TGS will show actual gameplay..(In some form) interface screens and release date.

2 months....be patient.:P

Please do not post things like this if you don't have actual info. The *@&tstorm that follows every major gaming/auto conference where we get no info because everyone came to expect it after 10,000 posts were made here that we'll get info is no fun.

That's similar to my original concern. Although perhaps I'll take the original recommendation and avoid the forum if I don't want to be stirred. :/

(Japanese people have holidays too?!)

I'm not sure about that.. :sly: regarding to GT1:

KY: It took five years. In those five years, we could not see the end. I would wake up at work, go to sleep at work. It was getting cold, so I knew it must be winter. I estimate I was home only four days a year.
But yes, you're probably closer to the truth 👍

I'm not coming to the forums until I see news on the front page.

False.

Just keep doing what you're doing. As unfortunate as it is, I can't really contribute anything as of late. As I stated , we won't get news until we get news.

added: Personally, I really don't feel encouraged when I haven't any resources.

I tend to fly off the handle...pretty far off the handle.

Why do I find that doubtful?

Your reasoning for why there is no realease date and how people shouldn't get worked up over it is sound. But saying to shut down the forum is a bit over the top, and you are ironically getting worked up over people speculating about a game.

I am not quite sure why you are disrupting the thread if you don't want to see/hear any of the speculation or discussion until we have solid news.

I agree with this article. it's just ridicules how they're still keeping secrets from us!! maybe KY finds it fun to see the audience suffering and w8ing for his game. The game should have been released already, they can fix bugs with online updates!! why let us wait all these years then.

And for those people who's being comfortable saying " let the game take it's time ", Someday you'll all know how fool you are when the game takes longer and longer to release. I wouldn't be shocked if they don't announce release b4 2010.

i dont know why most fans of the series are complaining about a release date. i know you want your hands on the game as much as i do but
look at gta4 everyone was hyped the game was comming out soon then rockstar delayed it a year everyone was pissed but the end result after waiting was what made the time worth while.
you can complain and moan all you want about gt5's release date and why it hasnt been released yet. but in the end i think it will be worth waiting as long as the developer wants us to.

GTAIV wasnt delayed a whole year, it was first announced to come out in October and got pushed back to April. And i and a lot of other people think, it wasn really worth it, but not because it took them so long, i wouldve rather waited longer for a game with more stuff in it, GTAIV was so bland compared to San Andreas...

It is still a lot of fun though. Especially with the good graphics.:dopey:

No doubt about the graphics and physics.^^

But it perfectly shows why its sometimes better to take your time, you also cant patch everything.

Seems to be a common theme on most of the message boards as well. Personally, PD could take 3 more years on it, and I'd be fine so long as the product reflected that time and hard work.

Kids need to take their meds, a few deep breathes, and RELAX. Today's news is the same as yesterdays; IT'S STILL COMING! Relax, unplug from the keyboard for a few days, and quite whining. It'll be here soon. Jesus!

Well not really, I have always said there is so much you can do to a game on related hardware, and as time goes on, lets say 3 years we will expect alot more.

same case with duke nukem which will never launch but I have faith in Polyphony as they wont bludge and play WOW instead of make this great game.

You know, I think we should get back to what the article is talking about. Is it in PDs interest to release info for their product or not. I dont know if the answer can come from this forum, for as diverse a group as we are here, we are all rabid GT fans. I would have to think that no matter how many of us there are we are a small percentage of the overall sales base for hte game. I hate not getting info. I dont see what harm can be done by divulging a track or two, or to give a smatering of cars, because as I said, the people following the GT5 news is the small percentage.
I must also disagree with the people saying to take all the time needed to finish the game. The game will never be done. Graphics tech improves every day. Physics engines are allways getting better and faster. There are thousands of featchers that can be added. At some point the game should be given to its fans. Telling us is "done" and "can be released anytime" ouch.

end rant

That's what is bothering me. Kaz saying that the game is done and they could release it at any time. That's why I want it now and I am not happy about waiting. If he had said "we need another six months to finish it" I'd be happy to wait six months.

It's a video game. It's not like your life depends on having it right now.

Or does it?

Anyway, as has been stated numerous times before, I believe that a general release target will be announced at TGS. This is just speculation however, not official or confirmed by any means. There's still a chance PD could show nothing at TGS.

TGS is a part of GT and viceversa, they complete eachother. IMHO no PD exhibition at this important event could be a disaster

think of it like this

we released the game in 2008 we didnt have time to model porsche and lamborghini cars soo maybe in gran turismo 6

or

we released the game in 2010 we got porsche and lamborghini's in the game..

I'd love to work for you, I'd keep on saying my work isn't quite ready yet as I'm perfecting it.:)

See the problem now which PD face is this:

People have waited so long for the game now they will be expecting something truly outstanding, a product which will move the game on.

PD after see the Forza 3 video must be either really confident about their product and will announce the release of it before Christmas and ideally in September so we have enough copies of the games and PS3's to cope with the (huge) rush.

If GT5 does not come out in time for Christmas then PD will become a laughing stock if the game does not wipe the floor with Forza 3 in 2010.

The longer they leave it the higher our expectations rise and I'm not sure weather or not PD can meet them if they keep us waiting and waiting...........

We don't need to moan and groan like some people. Hell!!! we are still having a blast playing GT4 here's proof.

If this is true...well, I'll refrain myself for the time being but if this is announced as such, expect a response with various letters and numbers. :sly:
