The quotable Collins worth.
What did he say now? I missed it since I was probably watching baseball at the time of his quote.

EDIT: Stupid me- I forgot that he is on NBC, not ESPN.

Collinsworth last night referring to a defender who narrowly missed tacking the quarterback.

"You know he was smelling sack".

I'm really off the mark today... I saw that post and then completely thought nothing of it.

The NFC South is on parade tonight as we start a new week of NFL action. It will be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Atlanta Falcons. Yep. Bucs at the Dirty Birds. TB is 0-2, and ATL is 1-1. ATL is favored by 5.5 tonight.

Enjoy the game if you're going to watch tonight's match. Good luck to all your teams this week.

Devin Hester just set the all-time Return TD record with his 20th return TD. And seeing that the Bucs essentially ragequit the game already (down 35-0 with 7:00 left in the first half), it won't be a shock if he gets his 21st tonight as well.

Good thing Tampa has good beer.
They'll be needing a lot of it to drink away the sorrows of what'll be a horrible year of Buccaneers football. And also, you can at least be happy that your Dolphins are not the worst team in Florida.

Oh, we haven't had that honor in a while. Thanks Jags, thanks Bucs.

Although, out of all 3 teams, the Dolphins have gone the longest without winning a playoff game.

Just wrapped up...

Very few things went right for the Texans today, as we failed for the first time this season. The New York Giants won 30-17 at Metlife Stadium. I was concerned about the Giants game to begin with. Even without Arian Foster in the lineup (hamstring), the Texans basically just had one of those forgettable performances. Everything went the Giants' way. They were clearly the better team. A lot of people looked at the Giants more like the Texans should have easily beaten them. Four picks thrown by Ryan Fitzpatrick was a contributor in the Texans' loss today.

Remember- it isn't the end of the world or the end of the season just because your team fails. Just hope your team doesn't fail with regularity. The Texans started last year with a 2-1 record. We all know what happened since- lost all 13 remaining games last season. Maybe fortunes will improve next Sunday at home against Buffalo.

Well... how did your team(s) do today/tonight? While this loss for the Texans is bad, it is nowhere near the magnitude of when a player dies. And so I offer my thoughts and prayers to all whom have known Rob Bironas after getting into that fatal car crash.

Great first half by the Hawks. Took some balls by the refs to overturn that fumble in the first half, though. I could totally understand if it was ruled incomplete and upheld, but the fact that they overturned it to be incomplete bugs me.

The Lions beat the Green Bay Packers today with a convincing 19-7 win. The Lions pretty much owned the Packers in every aspect of the game.

;)

Yes! :D Luck and the Colts got the win today against the Jaguars. (Can we regulate them?)

Now...

Wow... Peyton.. Jeez... going to OT in Seattle. No matter what... Denver has just sent a message to Seattle and the league.. don't EVER count us out.

I can't be the only person on Chris Collinsworth quote watch tonight. I just can't be. Well, this game so far is more of a defensive struggle than an offensive shootout which I thought it would be.

"Relegate", not "regulate".

This weeks games have pretty much been either shootouts or blowouts. But man, I really wasn't expecting the Panthers game to turn out like it did.

Here's my summary of the Dolphins game:

Mid if I borrow this as a visual aid to describe the Panthers tonight? :/ At least Kelvin Benjamin was a bright spot though. The guy continues to impress.

Bears at Jets TONIGHT!

Metlife Stadium is home to two NFL teams. The New York Giants beat my Texans yesterday afternoon. Tonight is the time for the other team- Blitz24 and kjb's New York Jets to host sumbrownkid's Chicago Bears. NFC North meets AFC East. Both teams are 1-1 so far. Pending a draw, one will improve to 2-1, and the other will be in a 1-2 hole. Who will win this one?

The line favors NYJ by 2.5 tonight. Unless we get a TB at ATL beat down like this past Thursday (ATL was favored by 5.5 in that 56-14 rout), CHI at NYJ should be pretty good. Enjoy the game!

I'll be pulling for the Bears tonight. Although, if they lose, I won't be too mad either because the Lions will have a 2 game division lead if the Jets win since GB and Minnesota are both 1-2.

This made me .

On a more serious note it is tragic to hear about Rob Bironas' death. :(
