So the Giants weekly injury happened the other night... Freddy Sanchez dislocate his right shoulder but now looks like he needs surgery in which case would mean hes out for the rest of the season...

Giants three hitters that weren't struggling are gone, out the door. Sandoval will be here Tuesday, thank ****ing god. But seriously.. WHAT. THE. FFUUUU

Giants signed Bill Hall to replace Freddy Sanchez, our last hope for a position player to appear at the All Star game. We lost a top notch defender and a vital part of our success so far this year. But here we are, in first and continuing to find ways to win. Our pitching staff is untouchable, but our offense is dying by the series.

Our catching situation blows, nor Stuart or Whiteside can either hit or properly defend. We promoted our #1 catching prospect Hector Sanchez to AAA skipping AA. Likely to get lots of time in with Steve Decker. Talks of putting Sandoval back behind the dish basically means they want Tejada to stay around. Burrell hit his first homerun since the first week or whats seemed like it.

Please for the love of god Bochy, bat Huff third and Pablo 4th so Huff will finally see his first fastball of 2011. Ross and Schierholtz seem to be the only ones capable of getting a hit late in the game. Hopefully this is the year Schierholtz breaks out, he finally is getting some decent playing time and has come through good so far. Hopefully Hall will bring something to the table but it looks like all he did was strikeout for Houston.

After a weekend of Le Mans and Gran Turismo 5... my Astros are one loss away from getting swept by the Braves. We lost 6-3 on Saturday and 4-1 on Sunday. Our next series is against the Pirates. Only good news is that we're facing an NL Central team next. The Astros are 24-42 after taking another loss.

As for teams doing much better than mine (meaning almost any other team other than the Twins), I'm sad Freddy Sanchez went down. I was a fan of his even before he joined the Giants.

The Dodgers finally figured out how to produce runs, it's just too bad that they forgot how to preserve leads. This tends to be the case with your best relievers all on the DL. Good news on the horizon: they should all be back soon. Jansen looks to make his final rehab appearance today, Kuo hit 96 in a rehab assignment, Brox might only be a week off, I forgot when Padilla was slated to return but I'm of the impression that it will be sooner not later.

Fun nugget of information for the day: Kemp is on the brink of a temporary triple crown and he's also leading all major leagure players in consecutive games played.

10-game homestand starts today. Doyers are about 6 games back so hopefully some ground can be made up in the friendly pitching confines of Dodger Stadium.

The Braves will return home to take on the New York Mets. But, they'll be heading home having suffered an 8-3. It was almost a shutout had it not been for a meaningless 3-run jack by ATL in the Top of the 9th. We got it done on 14 hits and no errors. The Braves only managed six hits. No errors from either team. Wandy Rodriguez won for HOU while Lowe lost for ATL. My only question is... where was THIS kind of Astros offense in our three losses in this series? Houston now have their silver win. It's 25 wins now for the H-Town boys.

Up next... Pirates invade Minute Maid Park. Hopefully my Astros can kick some Pirate booty (play on words) in this final series of this homestand before hitting the road at the Dodgers this weekend. The at Dodgers' series will be followed by Interleague action as we'll be at the Rangers starting on next Monday. Of course, we'll likely get swept by and have our asses handed to as they'll retain the Silver Boot (unless we get lucky win a game against TEX). But that's the road trip- we got Pirate problems in the next series.

How did your boys do tonight?

Interesting (and brief) read about pitch sequencing starrying Chad Billingsley. It makes me happy because it rings of my approach to pitching in MLB: The Show. {LINK}

Justin Verlander nearly had his third no hitter tonight. Gave up a hit in the 8th though. Tigers ended up winning 4-0 over Cleveland.

Astros failed 1-0 last night. It was just one run, but we didn't score. So we dumped another one. At this point, we're playing for next season (even though it's mid-June).

Giants looking for a sweep tonight against the D-Backs. My god as Pablo brought some life back into this offense. Huff is looking better and Ross continues to hit. Hall has looked good so far, despite the fact he swings at everything. Apparently our hitting coach Muelens found a hole in Hall's swing that hes been doing for years. So hopefully he can pull a Burrell. Speaking of Burrell, hes starting to look better.

Fun fact.. Burrell hit his first triple since 2009. Yesterdays was to left field off of Bloomquist. In 09' it was a triple in center field off of... No other then Willie Bloomquist =)

Im so pissed at the dbacks right now..playing like they are new to this game. We are pulling a Rockies

We're (the Astros) NOT making the Playoffs. Book that. We failed 7-3 Wednesday night and then 5-4 on Thursday in a Pirates sweep. Better hope the Dynamo have a great season so that I don't have to keep hearing/seeing the Astros fail and fail and fail...

Twins are actually looking decent right now. We are still 8 games down but they have came back from further later on the season.

