Back to back home runs from Johnson and Drew got us on the score board first, but the Phillies are coming right back. We NEED to win this game.

Edit: We're just giving this one away in the 8th.

You're welcome Phillies.

If we are going to have any chance of winning this division, we can't let 🤬 last place teams do that to us. We GAVE that to them on a silver platter.

Now on to Pittsburgh. Yay.

Yeah apparently we're playing little league ball today.

Edit: Yep, gonna lose again. I foresee a 4 game sweep. Hard to have confidence in this team lately.

Edit 2: Wow, super lucky on that one...

Only positive right now is that SF actually has some competition for the next few games. Unfortunately the Dodgers are playing Colorado. :indiff:

Backs manage to get two total hits. That's not going to win a game.

Philadelphia got shutdown tonight.

Weave is on the moud tonight. Lookin' to go 15-1. ;)

We could have the MVP, Cy Young, and RoY all on the same team!

And due to where you are, not even make it two games into the playoffs!

Evan Longoria returns to the Tampa Bay Rays' lineup tonight. One has to wonder if this gives the Rays that little spark to make a little noise in the AL East (or even the AL Wild Card). How effective do you think he could be in returning to the lineup?

UPDATE ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption" just had a segment on the Astros' futility. The "Always Hate Houston" network just chronicled on the Astros' futility over the years. I think Tony Kornheiser mentioned the Astros going from 76 wins... to 56-something wins... and currently at 36 wins. We lost last night 5-4 in 11 innings hosting the Nationals (4-game series), but I didn't care because our season is over, and there's no point in watching a team with hardly any hope in sight constantly fail. :(

I really hope we have a better game tonight. With my team you can usually figure how a game is going to go by the first couple innings. If we go down pretty much 1-2-3 in those innings, put your money down for a loss. :indiff:

Typical, runners on 2nd & 3rd with 1 out and we fail to score. That's the kind of 🤬 that's going to cost us this season. 👎

Buster Posey is on freakin' fire!

Interesting stat... Giants are #2 in Runs scored during road games in the NL and #3 in all of MLB. We really have struggled hitting at home this year. And this is with our best hitter out most of the year. Pablo is coming back next week most likely.

We failed AGAIN- 5-4 in extra innings last night. It's really hard to really have faith in a team that's just fallen severely like the Astros. The MLB Network probably said it best about my Astros- we're more like an expansion team rather than a proper Major League Baseball team. Even the 2012 Colorado Rockies or the 2012 Chicago Cubs are doing much better than my surrendering Astros. I've already moved on to Texans football and Rockets basketball rather than watch another Astros game this season.

While we're dealing with our own s:censored:ty season, the Cleveland Indians lost their 11th straight game last night. If they lose again tonight, they'll tie their second-longest losing streak in franchise history. Can the Tribe get their act together and win... or will they tie for their second-longest losing streak? Have to see how tonight's game ends up for the Indians.

This is unacceptable.

Which team?

Also, Kennedy on the mound tonight. He's riding a 4 start win streak, hopefully he can make it 5 in a row. As long as Goldschmidt, Montero & Johnson can keep up the good work, I think we'll scoot by with a win tonight.

In the first 8 games Johnson has been with the team, he's got 5 home runs and 15 RBI's.

Edit: I would also like to point out that those numbers are better than both of the high profile guys that went to the Giants and the Dodgers. :sly:

I found out the Indians won 6-2 earlier today. So congratulations to Cleveland on their win. So the only sad sacks in MLB baseball now are my (to quote Bart Simpson) craptacular Astros.

Oh... and good luck to all of your teams. Don't play like pieces of s:censored: like my 2012 Astros.

The Rockies lose so much harder than the Astro's. My team is waaaaay worse, even though their record is better.

Just escaped a bases loaded jam, even after a home run was hit to lead it off. This game is not going the way I thought it would. :indiff:

Edit: Never fails. We tie the game, and now their half of the inning they have the bases loaded with nobody out.

Edit 2: 6-4 Pirates, nobody out still. 🤬 it I'm done listening.

Edit 3: We lost 7-6. Giants are kicking ass so we are now back to 6 games behind. Put a fork in us, we're done.

Wow, the Cardinals are performing an epic faceplant. Are we sure this isn't 49ers vs. the Rams?

Scutaro is a beast... Pence is coming around, almost went yard yesterday. Also took one off the top of the wall in Colorado. Belt has come out of his slump too... Everyone is looking good and we have a pretty deep team now.

Really liking the acquisitions of both Pence and Scutaro. Scutaro has been nothing short of spectacular, a real shot in the arm and really provides some nice INF versatility and a good veteran bat. Hit his first HR with the Giants tonight, a Grand Slam that put the side ways number of 15 on the board. Along with an RBI double and a RBI single.

Scutaro reminds me a bit of Derosa, except hes healthy.
