Or they just aren't doing one? Seems much more likely instead of assuming they aren't because Williams did.

Just basing it off the sidepods, that looks like it could be great. Almost like the old West McLarens. 👍

Although having said that, it is conceivable that they may have some kind of deal in place that is not a title sponsorship, with a plan to make it a title sponsorship in the near future. Ron Dennis and McLaren practically invented the tight relationship between teams and sponsors, so I cannot imagine that Dennis would tolerate an inconsistent arrangement.

Not necessarily. There was some speculation that they could rotate their brands from race to race. XPERIA and the PS4 were both mentioned as possible products. But the rules for liveries state that both cars must carry the same design, and that major changes require approval from the FIA. Given that Dennis has said they will start the season without a title sponsor and that the team was not willing to do a short-term deal, I doubt we will actually see a name appear on the car this weekend, although the livery will probably remain the same throughout the season.

Many have been saying that for a couple months now...if so then why hasn't Ron said anything yet and rather wait until China or Bahrain, with such a big company/sponsor. Doesn't make any sense at all, they are arguably bigger than Vodafone so...

No, that needs to be black, not blue. The blue and red makes me think if the ING Renault designs, with too many dominant colours competing for space.

I really like the design but agree it needs a little color. Just make the "Mobil 1" the colors they use in the real logo. I think the car itself should stay the color as it is.

The only way I can see that working is if they swapped the black and silver around, and then used the red and blue for the Mobil 1 logo on the now-silver sidepod.

True, I can see the sidepod conflicting with the black box containing the "1" in the logo. Or maybe they can add the pegasus. That would be awesome.

I can see the Honda logo fitting nicely with that next year, black-red-silver. For now I'm not sure, Sony can come out of anything as a white word so that's plausible on any livery.

All I know from the look of the sidepods is that if the rest of the car's in that scheme then it's going to be rather tasty.

It's the front wing that needs work - it's very plain, and it doesn't really connect with anything. It would look better in silver, with a red McLaren logo.
