I just bought two Escudos just based on the car reputation and then used it to set a personal lap time record for LeMans right out of the box. It was worth the wait! (now for the 787B to return so I can buy that, only bought GT7 in February 2023)

Finally..... with Escudo, I have all the cars, Yah ouh 😤.😁😁😁
I only need 4 ferraris, the roadster(which I have been waiting for 6+months) and the Porsche.
Until we get new cars that is.

Yes it's still the fastest grinding car IMO and the patch made the PP even lower hence why I am able to use it on Le Mans 700.
Also noticed the PP drop.
I like to use the R92CP on the 1hr spa at times.

My previous tune was just shy of 800pp, now it was something like 770pp.
Cranked the power up, but the R92CP handles like a bus now.

Escudo Pikes Peak finally purchased. I Don't like how it drives, I prefer the 917K over it TBH. Fortunately, it's not as overpriced as this one.

I think I only have a few left to buy, one of them being the Ferrari 250 GTO. After what I will feel much more free to waste time here and there...

I haven’t gone through many threads this week so I missed the heads up

Last night was the first time I skipped looking at the car refresh, either in game or online; of course it’s the one that the Escudo reappears. I saw it in a post this a.m. before logging into the game and very excited. I actually ran quite a few runs of Sardegna since the weekend so $$ is back up.

I’m thinking maybe 3 copies, that’s what I did with the classic Gr.1’s but if its slated to disappear for another 8+ months IDK. Hope we see the other hostages next. Also very stoked for the upcoming SF23 next update

Was a little disappointed to hear the Escudo’s fuel consumption (and handling?) worsened though.

Some use it to grind Tokyo apparently, I haven't tried as I don't have it. I'll buy it before it disappears again.

Yes, the Escudo is the best car to grind for both Sardegna and Le Mans 700, though it can be boring due to how easily the car wins both races, i've gotten times as low as 1:27 using the car on Sardegna though I will admit that it's only weakness IMO is fuel usage as on average you will have to pit atleast twice maybe even 3 times if using anything higher than 4.

I dont see the point of worrying about which car to use at Le Mans since ANY car takes 30 minutes, and any car can win easily.

But yes, the Escudo is currently by far the fastest car for Sardegna and Tokyo. I have a sub-24 minute tune for the Escudo posted in the Sardegna thread and a sub-23 minute tune posted in the Tokyo thread.

Those are by far the two best grinds in the game in terms of credits per hour. Tokyo pays 100k more credits and is a minute faster, but many prefer Sardegna because it’s harder (almost impossible) to lose the Clean Race Bonus, whereas Tokyo you have to avoid all the traffic to keep it.

Oh wow, the Escudo and the 787B are the two best cars in the game. The 787B just destroys every race it’s eligible for, mostly due to its amazing tire life and fuel economy.

The weird thing with the Escudo is that if you set it at 700pp at Lemans on RH tyres when you pit for intermediate or wet tyres ...... There isn't any choice !!!!!
PD glitch hunters " make " it again.
Putting intermediate tyres is about 728 pp so you have to set it on these tyres at 700 pp and then start the race .
I never so any other car to be higher on pp with intermediate tyres over RH tyres and equal on RM !!!
Amazing, isn't it ?
Thats why Escudo was so late to make his appearance....... Wasn't ready the " fix " from PD glitch hunters.

I bought the Escudo just for the GT2 meme power.

My current NEED cars: F40, 288GTO, 550 Spyder, GT40 (last two for menu tickets)

Current want cars - I'll buy if I have the spare money: 787B, Silk Cut Jag.

Was about to pull the trigger on the F1 GTR, but then noticed the convicted racist a-hole N. Piquet name on it.
I know it's just a game and a game car, which livery can be dumped real quick after buying this car, but I'm not paying for anything tied to this a-hole.
If it helps at all there’s about a 0.0000000000000000000001% chance he’s getting any money at all each time someone buys this car in the game. If you buy the car in the game you’re not supporting him in real life in any way.
If he got any money at all for his name being on it (and that’s probably a big if) he would have got it up front when the deal was made to put the car in the game showing his name. So if he got any support or money, he already got it regardless of how many times the car is subsequently bought in game.
Also, and this part probably won’t help, but to be completely honest, in a way, you‘ve already paid for something tied to him as you purchased the game that contains a car with his name on it, so the “damage is already done” so-to-speak as you’re not paying real life currency to purchase the car in game, you’re using in game credits, you’ve already used real money to purchase the game, unless it was gifted to you.
I don’t condone or support racism, but it’s not like you are supporting him and putting money in his pocket or enabling him to continue on with that behavior by buying the car in the game.

You gotta be kidding me. This is the silliest reason I've ever seen for not buying a car.

Looks Escudo brings happiness to most of us who waiting for it days after days.
Next will be Ford's Roadster, I bought 1 before, would like to buy 3 when it appeas in the LCD.
I also keep eyes on low miles car in UCD, to replace those high miles cars, such as GTO around 100K miles.

Is there any outlook on very expensive cars (10~20M) will be added to LCD later on ? If no more, then I will be free from grinding.

Good luck with finding low-mileage cars in the UCD - the RNG that determines mileage has been broken/frozen for the last several months.

As for Hagerty's, after the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO comes back (most likely tonight Europe/Americas time), we should be good on the 8-figure front for about a month.

It’s no 21 on the list (last seen a month ago) so not likely coming for a couple of months at least.
I've had one but I sold it... Did not know I had to keep them in the garage to validate potential future café menus.

Did the same. First time I was able to get one and given the reputation as a grind car I figured I'd better get two in case wear one out.

Seeing how it looked relatively affordable - at least by LCD standards - I decided to buy the WRC-spec Celica today. I bet if that Lancia Delta rally car from the '92 season returns, it'll be going into Gr.B, as well. But seeing how the Pikes Peak-spec Audi Sport Quattro is also in Gr.B, I wonder if some "Group B rejects" could also go into Gr.B proper, like the Porsche 959 that entered Dakar, or perhaps the Peugeot 405 T16 that was in the famous short film "Climb Dance"?

The Celica is a really good car, but with the new physics modeling the back end is squirrely again under heavy braking. I had that all under control in v1.30, but now I need to adjust the suspension again to tune that out.

Perhaps a Gr.B race will be coming up soon?

Regarding mileages on cars, both the 959 and 904 are almost (and exactly) the same number as each car's engine displacements respectively (2848 & 1966). Even the Peugeot is pretty close.
