They only fell 37 yards short. Oh well. So close. Roethlisberger gets the bomb but Pittsburgh fails the kick. Game over.3rd and 46.
"Wait, you aren't supposed to do that?" - The Bills.Bills for worst playcalling of the year.
"1st and 10 with 4 minutes and 30 yards to go? Let's throw for the endzone every time."
Tannehill dancing around in the pocket then scrambling and dancing some more with 30 seconds left in the game was beyond dumb. If he had an ounce of rational thought, he would have just threw it out of bounds as soon as he realized that the play wasn't working. That alone costed a ton of time that could have been used to try to blitz down the field. He's lucky that he didn't get sacked when he got out of the pocket. That was a **** game. The Dolphins are ****ing retards in the clutch. Any other offense with this defense would be superbowl favorites.
Hopefully the rumor of Oakland moving to San Antonio is true. The NFL needs some change to it, we've been stuck with the same teams and cities for 12 years now. Not only that, but I feel that relocation would be best for the Raiders.
I was pretty certain that the Bears would lose this game, but I didn't think that they would play this badly....
I never in my lifetime expected the Bears to play as bad (if not worse) than the 2008 Detroit Lions. Tonight, they are arguably playing worse than they did last week against the Patriots since they should have been prepared for this. Honestly, with how bad they are, they might lose to the Vikings. The Bears of all teams should not be fighting to not be the worst team in the NFC North.Just goes to show how terrible the coaching staff is. They had two weeks to prepare for a game that the season hanged on.
I'd fire Trestman, Tucker and look into the draft for Defense and a QB after this nightmare of a season is over. I think Emery's hiring of Trestmen is turning out to be a blunder. Emery's contract to Cutler is another one. Another year wasted for Forte's and Marshall's primes.
Here's to the Lions smacking the Packers for the NFC North.
Doubtful. It's for some reason easy to get to 55 but past there it takes some work as the other team will try and milk the clock just so they don't have that dubious distinction. It's only the beginning of the third quarter and Green Bay is up 45-0. Anyone thinking an NFL record for most points by one team in a game?
The Bears actually scored.
Chicago can't catch a break. They got blown out by the Patriots, and after a bye week, they get blown out by the Packers. Even a fresh start probably won't help them next season since there are a ton of issues with the Bears.
That's because they pulled the old Detroit Lions approach and stopped giving a 🤬. When the Lions were fairly good in the 90s, the Ford family quit caring and got overconfident. That wound up leading to the epic collapse in the 2000s and most infamously the 0-16 2008 season. Only recently have the Lions somewhat recovered. I'm proud of the current results, but I won't comment until I truly see long term success with this team. Another thing about the Lions method that lead to being the joke of the NFL- in those days, the majority of the team played on a team other than the Lions. A vast majority of the Bears' roster played somewhere other than Chicago. That might work in the short term, but in the long term, it'll lead to a horrible franchise. Like you just said- they'll be bad for a while because they have to rebuild from within. And for a franchise as storied as the Chicago Bears, things should have never even gotten this bad. The Packers (as much as I hate Green Bay) haven't really strayed from the mantra of building internally. That is why they are as good as they are.And the MaCaskey's won't pay for a loser coach to leave nor pay up for a better one.
Bears are gonna be a joke for a few years, if not more.
THAT would be awesome! The team would probably instill an old school, smashmouth, in your face Defense. I wonder what it would be like if the Lions were owned by Barry Sanders now because you just said that.I wished Mike Ditka owned the Bears.
Seriously I'd rather have that old Polish Sausage own the Bears than the CheapCaskeys.
The problem for the Bears is that they mentally break down. Jay Cutler plays QB like a golfer. Sorry, Jay, minding your own business will not cut it in the NFL. Brandon Marshall is also a time-bomb. With leaders like that, the team will be high when they're high, and a disaster when they're low.
