We are talking about the DLC cars, so I fail to see how discussing the sounds of them is off topic.

The people defending PD are hilarious. I can't believe you guys are truly happy to just sit there and resign yourself to sound always being crap and therefore it's our fault when we expect them to get better. Pathetic.

Except the engine is lower and suspension is set up to be more conservative, not "tail happy" like the 86. According to the crawler in the demo.

The engine is not mounted lower in the Subaru than it is in the Toyota. You are reading it wrong, remember that Subaru is responsible for the engineering of the car and Toyota utilizes the platform which Subaru developed. It is true that the suspension is different but that does not explain the sound difference. Both cars sound the same in real life so I'm afraid that there is some kind of manufacturer license tied to how the cars are allowed to sound in the game, thus Toyota and Subaru cannot sound the same in the game. That also explains why the Scion FR-S sounds like the GT 86, after all it's a Toyota brand similar to Lexus and the FR-S is basically a rebadged GT 86 with some minor cosmetic differences whereas the Subaru BRZ acts more as a counterpart.

Just saw the HSV clip and well, wow.
How did they manage to get it so wrong and still decide that it was good enough to ask people to spend real cash on?! If this is the best they can come up with right now I don't think GT6 or better hardware will cure the problems. It's the rather lethargic "that will do" attitude of the programming team that needs to be fixed, and quickly. I have been very critical of PD's working practices in the past, and been blasted by all the defenders for it, but this really does show that they truly cannot be bothered anymore, or don't care about either the game or their customers.

The Aventador got the V10 samples from the other lambos in GT5 (same like the murcielago, both did not get their proper V12 samples from real life).

I'd rather pay for just what it is than even more inconsistency. I'm sorry but sometime I wonder if PD is a bunch of douches which happen to know how to create an interactive showroom of cars. I'd so raise my voice if I worked for them because no one seems to do that while Yamauchi travels the globe like some automotive politician.

I don't care if a car sounds as flatulent as a Ford GT40. If it looks nice, is fun, & races competitively, I'll drive it.


Who cares about sound? Cars don't sound like music. Cars aren't Holly Drummond. Cars aren't Mozart's creation. Cars are cars! I don't care if my car is as loud as an LMP car, or as quiet as an Audi R8 e-tron.

Some people like to think of GT as an encyclopaedia of cars. Kaz himself thinks this too I think.

If an encyclopaedia is wrong it is not an encyclopaedia.

Some people like to think its a driving sim.
A simulator simulates all aspects of the environment it's attempting to simulate.
Including the sound.

You may not like the sounds of cars at all.
Many do.

The store will update when it usually does unless something unusual occurs, period. Unless you're new to the world of PlayStation Network, you yourself should have a general idea of when your particular region of the planet has its PSN Store updates. Later this afternoon.
