Hey guys...here's a question you might enjoy, and will spark some discussion.

Aside from your team's gear, do you own any gear from any other baseball teams?

I myself have some jerseys and on-field hats from a few different teams. My jerseys include:

Miguel Cabrera, Tigers home white w/ 2012 Triple Crown patch
Dustin Pedroia, Red Sox home white w/ Fenway 100th Anniversary patch
Mariano Rivera, Yankees home white w/ all-time save leader patch
Albert Pujols, Cardinals home white (hey, it was only 10 bucks!)
Ricky Romero, Blue Jays old-style alternate black (coming in the mail)

As far as New Era's go...

San Francisco Giants, all black w/ 2010 World Series patch
Toronto Blue Jays, newer style all blue (just picked up today!)
Brooklyn Dodgers, dark blue w/ grey rim

Aside from the Blue Jays T-shirts I own, I have a Tigers travel mug I picked up when I went to a game there. It came filled with hot chocolate.

In addition to a Phillies cap and Callison jersey, I have two IronPigs caps and a T-shirt. Does that count?

I don't really like baseball all that much. I am still trying to find myself a navy blue cap with the Houston Astros' logo (the current logo, of course). That's all I'd really want as far as baseball goods are concerned.

I have a Cardinals hat because my dad was born in St. Louis (I never wear it). I used to have a Braves hat that I wore all the time because it was the last little league team I played on, but it broke down when I was like 16.

Other than that, it's just DOYER gear for me as far as baseball is concerned.

All I have is an old Vernon Wells T-shirt from the old black Jays colours. Should get one of the new ones but I'm cheap.

Sweep Sweep Sweep. Mets knock out the Rox and only allow 3 runs over the 3 games.

^

Just in, the Tribe dropped a 3rd straight against the Tigers. Lost it in the bottom of the 14th, 6-5. This is starting to hurt.

At least Cleveland is putting up a fight unlike the Nationals did.

**Okay as I typed that the Tigers just got a 5-run 3rd inning.

I have some Montreal Expos and Colorado Rockies shirts laying around somewhere. I have some Brewers trinkets too from my trips to Wisconsin.

This is my team but figured it was unique enough to show. Picked it up on vacation.

I really liked the colors and overall look. It's a Jamaican lion and colors with Cubs logo. Otherwise used to have a Brewers shirt and always borrow a friends when we go to a game.

Interesting replies. I enjoyed reading them. I want to expand my baseball collection beyond jerseys and hats.

The Houston Astros will have themselves some Texas Rangers problems in a four-game set here in Houston. Two night games followed by two day games. Astros are playing for pride and maybe playing spoiler to the Rangers' AL West hopes. Other than that, I'm expecting either a Rangers' sweep or the Rangers taking the series. Only way I see Houston winning ANYTHING is if Texas somehow gets bored and LET us win. Other than that, it's time to start up the weekend series. Here are a few more games this weekend:

* Minnesota at Chicago White Sox (doubleheader for Friday)
* San Diego at Cincinnati
* Philadelphia at Washington
* Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Cleveland
* Detroit at New York Yankees
* New York Mets at Arizona Diamondbacks
* Tampa Bay at Los Angeles Dodgers
* Baltimore at San Francisco

There are many other games, but these are just a few of the many weekend series games this weekend. Enjoy your baseball and good luck to all of your team(s).

Lucky for us, we have our best pitchers taking the mound for the series. Garza is going against Bedard in game 1.

Rios traded to Texas. Profar should be sent down as he really has no value with no position..... again.

Dodgers/Rays this weekend. I don't expect much from the series as far as some are "OMG WORLD SERIES PREVIEW?!" but it should still be a good one. David Price matches up against Chris Capuano tonight so here's me hoping that the Dodgers don't get murdered.

Hanley Ramirez is said to be possibly available as a pinch-hitter tonight. This whole 24-man roster the Dodgers have played with this week has been brutal, but luckily (emphasis on luck, especially with the injury to Miller after two pitches ruining the series for the Cards) it's resulted in 3 out of 4 games being wins.

