Well, the Jets have Marty Morhinweg on the staff so that's already set up for disaster.

The Raiders get to deal with him now. Well, the Lions are up 7-0 after the first quarter, so so far, so good.
EDIT: Right after I posted this, Rashean Mathis gets a pick-6 off of Kyle Orton. 14-0 Lions with 13:44 remaining in the second half.

The Raiders have a bye week... there is no way they will lose today.....

Oh.

Regulation solved nothing. So in Overtime, it was the Dallas Cowboys who got the 20-17 win over my Texans. No rest for the weary- since the Texans will embark on two straight Primetime games. The Texans will host the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday night here in Houston for their next game.

Sad state of affairs for Houston. Well, was it win or fail for your boys today?

Congratulations to all other winners today, including the eventual winners of later games including the Bengals at Patriots Sunday Night Football game.

Good win for the G-Men today, had some ball control issues, but kept their composure. Andre Williams is a solid backup and glad I grabbed Beckham Jr. for my fantasy points. I think he has more points than LeSean McCoy already?

Nice to know that the Lions are still masters of the choke. Blow a 14 point lead? Check. Miss every field goal? Check. Allow the Bills to win on a 58 yard field goal? Check. Ever since Hanson retired and Akers left, the kicking game has been a joke. And as usual, it costed us the game.

Well, AnthonyD1993, at least the Detroit Lions aren't the Tennessee Titans, who fell today thanks to a rally consisting of 26 unanswered points by Cleveland in a 29-28 victory in Nashville. Us Texans fans will take it, but it's a sad day if you're a Titans fan.

My brother in law is a Titans fan, but I don't think he will be complaining about this loss since he is in Hawaii right now.

It's official the Jets season is over barring a comeback but since its the Jets there will be no comeback. I guess Geno Smith is headed to the bench. I guess it's time to find a franchise QB yet again.:nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous:

Well the Bengals look better on paper. But it's a prime time game tonight, and they're facing the Pats. Ready to fall flat on our faces tonight. It's the Bengals way...

Congrats Tom Brady for hitting the 50,000 career passing yard mark. After he hit that milestone, he threw a touchdown pass which means that it is 14-0 Patriots with 3:12 left in the first quarter.

I'm clearly not missing anything with this game. I guess I picked a good time to play Grand Theft Auto instead of watch football.

Wonder if the Bengals will ever show up for a big game under Dalton/Marvin Lewis.
Never. They proved it years ago when they lost twice in 2 weeks to the Jets. Bengals can make the playoffs but when they do they will be one and done. Ironic that the Pats are sort of in the same boat.

Seahawks at Redskins TONIGHT!

The NFC is on parade and in vogue tonight. It's NFC West meets NFC East as the Legion of Boom looks to blow up in Washington's faces. Which Washington will win tonight- the defending champion 2-1 birds from the state of Washington, or the 1-3 boys from Washington, D.C. that play in Maryland? We turn 'em loose tonight in Landover, Maryland in prime time.

For you betting folks, SEA is favored by 7.5 with an over/under of 45.5.

There's a story out now that Geno Smith missed a meeting on Saturday night because he lost track of time because of the time difference. I have been a big Geno Smith supporter but I am disappointed by that. Anyway I feel Idzik has done a terrible job putting this team together. I understand that he wasn't putting together a Super Bowl caliber team but I do feel they should be competitive. I also think Idzik may be trying to get rid of Ryan I certainly hope that is not the case but I can't be sure.

The Lions are working out Kickers Matt Prater and Jay Feely. Hopefully, we get Prater since he's a good kicker.

I want to go to the top of that tower with a telescope. Find a good seat right next to the Patriots intern.

Seattle won 27-17 at the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. I was watching all the "Around the Horn" and "Pardon the Interruption" talk on all the penalties and such from that game. Wins don't have to be pretty- just win!

With that said, the new week begins with one of my Texans' only two prime time appearances. In fact, these are back-to-back prime time games. Home against IND this week followed by at PIT on the following Monday Night. Our first AFC South match of the season is us hosting the Colts in an early battle for the AFC South lead. We came off of an overtime loss at Dallas (yay...). The Texans just need better execution.

So far this season... what players and teams do you think are surprises (good or bad)? What players or teams do you think are underrated?

Its Orton time here in Buffalo! 1st in the division!(We win the tiebreaker).

But seriously, hype is getting a little too high here in Buffalo with Orton, he only played one game and its like he's a super bowl champion. And now with the laser pointers' thing too.

The Lions are working out Kickers Matt Prater and Jay Feely. Hopefully, we get Prater since he's a good kicker.

Those kicks that Alex Henery made were god awful, they weren't even close to being decent, they didn't even look good! He cost the Lions the game though. They probably would have won if not for those 3 misses.

There is a three team race to LA, apparently between the Rams, the Chargers and the Raiders, according to NFL sources. The NFL wants a team in LA in the next year to 18 months, and it is an apparent race to first on who gets to move there. Here is how the offers break down:

The Chargers and the Raiders: Both AFC Teams are willing to move since they are close to LA (San Diego actually has a bit of a fan base in LA), but the league is a bit weary on allowing two AFC teams from the same division share a stadium. Thus, Raiders owner Mark Davis recently proposed that the Raiders move to the NFC West to be replaced by a respective team from that division so that the Raiders and the Chargers can co-exist like the Giants and the Jets.

The Rams: An NFC Team wants to move to LA all by itself.
