Can't think of anything else mate, especially at short notice.

Gutted for you, but you may have to miss this as we have 9 in right now.

Will need to sort before next week though.

Can't think what else to do

EDIT : Still 20 mins till Race 1

I'm unbelievably pissed off. If a wired connection doesn't solve these problems I have no idea what i'll do.

why did you all delete me and if u think im lieing about that crash look at lap 17 and 2nd corner its clear what happends

Nat isn't the problem gofast but nice idea anyway. I removed security and got my wireless working again, hopefully my cable will improve things 👍 i'm sorry guys, it's pathetic that the organizer can't even get in but there's nothing I could do, Nat is 2, bandwith high, clear cache and reset router.

It seems me and Knelly are just completely incompatible for some reason.

EDIT: any ideas for what we/i can do if we remain incompatible? Different lounge?

Oh and PM me the results when you're finished mate.

I had a load of incompatibility errors too, managed to get through the Daytona race, but didn't finish the race I was most looking forward to.

I don't know what causes these Joe, it's definitely not mine or Knellys connections as they're both good.

Ah okay 👍

EDIT: Stop me if this sounds a bit selfish Knelly, but since me and Joe are both having incompatibility problems in your lounge, we could possibly try another lounge for the UK races?

The US races could still be held there though.

Thats a good spec racing setup.

Since version 2.0 there's generally been more online issues with frame rate slow down. I wonder if thats related to connection issues. Something is not right with the new 2.01. 2.02 will have to address that.

I'll use my muscle cars as the pace vehicles if we can get a US series going. Only 8 people in that race and 2 had bad connections...... I may recommend endless wilso & tool4sno as potential players in the series, tool4sno has some experience with non Ferrari F1, FGT races.

The US series is full mate, you'll be pace car for that. I was just wondering if you could make the UK series time, so you can still compete for points :)

And I agree, there've been a lot of online issues that need to be solved.

Generally Fixed, Lobby races seem to cope better with connection problems. Just need a reliable and fast host with a central location. Your connection was fine on race 2 tonight though knelly. Also, the mics bring down bandwidth but i think they are very much needed for this series with the caution laps and stuff.

On that, i think that only the pace/safety car should be allowed to talk during the races as i found it difficult to hear what was going on, during the incedents we had, tonight. Didnt really know what to do and when to do it..

Yeah mics are neccesary, shame mine is faulty. I know that Knelly has a good connection which is why I put his room down for the US races, but maybe swapping his room for mine (for the UK) will solve our incompatibility issues. By next week I will have a wired NAT 2 connection with high bandwith and all PS3 ports opened, should be good enough 👍

Guys if you having trouble, get the participant with the best connections, which appears to be Knelly, to host it in the public lobbies.👍

I don't think that makes a difference when it comes to incompatibility, you just get loads of random people turning up to the race

Who will just get kicked.

We will try that over the next few days though, thanks for the tip Akmuq 👍

If the USA series is full that should make for some busy races (lots of cautions). I didnt know there were that many signed up. :)

You can put me as a reserve for the UK series, I may do one or two or three. :) I count 8 on the UK sign up list. So if you need another I may moon light.

Its just too complicated to race so many different handling types (the FGT series with skid recovery & full power on race softs, the Ferrari F1 cars, the Red Bull X2011 races I do). Too much adjusting with different playing styles.

Okay Rich, will put you down as one 👍 i'll test out some different lounge options with you Knelly.

Yeah, I second this. I also would like the pace car to type CAUTION or something to that effect to make it official in case the pace car mic is not heard.

Just my two cents about the mic's. I usually enter the room with the mic on, say hello, and soon afterwords turn the mic off. As long as the officials and the host have mic's I can usually tell what is going on. If I need to ask a question I turn the mic back on. If bandwidth in a full room is a problem then the majority of the people with mic's off might help. During one at a time qualifying all mics on might be best.

Edit: I'm looking forward to Knelly's race report which I thought was a really good idea.

