Nah, games over. We suck this year coming from behind. Was our specialty last year, this year we just suck.

🤬 this game.

I hope this is a good sign for us then.

Harvey isn't even our top prospect (Wheeler isn't ready). 8 K's through 3.1 IP?

EDIT: 9 K's through 4.1 IP. A Mets record.

10 Ks through 5 IP. I hope this isn't his best start of his career.

Yeah screw it. He seems to be the one making US look like rookies out there. Pitiful.

Now with Miley out, I would be surprised if you make it a 8-0 game.

Congratulations to Matt Harvey. 11 Ks in his first MLB start. 3 H and 3 BB. Also had 2 hits to set a modern-era record.

11Ks? Damn.

He's a Met. We'll screw up somewhere with him . In seriousness though it was a great performance. Probably won't do this against San Fran or San Diego next week but if he does, Met fans will be begging to keep him in the rotation for 2013 as the #3 Starter. I just hope Wheeler is as good as everyone says he is.

How about a grudge match? We got Villain's Dodgers looking to pay a visit to the boys up north- Prosthetic's Giants. Yep- Dodgers at Giants. And I'm sure for R1600Turbo's sake, he probably hopes they both lose so Arizona can inch closer for the NL West lead. Then... there's that other big rivalry on the other coast- the (as a FOX promo described it) desperate Boston Red Sox playing at the New York Yankees. Two big rivalry series this weekend. So enjoy your weekend baseball!

I'm hoping LAD kick some but for a couple days. I don't care about the gap to them, but if they can bring the gap down to the Giants than I'll be happy. We just have to win the next few games...

I hate the Boston-New York games. You could go out for a night on the town at 7 PM, get home at 11:45 and the game STILL won't be over.

Agreed. What I don't understand is why its all over MLB yet the fact that newly acquired Dodger Hanley Ramirez visiting the Giants for the first time. Nope, its all about Ichiro and the big NY/Bawston rivalry. Hmmm whats better... a 1st and 2nd place team and the longest lasting rivalry in history of Baseball going at it once again... Or a last and 1st place team having a long game in a minor league park. OMGBUTITSBAWSTONANDNY.

Comeon.. Its not like SF and LA are 'small' markets.. in fact on good years they are both top 5. No rec bro... no rec.

Agreed,it made for awesome drama in like '04 etc when boston was really competitive. But any time beckett is on the mound its going to be a long game. But at the end of the day i still love it,for obvious reasons. Looking forward seeing ichiro in his first game at NY. That is if it dosent get rained our

They might change it, but remember, the trade happened 2 days ago. You can't possibly expect ESPN to change games with less than a week's notice. (Also wouldn't be fair to those who purchased tickets to the Yankee game only to find out last second the game was moved up).

I said nothing about ESPN games... I was talking about MLB.com's front page. No mention of the Giants/Dodger game at the start of the day. Usually they have the biggest games up there then go on to game news.

Starling Marte, first mlb at bat, first mlb pitch, first mlb home run.

These pirates really are different this year

Well we got 6 runs when I wasn't listening to the game, then the Mets got 5 runs when I was. Maybe I should just stop watching. :indiff:

Club record tied- 11 straight losses. F:censored:ed up another one- 5-4 lead into the 9th leads to a 6-5 defeat. First time we lost this many games since 1995. And unless tomorrow night sparks any sort of wake-up call, we may likely surpass that losing streak tomorrow night. Again- I will NOT chat about my Astros until we actually win a game for a bloody change. Texans Training Camp is worth watching at this point rather than see the Astros fail another one...

Giants acquired Scutaro from the Rockies last night for INF Charlie Culberson. Awesome move, and I was going to put in my last post how the Giants need to go after Scutaro for some depth... and they did :D.

Last night the Giants got royally screwed by the HP Umpire when he didn't call a hanging slider right below the belt a strike. Which gave a very rare walk against Romo. We should of been out of the inning. It wasn't just that one call, the Ump was terrible the whole game. Terrible.
