why are you guys after 0 mile cars all the time? do you buy them, and just keep them in your garage, so that they remain 0 miles?

just wondering, as whenever i buy a car, i'd like to drive it.

It's considered more valuable to the trader/buyer boosting their collection. Some traders want to actually have all the cars in their garage 0/0 as a sign of great achievement.

Also some just want to be the first to "own" to tune and/or drive the car themselves. Whatever they do after it's traded is entirely up to them. I do drive my cars and I do tune some of them.

Which is the faster car to use in Tokio Bay (kart)? I used a Lotus Elise 111R and managed to run in 3:13:34 at the end of the race. Anyone lower?

The OCD has me jumping up and down in joy for those, urm no.

Not turned my PS3 on in a couple of days but will do tonight and do these :D

More like old "slow" classics.

Plymouth Superbird '70
Mercury Cougar XR-7 '67
Pontiac Tempest Le Mans GTO '64
Plymouth Cuda 440 Six Pack '71
Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 '70
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray L46 350 (C3) '69
Dodge Charger 440 RR/T '70
Dodge Charger Super Bee 426 Hemi '71
Chevrolet Corvette Coupe (C2) '63
Shelby GT350R '65
Buick Special
All zero miles of course.

Sure, they are slow now, but back in the day these cars were the ****. I almost guarantee you pull into a parking lot with a '65 Mustang and you'll get more compliments than with a Lambo.

That's if it the car is working to get you there. It's not like the movies, old cars are a pain in the butt.

Of course when you do have your "good days", it is indeed 10x better than a Lambo. Unless it's a Countach or a Miura but my guess is they're having the same troubles. :banghead:

I'm now at about 44 cars left to have and 2 are in the list, that is one of the goals of the OCD not?

Alfa Romeo Spider 1600 Duetto '66
Lotus Europa Special '71

Good thing I had some spare change, buying all the oldies as we speak. :P

using the vw stage2 r32 on the compact seasonal....yeah its a standard car but its fun. gotta find a good premium car to use for the rest of the compact races....any suggestions?

For me, it's the best OCD selection, ever!
I will buy them all, no matter if I already own them. To have these classics with 0 miles in my garage and driving them in a "new" condition is just perfect.

...I only wish, they were premium. :)

That's what I did, I mean half-priced Km 0 classics? Not a single reason to not buy them. Just need to sell the heavy mileage dupes now.

Totally agree. I am discarding all my UCD ones, in favor of these new shiny OCD ones.

Did anyone else notice, that some of the new 0km cars have different(higher yay) peak RPM than some of the UCD ones? i.e BMW LMR

Gonna give the Enzo a rest for about a day, while I drive these formidable ladybugs around.

"No new seasonals? What the hell?"
"No new OCD? What the hell?"
"PD, its been 3 weeks! Can we have an update?"
"They are so lazy at PD!"

"URGH, new seasonal is bland."
"Great, the OCD is updated to cars that I don't need!"
"I just want to race fully spec'd up race cars, not ROAD cars..."
"I used a fully spec'd race car and it was too easy, no race at all!"

My faith in humanity has nowhere to turn...

Mods should just renamed this who section to "GT5 complaining about events"

Looking forward to running these events, I've got a few compacts gathering virtual dust I'd love to use. Oddly enough, yesterday I was just thinking that it was a shame there was no high-payout seasonal for these cars in stock .form.

You're right. I'm the only person in the world who likes to race in a race car.
Thank you for the insight. I'll stop playing the game and use the DVD as a coaster.
I am prompted to ask a questoon though... if gt5 is the wrong game for "race cars," why are there any at all in the game.
I suggest you contact the development team and share your wizdom so in the next update they can do the right thing and eliminate all the race cars from every aspect of the game.
The internet wouldn't be complete without trolls.

Indeed. And considering you are 13 posts in, I say you are the very definition of it. Perhaps I am speaking to a Fishhunter.

Oh, and for your knowledge, GT5 is on a Blu Ray.

Of course you would. Although I expect that some gold diggers would venture by.

This is GTPlanet. World's largest Gran Turismo fan website that also doubles as one of the net's largest fishing ponds.

Then it must be time for Skynet to take over ... Well said my friend.

👍

I just want to get the prizes for the Time and Drift trials before PD shuts them down, but I can't log in to PSN. Might not be able to, thanks to the cheaters.

I can't wait to try these out tonight. These races really appeal more to me than a lot of others. I think the fun aspect last long, IMHO. The Super GT seasonal was fun the first couple of times that I done it, but these, the muscle car, and the other light weight seasonal we had, all seem to last longer (fun wise) than others. I think the more possibilities, the more lasting fun there is in doing the seasonals over and over.

I did a couple last night in the Audi TT. It's just short enough. I had to detune it a little from where it was. I had added exhaust and chip and a few other goodies, but not everything ;)

Now to try it with the Alpine.

Man, about time. I'm more excited about the time and drift trials than anything else. Big money from those events. :D

I'm using the FT-86 concept for the Compact car events, it's the first car I came across in my Garage that I haven't used elsewhere.

This is setup as a drift car right? The handling is god-awful.
Me too. I thought the handling was alright though. A bit slippery, but fairly well balanced.

It's the tacky interior that's god awful... I hope the real car doesn't have this stupid dash layout when it gets released (as the new Celica I believe).

To be honest I'm not excited about these. But then again... Maybe I can have some fun with the Mini Marcos. 💡

EDIT

OK that was way more fun than I thought. Spent an hour working up a tune for the Grand Valley race. Kept creeping up on it until I had something I knew could just barely win, then improved my driving until I did win. :)

cheaters gonna cheat.

There will always be cheaters, for anything in life you can think of.

And it's still triple payouts. :)

I don't think it's on triple payouts. Maybe double. When it was first doubled, for example in the Super Car Festival the final race was above 600,000 Credits for first. After about maybe 2 weeks it was reduced to a little above 400,000 for first place. No longer triple. They did say it was for a limited time. Just wonder how long double payouts will last.

The race on the Kart track is my new favorite grind race. I don't get into first until the end of the 4th lap maybe 5th lap if I have trouble getting through the traffic. Im using the Nissan mm-R Cup Car thats underpowered so its a little trickier than just blowing through everyone. Gotta make the game fun!!!

Agree! It's really only fun when you challenge yourself. Just blasting through it like most people do is boring.

Well I guess this means PD has settled in at their new offices in Fukuoka. That's good.

Hopefully their new place isn't cursed.
