thats a good idea cause its a waste of to go back and fourth to change wheels just for photomode so with what you said, they should have an option called "wheels settings" its in menu next to the camera options but it would also have where not just the wheels can be changed, but also where the other cosmetics too.

how about when you buy new cars you get a screen where you get a list with check boxes that have every option availiable for that particular vehicle and you check what you want in it and that is the vehicle you get

It'd be neat to do a transmission swap, even, and put the Merc gearbox into the Pontiac classic. You say it's not possible, but neither is bouncing off Armco intact, so there.

It could be possible if the Merc - Benz trany is mount behind motor like the muncie in the pontiac

Like setting the number of laps, selecting the track, and cars u want to compete with.(not like selecting a Mazda Miata vs a Saleen S7) but something like selecting Corvettes vs Vipers vs Gt40s, etc. or any car equally competitive with the one you use to race.
I always thought of this since GT3. It'd be cool to set up your own race, this option should be in something like arcade mode.

1.well that defeats the purpose of getting in a race without the troble of going to simulation for a quick race.
2.well that , you just hope that they have online play because if they don't, good luck.

1. I like the idea of having your own driver so how about having like a facial capture thing like on that baseball game.
2. you could draw your own designs (or use some default designs in the game) and Create it like that.
3. must have transparent windows cause its not enough just to see the driver in the convertable but also in other cars too.

i dunno if this has already been said but i'd like to stress this...

once you've bought a car... in the GT Auto or whatever it's gonna be, have the ability to respray your car any colour you want, maybe racing decal paint jobs as well, like back in the first game... just some small things, but still.

One of my biggest problems with GT series is that the arcade races don't adjust the cars you're against to what you're driving. That makes no sense! It should be at least in the same HP class if not the same car class. This would prevent races from being blow outs or david vs goliath style.

for some reason, the A.I. is never really either in the same class as your car or it is never competitive one good example is GT2. you choose a race car and all it pits you against is road going sports cars. and on GT3, It was so annoying to point were I got a slower car on purpose just to spice things up and win(thats maybe why I master the game in like four months) and in GT4, I got thru almost the entire game in less then that (till my PS2 Messed up again)so they should take that into serious consideration.


BTW, I accidentally posted a post twice in "the Racing Quiz thread"so could you get rid of the one on top.

The one thing that I hope is done right are in the Sports Car and Formula style race, 2-3 of each car max. And with the larger scale races such as LeMans that you would be able to compete for a class victory and not against 10 of the red Audi R-8, 5-6 Mazda's, and only 1 Corvette.

great to think about. also would it be awesome if you won the twelve hours of sebring and along with the car you won, you would also get an invitation to the 24 hours of le mans as you go in your garage? now I don't exactly know how the real invitation looks but that would be awesome and also there would be practice and qualifiying before the race.

The black lmp cars was a good feature that many GT4 players were excited about (including myself), I hope they bring that back in GT5, but PD should stop being bias and put more black NON Japanese lmp cars in GT5. If the Toyota GT1, Nissan R390,
R92cp, and Mazda 787b had black paint jobs, why not other prototypes? Is PD being bias over non Japanese protoypes? I strongly beleive so.

Another cool thing I thought of, would be presentations for a big race, (endurance, chanmpionships,etc.) Like car anouncements, positions, sort of like commentaries.

I just would like racing modification back, like in GT1 and GT2. Respray would be cool, a "get a new engine option" for used cars to reset the milage back to 0, maybe an engine swap so we could create hybrids (Dodge Ram SRT-10), every last track in the GT series, they could also record sounds from the exaust instead of the hood or both and combine them, and they need to take their time on this game.

- Realistic Engine Sounds
- Inside Dashboard view w/ fully functional wheel, and readable instrumentation
- Ability to create your own race at any track with any competition you want. i.e. the ability to chose your opponents' cars and the race length
- Realistic transitions from day to night in 24h races like Le Mans.
- Realistic weather (w/ ability to turn on or off)
- Headlight and windshield wiper control for 2 above reasons.
- Smooth/logical working Multiplayer section, w/ ability to rate cars accurately for good competition. Basic HP ratio is good, but there can be more criteria.
- Of course, more cars, like the AUDI QUATTRO RALLY CAR, BECK PORSCHE REPLICAS, etc.
- It would be cool to be able to drive around some kind of town like in old NFS or GTA games, with your car all tuned. However, I seriously doubt it will happen.

The only reason I'm not down with this is that it takes up screen space. Of course it's not as "realistic" to just have an empty screen with the tach and speedometer. But IRL you're not restricted to just 36" of viewable space.

Putting all that on the screen would take up a good amount of space and generally limit the viewable area of the screen. Unless you had a 60" wide screen or something.

I would like to see longer lap record lists.

In GT4 you could only show the top 10 times.

I would like to see lap record lists like Top Gear's ones where there are about 50 or 60 cars lap times.

colors for the prototypes. in GT4, the only prototype you could do that with is the Audi R8 whearas the others you just change their numbers.there should be more then just those.

weather that is unpredictable, like wen u r runnig an endurance race it would be cool if the starts falling and u have to make pit changes to switch to wet tires.
Damage would also be cool, so wen those cheaters out there try to grass skip and spin and hit the wall thats it.(many people wud be pisssed at this point)

Also a better cokpit view i kno i would take up space but we dont need the workin gauges and crap, just a veiw that put us closer to the ground than gt4 did.

sounds like a snake talking to me weather randomization cool 👍 but by that same token, some just like to race in the rain(don't know why so don't ask)others in the sun so consider also customizing weather conditions too.

true true and u know wat else GET RID OF THAT STOOPID 5 SECOND PENALTY, i dont kno y the PD put that in, escpecially with the rally races. I mean how can u have two powerful rally cars on a narrow course and not expect them to touch, just last night i lost rallies over and over again because i would try to over take and happen to TOUCH the other racer and get hit with the stoopid penalty . eeerrr.

finally someone mentions that! I hate the penalties. like you said, how do expect two cars on a narrow course not to touch. the only way I got through the rally courses was by hitting the cars with the side of mine. you can get away with that so try it. I'll give you tips if you ask me.
BTW, they need to expand the selection of LMPs so it will be even better. considering you gonna have twenty cars or so on one track(hopefully), so why not?
