and i cant do a good time the best was
ZONDA 7.3 7,26.980
muy muy dificil de manejar en especial la segunda velosidad me cuesta trabajo aplicar bien la potensia :D y el contra volanteo es muy fino
pero es muy rapido en curvas y te permite sacar 2 llantas al pasto sin muchos problemas.
i think i could put a good record in one week

Hum... my first post in this section... :embarrassed:

Saw this thread yesterday after a long time away from the forums and thought I'd contribute, seeing as all I ever do in GT4 is driving on the Nürburgring anyway... :dopey:

'03 Peugeot 106 S16 - 9'42.312
'03 Peugeot 106 Rally - 9'48.970
'00 Honda Accod Euro-R - 9'14.007
'99 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Version VI - 8'42.580

I'st been a while since I've been here

Nice to see that awesome laptimes here

to zondahelmet

I got a 7'23.279 in my Pagani ZondaS 7.3 :) I'll post the split times later when I get back home, been stuck in the Lab for a while

I;ll try the Nardo next and set a lower 7'22.XXX lap, seems possible since I can outrun my Zonda with the VW Nardo at some corners and distance myself and Its much stable at high speed.

Anyone who has the PATIENCE to lap a Daihatsu Midget around the ring??? For fun only

Anyone who has the PATIENCE to lap a Daihatsu Midget around the ring??? For fun only

I did this once. If I remember correctly my laptime was around 23 minutes.
:dopey:

I have a time for the Daihatsu Midget I just need to wright down the time.
Any more small cars you want times for?

Wanted to come in and mention that I don't think "Tuner" cars or "Concept" cars should be allowed in this challenge.

This is a challenge for "Production" cars and completely "Stock" cars.

Cars with adjustable suspensions and modified parts should not be allowed (IMO).
This would rule out many cars including (but not limited to):
VW Nardo
Tommy K. ZZII
NSX LM Concept Road Car

Let me know your thoughts but be mindful of what the rules are to this thread.
(also keep in mind that the ever popular Zonda 7.3 would still be legal) :P

Here are the times for the Daihatsu Midget '63.

T1-1:24:018
T2-2:52:278
T3-3:55:775
T4-5:31:212
T5-6:52:976
T6-9:00:106
T7-11:40:975
T8-12:57:440
T9-13:46:033
T10-15:18:115
T11-16:35:498

Total time-17:33:729

I was thinking little cars(under 50HP):indiff:, but I can drive that car:).
And I also have replays if someone want to see them.

:ouch: Driving a midget must have been really er.........lonely. I never had the patience to do it in the first place I'd probably get bored, irritated and not complete the lap.

Thanks for posting the times AngelCreator , It gives me an Idea of how those cars perform.:)

The midget is too much for my "attention span", but some of my friends kept bugging me to lap cars like the midget worse The Ford model T and Daimler Motor Carriage. :banghead: for kicks and the occasional Laughs

I also would like to find out if old cars, like the Auto Union C-2 Streamline (forgot the exact name) AC Cobra etc. , can match up to the modern ones.
Maybe when my exams are over.

I can test some cars if you can get me a list of what cars you want times for.
And I don't mind driving slow or old cars.

Cars with adjustable suspensions and modified parts should not be allowed (IMO).

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!:yuck:

You can't say that! That would rule out at least 3 of my favourite cars :(

Ruf BTR
Ruf CTR "Yellowbird"
Ruf RGT

I'm with you on the rest of it though.

TurboJ
The idea here is to compete with Nurburgring hotlaps
driven with completely stock production cars.

Rules are simple:

-You can drive any PRODUCTION car, 100% unmodified (not even oil change unless it's a used car, so car performance is always consistent)
-You must use N2 tires for real-word performance
-Drive in GT mode/Circuit practice

Hard to say if we should allow cars like the yellowbird or not.

It seems like a production car to me but if it has an adjustable suspension it may not be fair game for the 100% unmodified part of the rules. :odd:

Continue to ring-in and let me know what you all think.
This sort of issue can make the difference between the fastest lap and an illegal lap. :P

Btw, the Nardo is completely un-adjustable but classified as a concept. :ouch:
Where does that leave the Nardo?

i think if the car comes with a sports suspension already, you should have to leave the sports suspension "stock," eg. you have to leave the settings on default

I think Turbo J answered this in the first post:

The Nardo isn't a production car, the Rufs are, at least in GT4 terms. "100% unmodified" says stock settings to me, but as the mods possible are fairly minimal and difficult to police, I would just consider this as a gentleman's agreement. Hmmm. Do they have gentlemen on the internet? :)

Oh, and here's my latest laptime:

Ruf RGT - 7'59.067"

I have the times for the Volkswagen Polo GTI '01.

