If you ask me, best sound car in the game
There is no reason to not buy it, Light and powerfull, I say...

Run to the dealer šŸ˜
I did pick one up, along with the Alfa TZ. Havenā€™t driven either one yet. Itā€™s sad that the Alfa is classified as a race car, which mean there really isnā€™t a place to race it. It would be a great 500pp car, but itā€™s not eligible for any of them. ā˜¹ļø

I could buy the McLaren F1, but I'll be poor as a church rat if I do. So, I'll look later again. I'm not looking forward to have 56K credits left after purchase and miss out on the MP 4/4 when it hits the shop. šŸ˜‚
Im kinda bored waiting for the Pennzoil GT500, i have 15 mio. credits, so i could buy it, too. But i will get at least two of the GT500 as soon as it becomes available, and it will cost 2.7 mio. at least for each car. I dont want to get broke. The Mclaren is just a bit too expensive.

Having driven the '95 McLaren in the qualifying laps for the Daily Races, I'm not too impressed with it. I have no problem letting it go. Plus I just got a Ferrari invitation so I need to save up a couple more million to buy those 3 cars.

The 2 cars I'm waiting for out of the LCD are the Escudo and the Alfa 155.

Will the 787B or R92CP cars again appear here? My bad as I didn't buy the 787B car from here as it was available here couple of weeks back.

I need to complete Menu 43 for which one of the 2 cars mentioned above would be ideal. I hope I can get a chance to buy them again.
Man the 787B is just so dominant in 800PP races. I tune it for 799PP on IM tires ā€” itā€™s only slightly faster than the other cars, but the fuel lasts forever, so you can do much fewer pit stops. Plus always running on IMs means you never have to worry about getting caught in the rain. Another huge advantage over the AI. I generally finish a lap ahead of everyone on any 800PP race.

You just do it sometimes.

I did a bit of grinding and could buy the McLaren F1 GTR fairly comfortable, but still too stingy spending the credits. I might pull the trigger on it when it goes on Limited Stock. It helps that it's the only decent car I could use for Menu Book 43, for which I have nothing in the garage to get wins with. Sitting on 17mln credits now. There are 4 cars on Limited Stock at the moment, meaning we'll see 4 new additions in a few days. I don't wanna risk missing the McLaren MP 4/4, because I got that F1 GTR, just for the menu book.
Choices, choices....

I'm even stuck on Menu 43. I used the McLaren F1 GTR at Fuji but the issue is this car is really thirsty for fuel. If the FM is lowered then it's not easy to make ground.

I found the '97 McLaren better than the '95 in every way.

I very much don't like either McLaren. Compared to literally any other Gr3 car it's worse in every way (I'm talking about when you apply some PP balance here and tune everything to 730 like it should be).

Would anyone bother spending $13m on the Mercedes real vintage car? Will that even serve any purpose?
To be honest, I was tempted to buy it. The only purpose it serves is to be able to take it around a track for leisure rides and nice pics, but the thing that holds me back is that your driver character always wears his race suit and helmet, which would look silly in that car. So, I don't think I'll be spending the credits on it, unless I've got nothing else to spend them on.

I'm buying it tonight. Well, purpose depends on who you ask, I guess. I don't see myself using it that often but I was going to get it eventually from a collector's perspective but no stress and it's popped up now with 10 kms which is very close to zero so I don't think I'm getting a better opportunity. Waiting for some of the others with similar mileage.

I can wait till the longtail comes back already have 6 on order and will join my 6 short tail gtr's so excited.:)

Then 6 normal F1s.

My dream grid and I'm working hard to make it happen is a full grid of 5.

F1 GTR's
P1 GTR's
F1 GTR's Long tail
Normal F1's

My reaction to that grid.

Itā€™s appearance in Music Rally was enough for me to say itā€™s not worth 13,000,000 credits.

Same with other cars that are free to try in missions and license tests like the 2J and 917. Theyā€™re great, but their appearances in these trials are good enough for me at present.

The question is simple. Are you in love with the Mclaren F1? Or Le Mans cars from that era? Then you will be happy to spend that kind of money on it. This is not about performance compared to other Gr. 3 cars. This is about that car and its history. Would i spend 11 mio. on this car? No, but thats because i have no special connection to the F1. I'm all about japanese cars. Would i spend 11 mio. on the Pennzoil GT500? Sure! Because i love these Super GT and JGTC cars and i need it for my Supra vs. NSX vs GTR 90s GT racing battle.

Back to the topic F1.. if i will ever buy one, it will be the longtail version with Fina livery. It just looks amazing.

Ended up buying the McLaren F1. Did some Sardegna grinding this evening and got enough to buy the F1 and have enough left for the MP 4/4.

Perhaps I need to find a good setting for my driving style (heavy on the front, light oversteer), but so far the lap times are about 4 seconds slower than my Porsche 911 RSR. The F1's front end is a too loose to my likings. I like them snappy! Even added some weight to the front, but with the current handling I'm not able to get it under 1:40 on Sardegna (time trial).

The purchase of the F1 got me collectors points, shooting up from 33 to 40. That's at least a plus. I'll do Menu Book 43 with the F1 and then decide to either sell it again or not. I do love the sound of the car, though.

I had purchased the McLaren F1 GTR - BMW '95 on February 8. Now I'm awaiting for the Jaguar D-type to reappear in this dealership and it is the only one I haven't purchased.

Purchased the 95' McLaren F1 GTR an hour ago.

Damn, that car is pure bliss! Finally a fun race car to drive. For those who liked the Ford GT40 Race Car '69 or the F1 GTR Race Car '97 in GT5/6, this car is for you. Tricky and nervous as it should.

Performance isn't the goal here.

For those who are interested, I have made some settings for this car (Sardegna 800PP). Afterall, it has to work hard to pay back its debt of 11 million or so...

Fuel map 3 (for 2 stops), brake balance is on -2, MT can do the 5 laps.
Hope it helps.
