It was what MLB Network was saying.

If the Rangers get rid of Napoli, I will have lost faith in Jon Daniels as a GM. They need to trade some minor leaguers for a good pitcher.

For the price that's going out there on all of the guys they are looking at, I don't think there's a deal I would make if I were them for a SP. Shields, Johnson, and Lee are too expensive (Beckett is too, but not worth anything expensive), Dempster only wants to go to LA and that pretty much finishes off all available pitchers.

Who in their right mind would trade for Cliff Lee? He's making $25 million a year.

Not a terrible trade if the Phillies picked up some of the contract. Problem is they won't do that AND they want top prospects in return.

A Tweet I jus read from MLB's Twitter feed talked about how the Brewers almost squandered a 4-run lead. Well, we led 3-0 for most of the game; and it wasn't until the 7th inning or so that Milwaukee finally woke up and started playing for real. Time to start a new losing streak... we failed. It was 8-7 in favor of Milwaukee. Astros needed four runs to tie in the ninth, but could only manage three. So our misery continues...

Travis Snider just got pulled from the game in Seattle, and the radio guys are certain that based on the hugs going around the dugout that he has been traded.

EDIT: Sounds like we got P Brad Lincoln from PIT

We win, 7-2. All of our runs came from Goldschmidt's 3-run jack, and the grand slam by Johnson.

And I think SF is losing at the moment, so if that happens we are within 3.5 games. 👍

For the second time in a week, the Mariners have made a trade with the team they are hosting. Eric Thames will suit up for his old club in his first game as Seattle-ite. Blue Jays got another pitcher, Steve Delabar in return

I like this as a Pirates fan. Lincoln is a good reliever with an alright fastball and a great curveball. He never seemed to cut it as a starter though. For a while there was a lot of talk about moving Hanrahan and moving Lincoln into the closer's role.

Either way, Snider seems like a pretty solid bat...and him, McCutchen and Marte could be a great outfield grouping for a logn time.

One of these trades could go down soon.

Victorino to LA for Lindblom and Ethan Martin.

OR

Dempster and Soriano to LA for.....

If Either trade goes down the other WILL NOT happen.

Hunter Pence to the Giants for Tommy Joseph.

Dempster likely headed to LA but unsure if it will be with anyone else.

Phillies will love Tommy... That dude has legit power. Think Napoli. Very similar type of player except Tommy knows how to play catcher. Tommy was blocked by Sanchez and Posey, so this is a great trade for both teams.

Thank god it didn't include Brown, Crick, Belt or Panik.

Oh man, with Pence coming in and the addition of Pablo coming back and Scutaro. Belt swinging the bat better... Oh **** I just ******. And we can bring Pence back next year too.

As for last night... terrible. Scott Hairston is a legit Giant killer, he has been since he was with SD. 89 career HRs and 14 are against the Giants. That's more then any other team. :/ And to think the Giants just missed out on three HRs last night... We got AT&T'd :/

Only thing I see us possibly doing today is trading Drew, maybe for a starting pitcher. Going to suck to see him go. Finally he gets back from the DL and we ship him off. :(

Some good news: 3.5 games back in the NL West. We're not great, but we're certainly not out of this yet.

Your own ballpark is your worst enemy it seems. Don't worry, you have Big Time Timmy Jim pitching tonight. You'll win (no, there's no sarcasm in that post).

Timmy has pitched well at AT&T (well all of our pitchers do). Right now hes doing the whole two steps forward one step back thing.

I fell asleep before the game ended (2 AM = too late for me to focus). Why can't they start these games at 3:35 PM PT?

Oh the rumors flying around.

Just over 2 hours to go...
Pence deal is almost official.

Rays and Rangers discussing Shields (not clear if there's anything beyond just discussion).

Diamondbacks may be making a huge move involving Upton. Won't be Garza. Can't see it being Shields or Josh Johnson. COULD see it involving Boston.
