This weekend is the final weekend of the regular season. If there's still a chance to make the postseason for your team(s), now is the time to make that final push. Good luck to your team(s) this weekend.

In the National League, it seems like a lot of who gets in and who doesn't depends on whether or not St. Louis wins or loses. At least, from what I've seen from MLB Network's bottom line. American League action still very much active.

Cardinals are all over Washington - up 5-1 after the first. Wainright on the mound for the Redbirds.

NO HITTA, DAWG!!!

Homer Bailey (CIN) no hit the Pirates 1-0 in Pittsburgh. It wasn't a Perfect Game, but it was a 1 run, 7 hit, 1 error effort for the Reds as they blanked the Pirates. Damned impressive to throw a no-hitter on the road. My congratulations to the Reds on this accomplishment. Congrats on the No Hitter thrown by Homer Bailey. A fellow Texan, by the way- from La Grange.

Elsewhere, it was 9-1 in favor of Baltimore at home against Boston. That's now 90 wins for the O's this season.

So ends the dismal season here in Tribe town. With 6 games to go, the Cleveland Indians have fired head coach Manny Acta and replaced him with bench coach Sandy Alomar.

From 3 games out of first place ..... to the cellar. Only here in Cleveland. :dopey:

As the famous saying goes around these parts concerning Tribe baseball ..... there is always next year. 💡 Yeah right.

Best of luck to you guys who's team may be taking part of post season play. 👍

By a football score of 7-6, we tackled the Brewers for loss (so to speak) to win tonight in Milwaukee. Part of the Astros' victory was two long balls by Jason Castro. It was E. Gonzales (HOU) who took the win while Y. Gallardo (MIL) took the loss. Every Astros win saves my sanity over this sinking ship of a team. Remember- we're playing for the future. It's going to take a while before the Astros really become contenders again. Likewise, I'm proud of my boys (obviously). When your team is crap or has a crappy season, you're proud of every win; though Lord knows more winning could have put your team in a better position as the season winds down. Still, winning is better than constantly failing.

Stop believing yesterday. :P It sucks, but it's the Braves(my #1) versus the Cards(#2), one game series. Oh, well. It could certainly be worse.

Just watched Doumit bring back the Twins from 6-0 to 6-4 in the eighth with a grand slam. Now it's getting interesting, but I hope Tigers still win. :D

Nice to see the Jays doing their best to spoil the Yankee's party, would be brilliant if they could pull off the series win.

And it would be great for the O's fans as well of course. I like them, and love Camden yards. I suppose it was hard not to love the park however. The only two game I attended at Camden were Ripken's 2,130 and 2,131. Amazing...

Too much, too late. Astros failed 9-5 at Milwaukee tonight. I found out they banged out home runs very late in the game. I'm assuming we were down 9-0 heading into being down to our final out. But, MIL held serve to force a Rubber Game for tomorrow afternoon. Astros have nothing to lose- we've been done for a long while.

8-2 win over the Cubs. Cahill had a 2 hit shutout going until the 9th, but did finish the game with over 125 pitches. Oh, and A's walk-off win. :D:tup:

If Texas sweeps today they will clinch a playoff spot. If Baltimore and New York win, they will both clinch playoff spots. If Washington wins, they will clinch the NL East.

Brewers' playoff hopes are now done thanks to a 7-0 shutout. We won by a touchdown (and the extra point)- 7-0. He also went yard with a nice jack (along with some other homers by the Astros). Jordan Lyles won the game while Fiers (MIL) took the loss. Astros finish this month 13-14. Our final series of the season is at the Chicago Cubs.

The Astros have shut out the Brewers, so Milwaukee has been eliminated from the playoffs. It will come down to St. Louis or Los Angeles for the 2nd wild card spot. Atlanta wins and right now Washington is losing, so the NL East will still be in play for the final series.

In the American League, Los Angeles' defeat of Texas prevents any clinch before the night games. If Oakland beats Seattle and Texas defeats Los Angeles, then 3 teams will clinch a playoff spot as Texas, New York and Baltimore will all clinch a spot. The final Wild Card will be between Oakland, Los Angeles and Tampa Bay.

One other note I didn't make mention of in our 7-0 rout of Milwaukee is that this was Jordan Lyle's first complete game and complete game shutout. I've been critical of this guy, but dude went the distance. Got to love a pitcher going the distance and get a shutout.

The final series of the regular season starts today and tonight. Good luck to your team(s), especially if there's still something to play for. Here's the updated "Who's In?" report:

! = division champs

--- AMERICAN LEAGUE ---
Baltimore (clinched playoff spot)
New York Yankees (clinched playoff spot)
Texas Rangers (clinched playoff spot)

--- NATIONAL LEAGUE ---
Washington (clinched playoff spot)
Atlanta (clinched playoff spot)
Cincinnati! (NL Central champions)
San Francisco! (NL West champions)

My Astros will be in action in what you can call the "NL Bottomfeeder Series." Astros at Cubs for the last time as NL Central opponents. Enjoy the final series of the regular season!

The Baltimore and Tampa Bay games will be fun to watch. Ditto with Oakland and Texas. (now that they are playing in Oakland)

D-Backs have officially finished in 3rd place this year. Not enough games left for us to pass the Dodgers, and San Diego is too far behind. Hopefully we can win at least 2 of 3 to finish off the year above .500. Funny that a month or two ago I predicted we would finish at the .500 mark, +/- 2 games. Looks like my prediction was right. :D
