All I want to hear right now is C'mon Man. That segment absolutely makes the pregame show.

@Omnis have you heard about this, and if so, what are your thoughts on Tannehill possibly being benched?

Oh, yes. It's all the big rage on the Dolphins boards.

My opinion? Tannehill will always leave points on the field. He throws a beautiful football but his throws have no precision whatsoever. Sometimes he'll put it right in the basket, but most of the time he's way off. His accuracy this season has just been atrocious.

Sterling Sharpe hit the nail on the head when he broke down Tannehill film back when Sherman was the head coach. He holds the ball way too long. Why? Probably because he doesn't have the confidence to throw it accurately. And the protection last year was god-awful. But, there's another reason.

Tannehill is a doofus. Nobody on the offense has any game-awareness. I could have told you that before they drafted him. He just has this glazed-over look about him all the time. He is not a field general or a natural leader. Look at what happened to that Aggie program once he left.

I desperately wanted Keuchly on this team and we could've picked up Foles or Wilson later in the draft. Alas, we chose Tannehill out of desperation for a QB and Luke was gone with the next pick. 2012 was the year we could have had our LB corps locked up for the next decade (Keuchly and L. David), and we could have taken our QB later. I loved Wilson coming out because he's such a playmaker, and because my roommates and I beasted with him in NCAA on xbox lol.

I don't think they're going to renew Tannehill's contract. Joe Philbin will be fired after this season, and Steven Ross will suck Jim Harbaugh's black and khaki wiener to get him to come to Miami. Harbaugh will go to Michigan instead and the 'Fins will be stuck with some other schmucky coach until Dennis Hickey and he both get fired another 3-4 years down the line. You know, because our team won't be able to win **** with a squad full of FCS draft picks.

Well, the Jets did better than I though they'd do- especially after the first half.

I actually think the Jets or the Bills are going to win the AFC East.

I actually think the Jets or the Bills are going to win the AFC East.
If the Jets keep imploding the only thing they will win is a high draft pick and Rex Ryan to the unemployment line. The jets are two undisciplined and they make waaaaaaay too many mistakes. Rex is going to have to make some changes if they are going to be respectable much less make the playoffs.

If Rex gets fired, I'd be happy to have him in Miami. He's a great coach.

It's not really Rex's fault that his OC is moron. That's more the Jets' fault for hiring Marty in the first place. And if the Jets really sucked that badly, they would have gotten destroyed by the Bears in the second half. Now if they could get Geno to stop making stupid throws, they might go 8-8 again which says something since the offense has no weapons and the defense is a work in progress.

So last night's match ended 27-19 in favor of the New York Jets losing to the visiting Chicago Bears. I saw a good bit of the first half. I will say this about Jay Cutler- dude has a grenade launcher for an arm. NO problem sending the ball down the field. Only concern is if he can connect those long bombs or keep getting picked off.

Off-topic... did you see that vintage bit of Monday Night Football coverage before the game? I think they showed a little bit of one of the first Monday Night Football games. The great Keith Jackson was on the call for that 1970 game that was shown. Hard to believe MNF has been around since 1970.

Every fan seems to feel like they have to win every last game for a team to make the playoffs. If that's true, then every team with at least one loss (like my Texans) are automatically eliminated. Fact is... while losses are tough, you still have to perform every game. You're going to lose; just don't lose with regularity.

So, now that the third week of the season is over, what are your thoughts on your teams so far?

The Lions certainly seem better than they were a season ago. The offense is a lot better than last year's offense was, and the defense is more or less the same unit. They are the Lions though which was obvious after week 2's embarrassing loss to the Panthers. They might be able to surprise people this year especially since they controlled the Packers game this week. I think that 10 wins might be possible this year for the Lions.

The NFC North is flipped on its head lol. That much is for sure. What do I think of my team?

Sitting at 2-1, I don't have any real expectations for my Texans because I don't really know what we have. I thought 2013 was more of a talented team that just didn't win. Or the 2013 Texans were pathetic if you believe in "you are what your record is." What I love about the 2014 Texans so far is the sort of swagger Bill O'Brien is bringing to the Texans. He's a take-no-crap coach trying to return the Texans to their AFC South winning form. We currently lead the AFC South. Alfred Blue is my favorite rookie on the squad. Even though we have Andre Johnson, I'm very pleased that we have other reliable targets like DeAndre Hopkins and G. Graham. The likes of D.J. Swearinger and Whitney Mercilus have been solid on D. I certainly love the play of Danieal Manning and Johnathan Joseph. Last but not least... him. Yeah, you know who I'm talking about- J.J. Watt. Is there anything this dude CAN'T do? If you're going to pay a dude $100 US Dollars, he'd better be worth every penny, and he'd better perform up to that level. He's done well so far. I only hope he can continue to be a factor.

We get Buffalo this week as former Texan (and former Texans 1st Overall draft pick) Mario Williams returns to the team that drafted him. I have my qualms about this game after the poor performance we shown at the Giants this past Sunday.

At least from me... that's the pulse of Texans Nation. My assessment of the Texans so far.

I do understand that some teams (like the Raiders and Buccaneers, for example) are probably done since the teams are terrible, but a lot of teams are 1-2 after 3 that'll probably go 8-8 at worst this season (the 49ers and Packers come to mind.) I just can't see GB doing worse than 8-8 with Rodgers at the helm, but to be honest, I want them to lose to the Bears just so I can laugh at them this year.

Tomorrow starts week 4 of the season with an NFC East showdown between the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins. I expect both teams to play with a sense of urgency because they are both 1-2 after 3 weeks. On paper, the Redskins have the advantage, but all that matters is the score at the end of the game. I think that this should be a game to watch since it has a chance to be a very physical game that won't be over until the final play.

A new week in the NFL begins tonight. Remember last Thursday's game? Or should I say, pro vs. college exhibition after that 56-14 evisceration of Tampa Bay at Atlanta? Hopefully, tonight's match between the New York Giants at the Washington Redskins will be closer. Or maybe not.

Washington is favored on the line by 3.5 tonight. Good luck to all of your teams this week.

I really wonder what Redskins fans think of the Cousins/RGIII debate. Kirk said that he will give the team back to RGIII, but I wonder if Jay Gruden will have him be the starter instead if he plays like he did last week.

Which last week are we talking about? The week where Cousins played well or last night where Cousins played like poo?

I agree with @Blitz24 Jets are mediocre. But it looks like the whole division is mediocre. Even the Pats look just ok. We'll see how things go the rest of the season.

The last week where he played well. This week is a no-contest terrible performance. Seemed like Kirk spent more time giving the Giants points than giving the Redskins points.

Kirk Cousins tried to do too much. He tried to be a hero, because the skins pass defense was ****ing terrible.

He's still better than RG3 and a hall of fame quarterback.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! As the clock ticks towards the opening kickoffs of the early games, does anyone have last minute thoughts on their teams? I think that the winner of the Lions/Jets game will be the team that can actually make use its offense. Everyone has been talking about how good the defenses are, but if on offense shows up and the other forgets to play football, this game might become a rout for somebody (and that somebody could be either team).

I just hope the Texans can play much better today against Buffalo than what they shown at the Giants last Sunday. While I don't have extreme expectations for the 2014 Texans, I do hope they can play hard and continue to show improvement after the cursed 2013 season.

The Lions beat the Jets with a 24-17 victory. The Chicago Bears suffered a 38-17 defeat to Green Bay, and as a result, the Packers' victory means that the Lions stand alone at the top of the NFC North.

Ok the Jets will officially hit the panic button. I expect Geno Smith will be benched soon for Vick who will have a really good game then look mediocre rest of them.