Hmmm. Do they have gentlemen on the internet? :)

No.

And that's why I haven't been putting times into this thread like I used to. :(
One bad apple spoils the bunch and this bunch certainly has a bad apple (no names for the sake of being polite).

In any case...

Gentlemen's agreement.
Good one. 👍 👍

Just a quick note on the Ruf's eligability in this thread/challenge from my point of view, If the Ruf's come with adjustable suspension from stock, it makes sense to make use of that feature even in this challenge, GT4's default settings are far far from ideal and a quick tweak can produce a much more enjoyable car, the CTR Yellowbird especially.....Everyone is still on a level playing field in relation to each other and there is plenty of advice available for how to tune the sports suspension should some people not know how....

I wish I had more time to put into this thread as its an enjoyable concept, currently working on the Zonda laptime when sparetime allows.....

regards

David

Starting to see a difference here.

Ran the Z06 again after all this time with N2 tire racing from this thread.
7'50.955 Clean
Just keeps getting faster too.
I'm sure 48's are possible, which would be awesome for the sake of hitting the real world C6 Z06 (allegedly).

In any case, I think this car is also an excellent example of how impossible it can be to truely simulate real world driving.
N1 couldn't add 28 seconds to my time (maybe S1 could drop 28). ;)

Well I'm headed out again.
Catch you all when I've made some progress with whatever car feels the best. :mischievous:
(TVR Speed 6 felt fun last night)

I sorta wish I could but in a way I can't.

First off, that graphic is hosted by daan the man. :sly:
He's excellent with that sort of thing and I don't want to just scrap the link/graphic.

However, I would like to add a new updated board (plus I enjoy coding the vb to do a great looking leadboard).

Coming up with time to hunt down all of the laps included here will be hard. :ouch:
Will take a while to do so but Once I get everything lined up... 👍
I'll be back with an update soon I hope. :D

heey AngelCreator why don't you try out the Daimler Motor Carriage?? It would be fun to see what time it gets, if you manage to finish...:) Last time I tried it I found it to be faster going backwards jeje, I'l try getting some time to try it again,
luck!!

I tred that:(, but I can't get up the hill before the first jump:banghead::banghead::ouch:, but I will try again:nervous:.
Any more cars you want me to try(under 50HP please:)).

isn't there a massive thread somewhere with two crazy guys who keep beating each other's times in the Daimlers? they're somewhere around 3-4 hours now I think...

Pagani Zonda 7.3 7'22.004
all aids OFF
Tance-like state ON :nervous: (can't remember much of the lap, its one of those "in-the-zone" moments where your senses feel as sharp as needles and the car behaves exactly as your mind wants it to, almost telepathically. )

I knew training myself with the TVR Speed 12 with comfort tires in the 'ring would come in handy:) . With delicate throttle work you could achieve the best possible exit out of a corner. On 2nd gear, around 90% throttle is the limit before the rear tires start to squeal. On the technical sections drifting slightly will help align the car for a dragster like exit. Late apex turning on most of the hairpins will give you a slightly faster top speed on full throttle sections.

I can test some cars if you can get me a list of what cars you want times for.
And I don't mind driving slow or old cars. -AngelCreator

How about these 3 sub 1 litre K class cars: Mazda AZ-1 vs Honda Beat vs Honda Today (the police car in the "You're Under Arrest" anime tv series) vs Suzuki Cappucino and Mini Cooper (the old one)

I'll be trying to lap the Auto Union Streamline car, it's hard to believe that this car has so much performance for a 1937 model! But it seems that it doesn't like my driving style and when I try to drift the car, it just totally loses control.

And I have a time for the Mercedes Daimler Motor Carriage 1886, but it was
not done in the rules of this time trial but I thought I would post the time anyways.
I did it in arcade mode with +20% power and -10% weight on N1 tires.

That is right, almost four and ahalf hours:scared::crazy:.
And I did that today so I thought I would post it.
