If your team(s) still have a chance to make that postseason push, go for it! Enjoy the weekend series!

Someone claimed Cliff Lee. Would not shock me if it was the Mets (to completely stifle the Phillies), or the Diamondbacks (blocking the Dodgers).

How is my team looking?

Face it, Schwartz, our teams have THE worst records. And sadly, mine has the worst record. Astros are basically playing to avoid being last place for two successive seasons. I'm sure at Atlanta for my boys this weekend isn't going to do any favors for my boys.

Pretty sure we can block that...

No, you cannot. You didn't put in a bid so therefore nothing was blocked. I would HIGHLY suspect any deal of occurring. Philadelphia would probably ask for (and justifiably so) all of the prospects that LA wouldn't include in the Dempster deal.

I love how the new LAD owners come in and try to buy up all these players. Funny how their top trade earlier in the week didn't prevent us from sweeping them...

I wish my team had bold owners like that.

OOH BAY GOT A HIT! OMG ITS CHRISTMAS! (Hanukkah!) Its a mirage. We need to get rid of him.

Also, notice the pitcher they got in the deal gave up a run in 1/3rd of an inning .

They didn't improve pitching-wise until AFTER you guys bounced them.

No deal is going to happen, and LA knew this... They just did it to not risk the Giants taking a chance on him, though we really don't need him... But Sabean is crazy like that.

They would have to give up Zack Lee, at least. Plus 1-2 other B+ prospects.

This **** happens every year.

We're currently leading 3-2 tonight, but I have a feeling we're going to lose this game. 👎

Edit: or not.

Bullpen blew it again, but the game is under protest. If the call under protest is overturned we will be credited with the win.

Looks like we're not gaining any ground tonight. This will be a tough road trip, not only because we're playing some tough teams, but because LAD and SF are playing some not so great teams that may very well be easy wins for them.

Giants were on fire... They were winning threatening to sweep every series they played in until we failed in a game three against the Padres which was the start of a miserable home stand. We were among the best teams at home so far this year then we went 3-7, played like crap... Didn't pitch, didn't hit, didn't field, the bullpen fell apart a bit... We've been among the best in baseball in terms of # of hits but we couldn't even do that. Bochy called a meeting before the game today and we walked all over the Rockies. Got 2 runs (1 ER) off our old pal Sanchez and then scored another 14 runs over the next 6 innings. Pill went deep, Posey went deep... Pence got his first hit as a Giant.

Just another week before Pablo comes back.

Harrison rose the occasion and got his 13th win against the Royals, Mitch Moreland, fresh off the DL, hit a big three run bomb to seal the deal. Got a feeling the Rangers are settling in for the long haul.

Well, Toronto just hit a home run to tie it in the top of the 9th, so the A's have another chance to walk off two days in a row.

Edit: They lost.

And I have a feeling we are going to lose our game tonight too. 👎

Edit 2: ...and we did. Feel bad for Saunders. He really didn't pitch badly, but had zero run support. Such a shame when you only lose 3-0. LAD and SF are going to win tonight, so we drop back to 3 games off the lead. If we're going to try and win this thing, we can't let last place teams *cough*Philadelphia*cough* beat us like that.

Happy news in Astros land- we won! It was 3-2 in Atlanta in favor of the Houston Astros. This season doesn't matter anymore, but any win is surely something to build upon. L. Harrell won along with a W. Lopez Save. Losing for the Braves was P. Maholm. I obviously want the Astros to win and keep winning, but considering how far down the order the Astros are in the NL Central and overall, it doesn't really matter how the Astros do in tomorrow afternoon's game.

At this point, this analogy best suits my Astros: we're like a racing team that suffered a crash or some other setback, and we're just trying to finish the race. The rest of this season is basically Spring Training for next season for my Astros... only against NL teams (we're in the AL West next season).