Greinke and Kershaw will start on Saturday and Sunday (respectively), so that bodes well as far as pitching matchups. This weekend also marks James Loney's return to Dodger Stadium, so I'll be hoping that this old friend will go back to his old ways (weak pop outs to left).

Rios traded to Texas. Profar should be sent down as he really has no value with no position..... again.

Not really. Profar has started every game in August except for one. And he has gotten a hit in each of those games (including a homerun against Oakland and a 2-hit night against the Angels earlier this week). He started at third tonight.

Profar adds a bit of flexibility in the infield. He can be used when one of the primary infielders needs a day off. He can play all of the infield positions other than first. If anyone gets sent down, it will probably be Joey Butler. Alex Rios is more than likely going to be the main rightfielder, with Engel Beltre as a secondary corner outfielder when Rios or David Murphy need a day off.

Elsewhere, Texas isn't getting much help from Toronto. Jed Lowrie is a triple away from the cycle and Josh Reddick has 3 homers, as the A's lead 12-3.

Back to back to back doubles with 2 out in the 5th to take the lead. We need this win...but the 6th isn't starting so well with a single and a hit batter. :ouch:

Exciting one in Houston...Texas has the bases loaded in the 8th, and the go-ahead run was just walked in. It's been a good back-and-forth game.

Elsewhere, Miguel Cabrera hit a game-tying homerun against Mariano Rivera. A-Fraud was greeted with both cheers and boos, but those cheers went away when he went 0-4 with 3 strikeouts.

EDIT: Hey guys, I just solved the Biogenesis mess!

Not enough to win. Texas went on a scoring rush and ended up beating us 9-5. So the Astros remain Texas' chew toy. My Astros are stuck on 37 runs and are now 37-77, and we're now 28 games out of 1st Place in the AL West. The moment I first checked into the game, the Astros hit a homer to go up... 4-3 I believe. So once again, the woeful 2013 Houston Astros failed again. If only rebuilding were faster. Most people were probably watching the Texans anyways as Houston's professional baseball team habitually fail.

Elsewhere...
* Detroit saved their backsides from losing in New York City with a two-run jack to tie 3-3 in the 9th inning. Didn't matter- Yankees won in walk-off fashion with a base hit in the 10th. 4-3, Yanks in 10(?) innings.

* Miami got blanked in Atlanta. It was a 5-0 victory as the Atlanta Braves won their 14th straight game. Miami has been shut out the most times of any MLB team this season with 14 shutout losses. Misery loves company, so I'm glad Miami lost just so we don't become the only woeful story of the season.

* The bottom fell out in Toronto as it was a 14-6 victory for Oakland. Toronto had themselves some Oakland Athletic problems, and didn't do too well solving them. Five homers and 14 runs are both season best for the boys in green and gold.

* 3-0 in St. Louis as the Chicago Cubs blanked the St. Louis Cardinals.

Congrats to all other winners.

Oakland just lost to Toronto 5-4. A Texas win tonight will give them the lead in the AL West.

It's Derek Holland (9-6, 3.02 ERA) against Brad Peacock (1-4, 7.25 ERA) in game 2. Hope Texas can pull out a win tonight.

Rangers come from behind again to defeat the Astros again 5-4. Alex Rios went 2-3 with a triple, 1 RBI, 1 R, and a BB in his Rangers debut. AJ Pierzynski and Elvis Andrus went yard. Joe Nathan secured save #34.

And with the Oakland loss today, the Rangers are now in sole possesion of the AL West lead.

Astros will NOT be winning the AL West any time... or even ever. I just saw the highlight of tonight's finish. Not deep enough to get a 2-run walk-off jack. So it's back to the same m:censored:f:censored:ing result- Astros fail. Houston better get its s:censored: together with the final two games of this series. We're done in the 2013 AL West race unless epic collapses by LAA, TEX, SEA, and OAK happens while the Astros finally learn to play winning baseball. It's all about pride and rebuilding from this point forward in AL West matches.

F:censored:ing shame the Astros are. Downward spiral continues...

Here's another question for you guys...

What do you think are the most beautiful ballparks around MLB?

I love Rangers Ballpark, but I'm a bit biased. I have 4 other favorites aside from Rangers Ballpark.
