The Alpine is a beast -- I beat the 30 minutes of Le Mans 15 seconds clear of the the driver in 2nd. A cool 825,000cr in my pocket from that too

with the turbo / intercooler, short shifting, and FM6, I did a one-stop and won by over a minute. 4:14 fastest lap so far. what a little beast!

update: I bought a second one to make for 600pp / so I don’t feel too badly about changing the beautiful livery

Came here to ask about the Alpine as that was the only one that piqued my interest. Looks positive. Will buy today.

Still waiting for a group C car (didn't buy the Sauber as I was saving for the CLK).

Better be quick. I read that there were only 8 made, and not all have survived to the present day.

Are you not able to just save the original livery Incase you want to revert it back to default after you change the livery?

Alpine A220 Race Car '68 is a massive bargain. I expected it to be at least ten times that price.
I also expected it to cost more, but the price is understanable after reading the description. This car was shortened for rally participation and wasn’t particularly successful.

you absolutely can reset to what it was originally. honestly its a shame you can't add to this one, even just for a number

Yeah and I’ve got 1. Got the original AMG too. Just the F1 for the 3 x 24 hr legendary cars trophy. Only 0.1% have it.
Waiting for the group C cars too. I’ve got the 787b paint job on the Mazda vision but it’s a poor relation. Not competitively, it feels like cheating when I use it.

No-one really has the trophy yet. It's likely the 330 P4 is the last car, to go alongside the XJ13 and Ford GT MK IV.

Still nobody knows for certain which the three cars are. It just says three legendary cars destined to win 24 Hour Races, so it's rather ambiguous.
Hopefully cars such as the Mazda 787b and the Jaguar XJR-9 are bound to drop in the next refreshes. Than we'll finally know for sure which ones count.

Oh, damn, I read it as any 3 legendary cars built for 24 hr Racing. Still getting the F1 before the day is out anyway.
Don't let that F1 slip away; by far the best Gr. 2 car and one of the best handling cars in the game. Terrific car that can probably compete and hold its own against Gr. 1 depending on the track

@foxdylan They both drive well for what they are and neither scale up particularly well if you aren't really careful with the throttle. I'd probably go with Enzo just to get the more expensive car out of the way but the invites are good for a month so you'll have time to get both (or all of the invite cars) if you choose. If you're looking for a high-end hyper-car to take into like 800pp races you'd probably be better off with the FXX since it's a track car.

Just got it. I always run a few laps of Laguna Seca to try a car. Mostly group 3 cars and just blew them away by 8 seconds on my first lap 😂 It’s the first car I’ve thought doesn’t need adjusted in anyway.

Yeah it really feels fast if you're used to Gr. 3 cars, lol. I always try a car stock myself and I'm not sure I've done anything to it aside from adjusting transmission and downforce. PD did a fantastic job on this car, although the F1 road car is pretty incredible as well so maybe it's just that platform. I'm expecting great things from the Gr. 3 '95 GTR; just not looking forward to paying for it...

I guess we'll be seeing the 155, Z432(since it's been gifted in the "HaHafunny" events) and Cobra Coupe this time around. Not sure about the remaining Group C cars. Maybe after this next swap.

As anticipated, the boss 429, f1 gtr, 300sl, 1500 BAT, and DB3S are now sold out with no new cars listed.
I'm glad I woke up this morning a little early to grind and get that F1 before work.

The Alpine A220 is an interesting vehicle to drive on Comfort Soft. It breaks traction soo easily and requires a lot of patience on the throttle. Handling wise it's pretty good and goes through corners well but the overall experience isn't that enjoyable. I wouldn't want to race it for very long, if at all.

Red Pig on 30min Le Mans was fun, came out of the pits p18 and ended that lap p1 thanks to the heavy downpour. Not sure where I would have ended that race if the weather held off the rain. Can't wait to try the A220 tomorrow.
Looks like I'll be grinding, buying & driving the LCD drops this weekend :mischievous:

It makes no sense to me that a “race” car would be delivered with “comfort” tires suitable for a Honda Fit. The A220 is equipped with everything else upgraded to the hilt, but crappy tires? False economy!

First thing I did was to buy her some decent shoes, and she’s a pleasure, nay, a delight to drive.

EDIT: Here’s a 2014 thread about the A220 -

I meant the Le Mans version. From what I could gather, the one featured in the game is a modified version for rallying, no?
No, it's not a rally car. It's built for road racing.
