They should just give everyone Steroids, make the fences 500 feet away, and install skee ball traps in home run territory to up the score.

Jurickson Profar, widely regarded as the top prospect in baseball, just hit a 2-run shot to the left field corner to make it a 6-2 Texas lead. Tommy Milone was just pulled.

Speaking of Profar, guess what his very first MLB hit was? If you guessed homerun, you're right...last Seotember against the Indians.

He's not a prospect anymore.

I can't wait until we have mechanical armed pitchers like in Deus Ex.

Colby Lewis needs surgery to remove bone spurs from his right hip...in other words, he's done for the season. That hurts. :(

Benches just cleared in Washington...Braves P Julio Teheran beaned Bryce Harper in the 5th inning. Don't know anything else, I just got it as a ScoreCenter notification.

The Tribe dumped another one to the Tigers. It was a battle of the Justins. Detroits Justin Verlander out dueled Clevelands Justin Masterson.

5-1 Tribe loses .... 0 for 2 in this 4 game set. :grumpy: C'mon Tribe, get with it, at least lets split this series. 💡

Didn't bean little baby Bryce....hit him in the leg after he hit a homer and admired it a bit too much in the previous at bat. Was funny watching him run his mouth with Julio just stone cold staring him down and saying "what you going to do about it?". Mad respect for Julio tonight...big time stuff from him.

Offensive shootout in Houston, but we failed. Boston won 15-10 tonight here in Houston. So tomorrow's game is another good old Rubber Game to determine who takes this series.

Rangers defeat the Angels 8-3 to take the series. Yu Darvish started off the game by allowing back-to-back homeruns, but settled down and pitched 7 innings. The Rangers lit up the Angels for 5 runs in the last 2 innings (1 in the 8th, 4 in the 9th). Elsewhere, the Rangers stole 6 bases tonight, 3 of which were stolen by Leonys Martin.

Elsewhere, Cincinatti was able to beat Oakland 3-1. With the Oakland loss and the Rangers win, the Rangers are now 1 game out of first!

You know things are going badly when you score 10 and still lose.

In other news, the Blue Jays have won 3 in a row. Run that to another 11 game winning streak and they will be back above .500.

MLB Network currently has the A's/Reds game on. Reds beating Oakland 5-2 heading to the 5th...and Bartolo Colon was lit up, it looks like. That's surprising.

Alex Rodriguez is stepping into the batters box, but not for a game- he's appealing his 211-game suspension. Any chance he wins his appeal?

Define win. If you mean will he get it eliminated? Not a chance unless there's a work stoppage coming. If you mean will it be reduced its possible.

Think Oakland might be in a small slump at the moment. Hope they pull out of it soon. They're not struggling for runs though, their pitching is just giving up too many.

Harvey took 33 starts but got his first career complete game (and also, first shutout) in a 5-0 victory over Colorado.

They're coming here over the weekend (I'll be at the game on Saturday). REALLY glad he won't be pitching during that series...

^

Just in, the Tribe dropped a 3rd straight against the Tigers. Lost it in the bottom of the 14th, 6-5. This is starting to hurt.

Boston took the series with a 7-5 win over my Astros here in Houston. We may likely get swept by the Texas Rangers in our four-game set starting on Thursday unless we get a few lucky wins. Yep. My Astros are going to have some Rangers problems in this four-game weekend series in the KM964 vs. JohnBM01 Special. All us Astros can do is play spoiler against the other AL West teams.

Congratulations to everybody who DIDN'T fail today or tonight.

Just 🤬 gave up the game because Gibson takes out a great reliever who gave up 2 runs on the first pitch he threw, then replaces him with a rookie who promptly give up 2 more runs. Should have left Harris in there. Now we're gonna lose the 🤬 game. Way to go Gibby.

Rangers currently beating the Angels 7-2 in the top of the 7th. The offense has just been ROLLING since getting swept by Cleveland. In that stretch, they're 8-1 and have scored 61 runs, including the 7 they've put up tonight.

Alexi Ogando didn't go deep into the ballgame again, but did a bit better, only allowing 2 runs on a Mike Trout homerun. I still think he needs to go back to the bullpen when Matt Harrison comes back in about 2 weeks.

If Texas wins, there will be a tie atop the AL West. From here, it's on to Houston for 4. Though, JohnBM01, both teams are off tomorrow. I hate off days, but at least I'll have a preseason NFL game to watch. Oakland also has the day off tomorrow, and will begin a series in Toronto on Friday night. Time to hop on the Jays bandwagon...

Win!

Ended the game with our 6th double play of the night, a new team record in a single game. Prado was on fire tonight, came up with a single to score the winning runs in the 8th. He was a triple shy of the cycle. Hopefully we keep up these winning ways though the weekend. Goldschmidt bobble head night on Saturday. :dopey:

^^^ Best play of the night.
