Hi guys, welcome to the first fortnight of the driving skill competition. This is a fortnightly competition where driving skill is everything. Each week a stock car and track is chosen the car CANNOT be tuned or modified in anyway as to give an advantage over others.

This week is the TVR Tamora at the infamous nordschiefle at nurburgring and tyre choice is SPORTS HARD. All aids are to be turned off except ABS on 1. Transmission choice is down to you.

CAR MUST BE ACCESSED VIA ARCADE AND NOT YOUR OWN CAR.

Brake balance can only be adjusted if you are driving with ABS off, if you are using ABS on 1 you must keep the default brake balance.

This is an offline competition and you can do anytime, just choose the car through arcade mode then select the track. Everybody Is free to enter.

Please send in your best lap time stating whether you used ds3 or wheel (lap must not have gone red).

Its time to show your skill and race! Good luck everyone thanks for the support! Any questions just PM me and i'll get back to you ASAP! Enjoy!

When sending your times in please could you use the following format:

Driver: GTP name/PSN name
Time:
Transmission: Auto/Manual (if manual state whether clutch used)
Controller: DS3/wheel
ABS:
Brake Balance: Front/Rear (only applicable if ABS is off)

Also when sending in a new time (your updated time), please state it in a new post rather than editing a previous post.

The leaderboard can be viewed by clicking the link below:

After the huge success of the constant running WDSC (weekly driving skill competition) it would be great to get as many people racing this fortnight. So get out on the ring and have fun!

This FDSC runs alongside the WDSC, any questions feel free to PM and I will respond ASAP!

I'll see how much time I have to put into this. It's a long track though so will be difficult, and probably quite frustrating! :)

Wow good time! I'll be happy if I can break 8 minutes.

And i'm looking forward to it nj72!

please bare in mind that as this event is spread over 2 weeks i will be updating this one less frequently than the wdsc.

I will endeavour to update it as often as time permits, but please be patient!

EDIT:

On my photo run I did a fairly clean run of 7:50.188, but there is still plenty of time to be gained as I dipped 2 wheels in to sand traps on 2 occasions and missed at least a third of all the apex's...

Just gonna do some photos now 👍

Am I doing it right?

Sorry, I was typing too fast. :)

I took 3 laps just now, not going full steam and made a few mistakes. Clocked in on 7:56.736. So you should not have any problem going bellow 8 minutes

Nice time, my test lap was 8:40 lol, span a few times, but I really love the way you can power it out of the corners while gently correcting oversteer, its heavenly in my books.

Yeah, it´s a good handeling car.
My advice: Just try to stay on the road in the beginning just to learn the track and the car handeling. :)

The thing that gets me about the TVR is the gear ratios... when you look at the speedo and you're doing over 70 in 2nd you think they're far too long, but the car has the right amount of power to use it properly. It's just a shame that when they designed the interior the designer puked in it :ill:

It is a disgusting interior, great looking in reflex purple though! Really long gear ratios like the f40

This is with a 2.5-3 second off moment and gains left all around the track, only tried 2 laps. Handles quite nicely really, though avoiding interior view. I'll post a better time when I have another chance

EDIT: Make that a 7:51.157 now, done for the night.

Great time, seems like everybody is breaking 8 minutes quite easily! 👍

Well I broke it first time I've ever driven the car so I suspect we may be looking in the low 7:40's at this rate. Nice little track car combo.

Cheers, I would be aiming to breaking 7:50 but i'll see how that pans out when I go on tomorrow!

Also dont forget about week 5 of the WDSC, R8 @ GVS on SH!

Let me know if filled the submission correctly. :)
Fun car, really nice on corner exit, still have some room to go but would require more time.

Looks like we even get lower than that :)
