Doog did. They're WAY different.

Indeed I did. I've also just driven the FR-S. Here's my comparison:

Handling: The BRZ is a very neutral, well balanced car to drive. It rarely under or oversteers, but neither of these aren't possible. The BRZ does oversteer at times, but only upon exiting the corner when the power comes on late into the RPMs, whereas the FR-S oversteers earlier on in the game, and is easier to maintain slides in. Look at it this way: the FR-S starts sliding, and keeps it up, whereas the BRZ's oversteer is usually a quick kick of the tail at the end of the corner.

Acceleration/Sound: The BRZ sounds much different than the Toyotas. The FR-S has a distinct, higher-pitched, Boxer rumble. The BRZ on the other hand does not have that Boxer rumble; it sounds much more akin to a normal four cylinder, though I think the sound sample was taken from an Impreza, as you can actually hear turbo-spool in high RPMs, and we all know the BRZ is naturally aspirated. I assume it's a lack of effort on PD's part.

But overall, I found the BRZ to be different enough to warrant the purchase price, and it really is different from the Toyota twins.

Can someone in America please create a room dedicated to the BRZ, GT 86 and FR-S? I'd really like to cruise with the new Subaru but it's hard to find an owner when there are no dedicated rooms...

I would say the BRZ sounds more like a boxer than the Toyotas.

It doesn't even sound like a car. Seriously, they could've at least used one of the newer sound sample introduced in GT5, but no, they took one that already annoyed me in GT4.

pd really messed up the sound in the hsv-010.the real car sound like a f1 car.the hsv in gt5 sounds like a v6 volkswagen

*Kaz searching for sound*

*Finds Vaccum.wmv*

*Google Translate says "Race Car Sound"*

yup, as usual, pretty disapointing sound.... the real one is like a raw beasty scream!

So much time to model the car (months), and less than 1 minute to put a generic sound to it.... what a shame!

Its ok, there's always me to correct the problem ;)

Well i haven't gotten a chance to drive them yet.

But about the gt-r a few of my friends have said there is something really wrong with the car. They have said any time you hit the brakes (No matter the pressure you hit them) going into a turn the car spins out. You could think to adjust the front lsd to correct this but you can't adjust it. I will try it in about a hour after the season premier of comedy central's Brickleberry. Soppost to be really funny. Daniel Toshiba plays a couple voices and i love to Tosh.O so i think i will like it

That just sounds like a GT-R. They pretty much all do that, although I don't seem to remember swearing at the old Nürburgring racer as much as the others in the little while I drove it.

Have you tried the new one yet?

But I have never had that problem. They said it is un-controllable. And normally I never hear them exaggerate things like that. I guess I'll just have to get on right after the show and try it myself

The BR-Z feels the same as the Scion to me. 8/10ths slower around the 'Ring stock which is nothing, and plus my BR-Z is down 5 hp from my FR-S. They have the exact same suspension specs in the game too. It's pretty well known that the actual cars have slightly different suspension settings, the Scion is supposed to be more twitchy. I will try the Scion again later but I think the differences are just cosmetic.

Haven't picked up the latest DLC yet, so no. I'm just comparing your description of what they said with my experience with the other GT-Rs. But I'm just the one weirdo who finds seemingly all of the GT-Rs to be incredibly difficult and frustrating to drive, so you probably shouldn't pay any attention to me. :)

I noticed this as well. I didn't drive it too much yet, but enough to encounter this problem. I was thinking maybe adjusting the brake balance might make this go away, but I'll guarantee I've never had this with any of the other R-35s.

About the new N24 GTR, it is indeed very unique car, for a start, it has unique sound ( try watch a replay ), then the suspension, most cars in GT5 have a very generic wheel alignment. This one has this :
Spring Rate F:19.4 kgf/mm R:13.3kgf/mm
Camber F:2.5 R:2.0
Toe : F:-1.00 R:0.50

The toe setting might be the reason why it has that very unique handling when braking and around corner, personally I love it, it has very sharp turn in, nice balance, and the torque split system is a lot more rear bias than any other R35 GTR, it feels like more an FR than AWD car. Try to launch with comfort tires, the rear tires will leave a long black tire marks :D

I did some run offline, tire wear on, comfort soft tires at Twin Ring Motegi Full Road Course, no oil change, stock everything straight from dealership, BB 9/6, no ABS, no other aids, I got 2:15.884 with a rather relaxed run. Comfort soft tire now have a long life, 5 laps only about 10% tire wear :dopey: and spec racing with the car would be an awesome experience.

Rear camber 20? You mean 2.0 don't you?
