I decided to buy 3 of each of my favorite race cars and bought a third CLK-LM and a second F1 GTR because well why not. I’ll have to grind to buy another F1 GTR but I’ve got time before it sells out. Now if the Escudo does appear then I’ll buy two of those before the 3rd F1 GTR but I should have enough time to grind for all of them.

Congratulations friend. If you have any used cars to sell let us know.:gtpflag::cheers:

I think I am going to buy two Escudos when they show up. I just got one the first time they appeared because I wrongly assumed like everyone else it would eventually come back in a few months. 🤣 I don't know I might need to buy three or four. That's one thing I would like to see added the ability to buy multiple cars at once instead the current system. It's not a big deal just something I recently thought about. TBH there are waaaay more important things to fix in this game than that

The Toyota Celica rally car is back. 👍

Know what? When I posted about the RS cars in the UCD, I was going to ask about the Celica, as the road car is also in the UCD. Well, that answers that.
The road car is freshly sold out. For the record, the rally car was unavailable for 100 days, as it sold out 12/26/2022.

That's one hostage back, and 2 to go. We'll see if the Escudo does indeed make it back tomorrow night.
Super excited for the Escudo I held off buying my 5 97 F1s till the escudo appeared that way I can buy 3 and be able to get back to 100m to buy the 5 F1s plus the f1 is available for like 12 more days so its fine.

Hope that ford roadster is not far that car looks like fun.

I couldn’t recall when the Celica road car was available in relation to the rally car. I definitely wasn’t paying attention to it, but curious when I noticed the Celica road car(showing low stock yesterday) at the same time as the Porsche RS cars.

Woohoo one hostage down 2 to go! I wasn’t expecting this so more additions to my grinding to do list! I might have to back off on my plans to acquire triples of my favorites briefly to at least secure doubles of the two race car hostages. Only getting one Ford Roadster for the swap since I have that engine.

There's no relationship between the two dealers. The UCD cars come back just under a month from when they sell out, while, except for the three "trophy" cars (and potentially the McLaren MP4/4), the Hagerty's cars come back a bit under 2 months from when they sell out once they slot into the regular rotation.

As for the third hostage (the Ford Roadster), I'd expect that one back around 4/20 based on the fact it was last available 2 weeks after the Escudo.

I’m struggling to grasp if this is trolling or serious.
Person's referring to this that flashed up on my F1 news links a few days ago, wouldn't stop me from buying the car though!

EDIT: I actually own the car already before this article came to light I just realised!

Now back to the OT stuff about LCD...

Eh I just slapped my own livery on it like all my other race cars. I doubt he even makes money on it anyways. Now back to waiting impatiently for the GTO '62

So yeah, the Escudo might finally come back. Just wondering, is it any good in GT7? And can you actually use it, you know, somewhere in Single Player mode?

Some use it to grind Tokyo apparently, I haven't tried as I don't have it. I'll buy it before it disappears again.

Yes, the Escudo is the best car to grind for both Sardegna and Le Mans 700, though it can be boring due to how easily the car wins both races, i've gotten times as low as 1:27 using the car on Sardegna though I will admit that it's only weakness IMO is fuel usage as on average you will have to pit atleast twice maybe even 3 times if using anything higher than 4.

Even after patch 1.31 ?

Suzuki Hostage Crisis Day 238 - It's OVER!

After being unavailable for a record-setting 238 days, the 1998 Suzuki V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special finally returned to Hagerty's tonight, for the same 1,700,000 Cr. it was available for back in August 2022. In the time since the Escudo was last available:
  • Every car except the fellow hostage Ford Roadster (itself gone 224 days) and the 5 cars introduced in 2023 have appeared at least twice.
  • 44 cars have appeared three times
  • 9 cars have appeared four times
  • 1 car out of the regular rotation (which excludes the "Trophy Three"; the Ford Mark IV Race Car, Jaguar XJ13 and Ferrari 330 P4), the 1988 McLaren MP4/4, has appeared five times
Now the attention turns to the Ford Roadster, which will set the record if it's not back by 4/20.