Mic's off is a good idea during the race IMHO

At the pre season I was trying to relay important instructions to the drivers but people were talking about random stuff!
I dont mind typing caution after a crash although my car is really slow so I feel I have to get out right away.

Thanks again guys, for your commitment to show up and race. I know that Daytona was a bit of a caution-fest but Indy was much much better.

Leonardo, appreciate you turning up and trying to race mate, but as you know, you lag was some of the worst I have witnessed. Therefore, I am sure you understand if I say that unless you can get it fixed, then it is more of a hinderence than a benefit to having an extra driver on the schedule. I do hope you sort it though, and let us know if you do.

I spoke with Rapidz yesterday after the race and he appreciates and agrees that there is a bit of a difference in driving skill etc. Therefore, Rapidz has decided not to partake in the season. Hope you bring those skills up though mate, ready for season 2. You are always welcome to any free practice.

Tom, whatever gets the most people in, I am happy with. Especially as this is mainly your series, it seems ridiculous that you can't race. We'll sort it this week.

Thats a good spec racing setup.

Thanks mate, it was a combined effort of LV, Joe, Tom and myself to get there.

Your connection was fine on race 2 tonight though knelly.

Thanks JT, is was actually fine for both, but it was Leonardo's own that was the issue.

Completely agree with mic talk. Thanks for the tip.

That's probably why you seem super fast mate.

Yep, agree mate.

Edit: I'm looking forward to Knelly's race report which I thought was a really good idea.

Next post 👍

Cheers buddy, I'm putting my wired cable in tomorrow, just gotta drill the wall through. I should be able to test out my lounge with you tomorrow night, if not it'll have to be sunday as I'm at the rugby at Wembley all Saturday :D

I hope we can iron these issues out, I'm keeping everybody informed via PM so I know who is still active etc. 👍

EDIT: Also, I'm Pm'ing you with something you might be interested in, want your opinion on it mate. And unless I get the results in like the next 15 minutes I'll have to do them tomorrow night instead but that's no big deal :)

I will make some tests throughout the week and come with a final answer before Madrid's race.

If there is something I do not aim to be is a funkiller. So, unless I get it sorted out, I will refrain myself from racing.

Regards,

👍 Well guys, good races last night. Had a good number of participants, and thank you all for easily adhering to the settings, especially the Transmissions which I was afraid may be taken advantage of.

DAYTONA 20+1 (More Cautions Than Racing)

Grid after Qualifying, and a Restart
JoeOfTheFire (Joe)
Chqr (Chqr)
Gofast2006 (Gof)
i_RaPidZx_i (Rapid)
dds-Leonardo (Leo)
JT977 (JT)
mustardaddict (Djion)
JPotak (JP)
Knelly (Knelly)

During Pace Lap Knelly got tagged immediately by JP to receive engine damage (no ones fault really), front right suspension damage to JP. Start is quite good but I am left out to dry as can't get into 7th gear at all.

Lap 2

While Gof and Djion battle for the lead of the pack, with Joe right behind, JP and Leo come together hard causing all kinds of damage, but only a single spin (JP) so race resumes. JP then appears to rage quit and leave the room.

Knelly pits at end of Lap 2 (mistake, should have waited for caution to come).

Lap 3

Next few laps see Djion and Gof leading double file, with Rapid trying every which way to squeeze past or through them, including trying to keep it above the yellow line.

Lap 5

Very good pack racing until Gof gets into the wall in T3/4 due to (it seems) Rapid cutting him up in the high line, causing engine damage. Second single car spin.

Lap 6

Rapid loses it coming out of T2, getting into at least Joe and JT, bringing out first caution.

Pit lane opens and in come Chqr, Joe, Rapid, Gof (already pitted early). Rest stay out.

All back together and Safety Car pits, starting on Lap 10.
Djion, Leo, JT, Chqr, Joe, Rapid, Gof, Knelly

Leo's lagging immediately gets into Chqr and caused next Caution with multiple cars involved.

Pit Lane opens and in come Leo (early), Joe, Rapid, Chqr, Knelly. Rest stay out.

