I'm just looking forward to driving the HSV, that's all. Can't believe so many of you got your hopes up, they're not gonna be able to work any magic in the sound when they're focusing development on GT6, just think about it. it could sound like a damn Prius for all I care, I just want to throw it around the track.

What if I told you GT5 Premium cars will more than likely move to GT6? You can even say that these three cars are GT6 cars scaled down for GT5.

Which could mean they will retain the same sound clips for GT6? LOL.

I think a line exists between "perfect recreation of sound" and "copy-pasting the sounds from a car that sounds nothing alike in real life or in the game."

Yes. If PD completely changed how they record sounds while simultaneously somehow not doing so in that video, then I'm sure the car will sound much like it does in real life.

Never say never. And regardless of how it sounds, it's still a purchase for me. A dollar isn't going to break my pockets.

this. pure laziness on the part of PD, they didn't even bother just said oh we already have a Honda GT500 car they must sound the same right? :banghead:

I think your hopes were way too high going into this.

I think it's reasonable to expect a Driving Simulator to provide an accurate representation of a car's exhaust note, is it not?
I've just gotten to demo the Subaru after an hour of waiting for the update to install. It sounds better than the Toyota twins, but it sounds more, for lack of a better word, airy. But still, I'm excited to buy it and try it out tomorrow.

50 gigs of space.

Copypasta car sounds.

Insert competitor game here.

In all seriousness though, why am I finding it so funny that the HSV-010 has a copypasta sound file of the GTbyCitroen? (The car can be demoed in the Honda dealer.)

My hopes where that this was a GT6 car with an early release, now my hopes are it isn't!! Lol!

My hopes? I never intended on buying it in the first place (I was always far more interested in the GT-R), so my hopes were nothing at all. One could make the argument that for all the people in this thread claiming that it was a sound purchase (trollololol) before it was heard that there should have been some expectation for attention to detail, but, again, I never really intended to buy it.

But for PD to still match my complete lack of hope is just as entertaining as the people rushing to defend the complete lack of effort they put into it, be it with "your expectations were too high" when many people in this thread didn't expect anything or with "well, you can't expect more than you got" when they just didn't care from what we've seen.

If I'm honest, I wasn't expecting Perfect sound recreation. I kinda figured that wasn't gonna happen given we never get it from PD and GT6 is supposedly the main focus. So anymore cars they bring to GT5 (IF they do that is), I think its safe not to expect it.

Besides, that just leaves room for me to once again demonstrate the desired result many of us want :sly:

Those complaining about it is just as entertaining to those defending it to be quite honest. I just got my bowl of popcorn... pressing F5 constantly to giggle. You knew what to expect.

I for one was expecting an exhaust that actually sounded close to the real life counter part... But its so far off.. If they are just doing copy paste, why not copy paste that sample from the F10? At least sounds closer than what they've got... Yes, we shouldnt have expected much, but when they make a screw up as major as they did when there is other samples they could have used to be closer to the real life one... Everything else in game (Stock) at least has some connection to the real life counter part in terms of sound, why should the HSV be any different?

Besides the sound, anyone notice that at the same specs as the NSX- 1100kg/493hp- the HSV has a higher PP value? I wonder if this means the HSV has more downforce? I'm interested in seeing the 'downforce points' the car receives compared to the other newer Super GT's.

The sounds have always been disappointing, so there's not much worth in bringing that point up. Also I'm not defending anything, it just surprised me how a lot of people seemed to have knowingly (at least some people) set themselves up for a fall. I mean, come on, it's GT sound. It's like expecting the next Elder Scrolls to have a revolutionary combat system only to anger its fans by not delivering. Developers all have their quirks and flaws.

Ok, so now that the PS Store is back up, how do we even buy this thing? Can't find it anywhere!

Sounds as if he and many others are better off not bother with GT ever again. Its kinda pointless to keep hoping for stuff knowing the history of never getting them.

It's just their plain lack of knowledge of their own content, the Zonda R's sound sample would've been surprisingly close to the real car and would've made it more enjoiable. They just used the ZR-1 Racing Exhaust sound sample on this car wich wouldn't be a bad thing on a Ferrari with a racing exhaust but in this car is plain blasphemy! Come on, how can you do this to the best sounding current generation race car in the planet!?