*Now watch as they drop their next 5.

What seems rare actually happened- the Astros won! I read that Brett Myers sat down 17 straight Dodgers as we won 7-4 in Los Angeles. We had 11 base knocks while the Dodgers managed only 4 hits. Both teams each had one error. Game 2 of this three-game series is tonight at 10:00 PM EDT (9:00 PM for us Central Time folk), and it will be Wandy Rodriguez (HOU; 4-3) vs. the undefeated Rubby de la Rosa (LAD; 3-0).

Good luck to all of your teams on this Interleague weekend of games! Well... Astros at Dodgers is maybe the only or a few non-Interleague matches this weekend.

Astros won 7-0 on Saturday, but failed in a 1-0 loss on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles. Up next... perhaps another exorcism for my Astros when we play at the Rangers starting Monday night. Elsewhere, I heard the Marlins' coach (I think) was fired after the Marlins lost 17 of their past 18 games either heading into Sunday or after Sunday.

Enjoy Interleague play, everyone! Good luck to all teams!

Three losses in a row now. We failed 8-3 on Monday night, then in 11 innings, the Astros saw the Rangers pound a solo jack to defeat us 5-4 after we led them. Regardless of whether we get swept at the Rangers or not, we're home to host the Tampa Bay Rays for the weekend at Minute Maid Park. Astros find a way to fail almost as bad as the Texans sometimes. Only the Texans are much more talented in their sport than my Astros right now.

How are your Inteleague battles going?

YESSSSSS!!! We won! No more 11 game losing streak. McKeon ftw.

Have a great weekend of Interleague battle (Atlanta at San Diego is the only non-Interleague game this weekend)! We got the Rays here at Minute Maid Park. The Sunday night game- Indians at Giants. In other words... beautiful AT&T Park in primetime on Sunday night! In OTHER other words... so full of win! :) Sadly, you won't get to hear the voices of Jon Miller and Joe Morgan on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball.

What Interleague action you all are into this weekend?

Marlins have a 3 game series with the Mariners in Seattle which means we're actually going to make an AL pitcher hit in his own park. :)

Stupid U2. It's kinda sad when a world-famous band's concert is more profitable to have in your park than your own baseball team's game.

Get the broom out. Astros f:censored:ed up again and failed as they got swept. I found out it was a 14-10 victory in favor of the Rays. No shame losing to the Rays, but this is just pathetic defending of home. This is part of a nine-game home Interleague stretch. We're hosting the Rangers starting on Tuesday followed by a weekend series against the Boston Red Sox.

Better hope the NFL or NBA doesn't get severely locked out. Otherwise, we'll be forced to see the Astros fail until they finally start playing winning baseball. At this point, may be years to decades until the Astros finally return to being a playoff team.

The fact that the Dodgers recently filed for bankruptcy didn't stop them from pounding out 25 hits at the Twins. They won 15-0 in Minnesota as the Twins managed only four hits.

Tonight, the Astros host the Texas Rangers for a three-game set followed by a weekend series hosting the Boston Red Sox. Good luck to all teams!

Astros swept by the Red Sox, losing 2-1 and going to a fantastic record of 29-56. End of the season, who freaking cares... best of luck next season, Astros. Only great news is Hunter Pence playing in Phoenix for the All-Star Game. No shame in losing to the Red Sox, but we're pathetic.

How the ass are the Giants still in first? I haven't been watching much, been to busy being drunk. After losing Freddy I thought the team was going to imploded. God damn our pitching is good... I haven't watched Zito since his return but apparently hes dropped the slider. He says that he started using it after the Cy Young year which is when he started to fall... Apparently he uses a different arm angle for the slider which I guess has put his control into a funk. Oh well apparently his curve ball is back to being 12-6 and kicking ass.. I'll have to watch his next start.

Vogelsong, Lincecum, Cain and Wilson all made the All-Star team.. To bad for Posey and Sandoval getting hurt other wise we would have the chance to have 6. Oh well... I'll just have to live with watching our pitching staff kick ass as usual instead.

That Lincecum kid is something else. Although I'm a Dodger fan, not the violent kind although I do have a striking resemblance to the A-hole all over the news(in LA anyway), I love watching that entire Giants staff do their thing. The Dodgers need to get this whole ownership/money issue out of the way and play some ball. I love my boys in blue but I hate to drop a couple of hundred buck to take my family to see a game just to be blown out.

My hometown Angels are on a roll with Jared Weaver pitching so well. I think he could start the All Star game for the AL with the way he's pitching.

Yay, Pablo got named to the ASG. 5 Giants named to it... Posey and Sanchez were both top 5 in voting before they got injured.

Home Run Derby tonight!

Who'll be banging out more long balls in Phoenix than the others? Best of luck to all the participants of this year's Home Run Derby.
