replays. Guess I won't be uploading any pictures of the race for us.

There's always next week :sly:

I'd have liked to have pictures for a road course as well as the ovals next week, but I guess oval pictures will do. Maybe Knelly will take some pictures from the Spa race since he saved the replay. >_>

If the Spa race was an actual race, I would've picked up the maximum 53 points. :)

I can take some pics but no idea how to get them on GTP. Have tried a phew times. Can save an get them over to PC but that's the best of my knowledge.

Can put them in faves too.

If they're on your computer, you just need to upload them to a photo sharing site (Flickr, Photobucket etc.) open the image in it's own tab, take the URL and put it on GTP. I'm pretty sure this is the easiest way, it's what I did for the images on the OP 👍

Just set them to online if it's easier, I'll grab them at some point. I assume you'd have taken more than the amount it allows you to set to online, so if this is the case I'll let you know when I've gotten the ones that are currently online so that you can change them for more. (I think it only allows something like 6 or 8 to be set to online if I remember right)

Haven't taken any yet mate but will tonight if I can. Tell me any particular shots you want and I'll see what I can do.

Let's see...the first corner of the race, the straight after Eau Rouge/Raidillon and the chicane after it, again on the first lap, and then I guess any overtaking moves or spins etc.

Can't wait to see some pics from the other night 👍 And you might not see me on GT5 much until Wednesday as Battlefield 3 just arrived :D

Hey guys, brought my PS3 over to my friends house to download the updates and accept friend requests. Still have no idea when I'll be connected at my house... hoping it will be sooner rather than later. I hate to do this, but I may have to appoint someone to be in charge of the US series until I can get my situation figured out if I can't get connected before the season is supposed to start.

I sincerely apologize for the problems, when this was first taking shape I was living in New York with a stable internet service, and since then I have moved back to Iowa and the house I'm currently at is out in the country where the main ISP's don't provide service.

I may not have the Spa pre-season race replay, but I do have a replay from a 3 lap practice race that I did with Knelly and Tom at Spa. I'll try and get some pictures from that up soon. It was a mostly uneventful practice race, so I only ended up taking 6 pictures from it.

Who's who below: Joe = blue FGT. Knelly = silver and black FGT. Tom = green, white and red FGT.

Joe makes the best of his bad standing start from the front, and sneaks past Knelly and Tom on the inside as they fight in the first corner.

Joe navigates the chicane at Les Combes, while Tom and Knelly battle behind, with Knelly beginning to lose the back end of his car.

Following on from the previous image, Knelly's car drifts into Tom's rear as he fights the rear end, sending them both spinning.

This marks the end of the main action on the first lap (3 lap race).

More action at Les Combes on the second lap. Tom puts a wheel on the dirt coming out of the right hander and fishtails his way down the straight, somehow holding it together and not spinning. In the background you can see Knelly off in the gravel (next image shows this clearer).

Knelly sliding sideways through the gravel coming out of Les Combes.

This marks the end of the main action for lap 2.

Joe brakes too late for the first corner at the beginning of the final lap, and ends up drifting around the entire corner.

This was the only real action on the final lap, other than Knelly running a little wide coming out of the final chicane.

As far as I remember I was on your tail for about half a lap and then you just disappeared  Think me and Knelly both had a bit of a spin on the last lap but that was it.

That was our other 3 lap race, which I didn't save. I added the images to my previous post (I forgot to refresh the page, so I only just noticed that you posted).

Those are some pretty nice pics there mate, good job 👍 It was fun anyway, as were the NASCAR's.

EDIT: And as much as I love my Earnhardt Jr. racing suit, that helmet looks dull. *Rummages through DLC gear pack*

Some team mate :sly:

Some team mate :sly:

Yep, I have a near-flawless race, complete with a drift for the crowd, while you "accidentally" drift into the competition. :sly:

EDIT: I may not be able to make the NASCAR race on saturday, as well as the 500 on the 5th.

Tom, I'll be there.

Joe, you better be there so you can see my donuts after winning.

I'm quite a modest person but that save at Les Combes was absolutely textbook :sly:

Although I doubt that's the preferred line through the corner....

EDIT: Okay Knelly, I'll take my #11 Fed Ex then. Let's hope our other 'team mates' turn up.

Send me your settings if you want and I'll guise you in the right direction if need be.

I'm not much of a whiz when it's comes to tuning Nascar's so I just copied some tunes from The Oval Tunery with a few minor tweaks here and there. For Daytona I used the 'Endurance' setting, which may need tweaking after 2.0, but I did use it in our little race and it felt ok. Haven't done any tyre wear tests yet though.

Jimmie Johnson's 2010 suit is looking fine :)

I'll have to check it out in game :)

Oh and Knelly, I won't have my wired connection up by Wednesday as we're having to drill through a wall  So I'll probably join your lounge a bit earlier just to see if I can go 5 minutes without disconnecting.

If anybody cares, I'm holding a practice session for the Daytona/Indy Shootout at room 1472-6118-4259-7710-8835.
