Little things you'd like to see in GT5

It would be great if I had to buy tires every time they wear off like real tires. You buy a set of 4 tires for street cars and a bigger set for racing cars, of course the prices would be different so they are not too expensive to buy in comparison to the money you get from the races and championships.
It would be fun if you enter in the pit and remember that you should bought more tires

I'd like a Fully Customizable Transmission that was Fully Customizable. Meaning, if I wanted to build a 3 speed, I could, and if I wanted to build a 7 speed (with that same transmission), I could.
I realized this in driving the '64 Pontiac GTO round the 'Ring. I'd like to gear it like the Mercedes SL 65 AMG, but I can't.
It'd be neat to do a transmission swap, even, and put the Merc gearbox into the Pontiac classic. You say it's not possible, but neither is bouncing off Armco intact, so there.
D'oh.

I like the idea (being the huge music fan that I am) but how about a along with customizible playlists also putting your own songs on the playlist like this:orpheusd0wn
You go to the playlist
you select "file"
Then Select "Transfer"
Then It Says" insert CD"
you put your CD in
It reads you music Cd(CD-R,CD-RW)Saying"Transfering"
Then it says "transfer complete. Take out CD and Insert GT4"
should the Soundtrack Suck, by adding your songs, you can have not only a truly customizable playlist but also a soundrack taylored to you.

three things I would like to see is driver changes happening in the pits with the driver coming out of the car for B-spec mode and the other driver gets in with one guy strapping him in.another thing is along with the damage they already trying to put in, when you come in with say a damaged rear or front bodywork, there is a crewman already waiting to put on the new parts. and one more thing would be to have a view from inside the car and on the front spoiler and on replays or b-spec mode, they have a view at the back of the car like the corvette and the audi R8 did at sebring this year.

as for the news interview, a new challenge because of the diverse amount of faces to use along with motion capture, which is something PD has not done before.

have every car its acutal stock gauge for display in first person view. Engine swaps, drifting mode, little details to really feel like your actually driving on the road. In other words improve upon the "simulation" experience.

the engine blowing up i like that and to really sum it up , it could also be engine fire, oil leaking out, smoke coming out of the pipes, and suspention failure. by the way, Two cool groups of cars to include would be Daytona prototypes and stock cars along with also building you own car(whether a race car or a road car) from the ground up.javingarcia_555

Perhaps they could have where you could scan your scale cars(1:12,1:18,1:24, 1:43, 1:64,) into the game two ways.
1.Eyetoy
you stamp a pattern (with an non smuggable ink and a hand stamper thats included with the game)on the desired car and hold the pattern up to the eyetoy, wait 2 seconds, and it shows your car on the game in its same colors.

2. Interface scanner
the game comes with a sheet of reusable stickers with patterns on them and a circular flat scanner.there are five different sizes for all five scale car sizes. you plug your scanner in the memory card port, place your sticker on the bottom of the car, and you put your car on the scanner. it then reads the pattern on the sticker and in two seconds also, your car appears on screen.
both of these would use a laser to go thru the pattern and trace the shape outside and inside of the car. this would especially be good when starting off the game with no cars. Neat Right?

When you buy a new piece of kit it changes the sound of your car(exhaust, turbo)
Reverse lights(i know it petty........)
Mid-championship oil changes(formula gt, polyphony digital cup)
Spray-shop and choice of decals etc.(Brite yellow skyline sponsored by Anusol????)
Part wear(my 001 has done 1600 km's and all its needed is few oil changes?

I've been thinking alot about this, here's an idea i'd LOVE to see implimented (although I doubt it will ever happen):
You know the overworld on GT4, where you can pick the license center, home, etc., I think it would be awesome if you could actually drive back and forth to the places you need to go. For instance, if you wanted to compete in a race, you'd have to actually drive to the racetrack (of course there could be an option to skip this and just get to whatever it was you wanted to do), but I think that would be a really cool thing to do. Even without moving traffic or stop signs and whatnot, I think it would be cool to drive to and from places

Ok. Here's what I'd like to se added/changed for GT5 or 6.
Better music. C'mon! Where's the hyper j-pop? Rap/Hip-hop doesn't fit racing and neither does crappy rock. Get some metal in there. Anything fast is perfect for racing. It puts you an more of an edge.
I want realistic engine and car noises. When you change an exaust system on a car, I want to hear the change. I noticed that there were a lot of the same sounds coming from many different cars. A V6 sounds different from a 4cyl in real life, but I swear I herd the exact same sound coming from a fully tuned Skyline and a stock Civic. That's wrong. And on the Formula cars, where's the highpitch scream, where's the guttural sound when downshifting? Also, more realistic tire squealing please.
No autosave.
Less slowass cars. I don't know about you, but I just don't feel that vibe from racing an 80hp box that I do when racing somthing a little more substantial. No more motorcarriages please.
Have the option to have companies sponsor you. You get free parts and have your car's appearance change accordingly. And you only get to keep the sponsor as long as you do well in the races.
Realtime wear and tear on your car. I want to have tires tear appart if you drive on them too long and/or damage them. And have the tire wear more realisticly, no more of the 6 and 10 lap tire changes. That's just unrealistic. I also want to see overheating and all the yummy engine and drive system damage that comes with hard driving. Also, I want tiremarks and deformation of the dirt and the stuff on the tracks. And I want to be able to flip the car over.
A greater sense of speed.
Menus and part buying/equipping needs to be stramlined and sped up as mentioned before.
More parts and rims and paint schemes. I want to be able to choose what body kits I put on my cars. And I know that there are more than 9 rim manufacturers, please put some better ones in there along with being able to keep the rims you've bought.
Dynamic weather. I want a thunderstorm to creep in on the race!
Pit crew chatter.
Day and night changes during the race.
You being able to create a character like in Tiger Woods golf and appear on the podium when you win. Also have actual racer names in the lineup rather than just what type of car you're racing.
If you change a visible part on a car, I want to se it change, like the exaust for example.
Penalties and actual race race rules.
No more circut rallies.
More cars and more evenly matched cars in the race. Six cars is getting old. As is the one dominating car other than your own.
Im sure I can think of a bunch of other things, but that's it for now.

I listen to ideas even if it sounds like what everyone else says. I looked at everything on that post and saw three things and thought of some provisionsRiplox
1. the tire wear idea is good but how about also tire rub as well as flat spotting the tires to put in more realism.
2. the "create your own own driver" idea could take a while considering they have never done motion captuire or facial mapping.
3.they are working on the amount of cars racing so don't worry about that.

Hope that GT5 has a well developed online mode. They need to allow cars out of the user gargage to be used in network and online mode. Really would like to have the ability to choose what cars the A.I. pick in arcade mode including ones from you garage. So how has the online experience been for thoes that have got it to work ? I tried for a week or two, but have type of set-up that does not work good. Have there been any videos posted of 6 players racing online, if there are any that are have way decent point me in the right direction. Baught the mad catz yellow racing wheel a few hours ago. Back to racing !
Nattefrost- Fix the autosave. When I turn it off, I want it completely turned off. In GT4 it still saves when I switch cars, and I hate it. If I want to buy .... .....when we just want a quick race.
I think that's about it. I know it's quite a lot of 'little' things I have here, but that's because I really expect a lot of a GT game on the PS3. I hope PD reads my post and includes all this.
A fool's hope of course, but this would be my perfect GT game (until I come up with some other ideas).