All back together and Safety Car pits, starting on Lap 14.
Djion, JT, Joe, Chqr, Rapid, Leo, Gof, Knelly

Caution car out after Rapid takes out Chr coming out of T2 (again). Rapid slides down off the high line into the rear of Joe in the low groove, spinning and catching Chqr. Unfortunately Rapid it was your fault in lack of car control on the high line.

Pit Lane opens and in come Joe, Rapid, Chqr, Knelly.

All back together and Safety Car pits, starting on Lap 17. (Got these cautions down now )
Djion, JT, Leo, Joe, Rapid, Chqr, Gof, Knelly

Lap 17 (please watch it back Rapid if you have it saved), Rapid coming into 3 comes down from the high line straight into the side of Chqr, bring out Pit Car.

Rapid and Knelly get a Wave Around

Joe and Chq pit.

All back together and Safety Car pits, starting on Lap 21, and all a bit shambolic.

Gof, Djion, Leo, Joe, JT, Knelly, Rapid, Chqr

Leo causes a multi car spin due to lag at T2 Final Lap, Leaving Gof, Djion, Knelly (who was a Lap down the entire race till last caution) and JT to battle it out.

Final Standings:
Gof (22m 56.xxx s)
Djion (+00.033)
Knelly(+04.609)
JT (+07.993)
Joe (+14.990)
Leo (+24.134)
Chqr (+57.195) (Fastest Lap 42.761)
Rapid(+1:29.789)

Good Race Guys, at least we got to test cautions. Unfortunately all Cautions appeared to be caused by two drivers, who have been spoken to as you know.

👍 👍 👍

Indianapolis 20+1 Laps

Positions after Qualifying:
Djion
Cog
Knelly
Chqr
Joe
JT

Going into Lap 3 top four break away from Chqr and JT.

Lap 4 - Chqr catches back up but Joe loses connection.

Going into Lap 5 Knelly and Djion break away (with Knelly leading the lap). Gof and Chqr fighting for 3rd n 4th, with JT further back.

The battles resume back and fourth (Knelly and Djion fighting with Djion not moving off the inside line making it very difficult to pass and keep) till Lap 8. Knelly passed clear on the outside, but as he moved down his rear left touched Djion front right. Knelly was blinded and maybe should have kept his line, but Djion should have backed off knowing he was coming down. 50 / 50.

The two car battling (times 2) going on was so much faster than single car JT who was constantly losing ground.

SO, Djion spins and pits Lap 10.

Knelly leading on own and keeping the gap from Gof and Chqr battling hard, feels guilty and as only a practice race calls Caution Out on Lap 10.

Djion gets the wave around but still a lap down.

Restart Lap 13, Knelly, Gof, Chqr, JT, Djion (lap down) - Nice close pack for restart.

Everyone but JT gets a run and passes Knelly before Lap end.

Lap 14, JT gets into Knelly a few times (for which he apologises after race 👍 ) and spins out.

Chqr now alone using Djion who is a Lap down.

Gof and Knelly battling for second.

Lap 15, JT (early), Knelly and Gof all pit to fix damage. That moves Djion into second fighting with Chqr but a lap down to him.

Chqr going into 19
Djion going into 18
Knelly going into 18 (half a lap down to Djion)
Gof going into 18 (same)
JT going into 18 (3/4 lap down to Djion)
Berty - Sitting patiently

Final Positons
Chqr 15:54.394 (Fastest Lap 0:39.647)
Djion (+40.077)
Knelly (+1:03.375)
Gof (+1:06.822
JT (+1:11.454)
Berty (-17 Laps)

Excellent excellent racing guys. Only time Caution came out was when I called it, but it wasn't needed.

Massive contrast to Daytona.

Great watch back of replay.

Pics are in my faves online if you want to check them out.

No I didnt ragequit, I told my dad that I would mow the lawn after I finish the race and if I crashed early and was out and would just be making laps I would leave, so I did. Sorry bout that
