p.s. Awesome M5 time you have on N2's!

I prefer driving on N Tyres, not because they're more "realistic" but because the lateral grip of the cars is like driving on gravel, which suits my rallying background. I do think the braking performance of the cars is more realistic on N tyres than S or R's though. With S tyres most cars stop on a dime, and R tyres are just ridiculous.

And you have no idea how long I've spent driving that M5 around the 'ring on N tyres. It's my default car when I can't think what else to race, because it's an intoxicating and infuriating combination.

@ Mr.Apex, I'm curious to hear your opinions on the replays you've downloaded. There's still plenty of time left in all of them I reckon.

Yeh, Thanks alot! :)

Have to go to school now, but I will check it out when I get home,
Thanks.

I agree, I prefer to drive on N2's mainly for the challenge, because I wouldnt know real world performance capabilities of sports cars because I am only on my Learners and havent had that chance to test drive cars of that calibre, at the moment im 'restricted' to my mums elantra and dads '87 skyline wagon hahaha.

My time will come :)

Thanks again for the info about the MAXdrive.

I'm not one to question times, but is 8'04.881 with the Honda Integra Type R '03 possible? I have a hard time breaking the 8'10 mark with a stock FF car

7'42.854 - GT Pro - Mazda RX-7 Type-R Bathurst R (FD) - S2
7'38.704 - GT Pro - Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Coupe '00 - S2

Both can be reasonably improved, particularly the RX-7 time, but at the rate Diego is submitting times, I guess I should try and get as many in as possible.

What he said

Oh, and by the way, I've just finished running every car in the game around the 'ring... I'm currently typing them up, so after this post, I won't be submitting much more times :P

By the way, here are GTPro's fixed times

7'42.854 - GT Pro - Mazda RX-7 Type-R Bathurst R (FD) - S2
7'38.704 - GT Pro - Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Coupe '00 - S2

No luck right now... will take me some more time to check them out.
New job... :grumpy:

Plus I spent some time on something else last week:

Hum... that means your work isn't really finished... :sly:

Just kidding! :D
You're crazy Diego! Did you ever calculate how many kilometers you made on the 'ring during this?

700 times 24 km equals around 17'000 km's, right?

well, I'm thinking I did around 3000 laps... since I did around 3 laps with each car (724 cars or so) plus about one lap with the first 150 cars when I was going at it before actually learning the track and not taking this challenge seriously.

As for what's next, I may do the same on another track and re-do some of the challenging times here, and actually go by the rules (doing the -10% weight thing) on some cars.

400th post on this thread

7'49.263 - GT Pro - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR Tommi Makinen Edition '00 - S2

7'55.007 - GT Pro - Subaru Impreza Premium Sport Coupe 22B-STi Version (GC) '98 - S2

Great idea, now I have something to do!:)
Here are my times:

9'05.920-BigdaddyGT-Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 '70-S2
8'35.219-BigdaddyGT-BMW M3 '04-S2
7'52.526-BigdaddyGT-Subaru Impreza Rally Car '04-R3

The good thing about the 'ring is that there's always room for improvement ;)

sadly, my nternet connection doesn't seem to think the same, and thus, I've double posted :irked:

You know that part at the beginning of the replays, where it says "
Toyota GT-One (TS020) '99
Nürburgring Nordschlief
RM / RM
Free Run
?

Well, we need to see that at the start. So we know you are using R3 tyres. The best way to achieve that is to save ghost replay, which saves the best lap, and start recording the moment you select the replay in the replay theatre. Otherwise, you may as well be using R5 (qualifier) tyres, which as you may well know, have loads of grip.

Also, you're using driving aids 👎

But keep it up, the caris still insanely fast.

Hey guys, i'm quite new to these forums and i'm looking for competitions like these, and I have to say, this looks the most competitive of all the lap time challenges!
I'll be posting up some of my times soon, got a nice long holiday so you should expect some times from me! Not sure that they will be be as good as others, but........:)

I could do, but unfortunately i haven't got a MaxDrive, and unless i'm mistaken, you need one to take part:grumpy:

My first time which I just did a few minutes ago:
7'39.964 - Aremburgkerve - Opera Performance 350Z '04 - S2

I think I can easily trim 10 or so seconds off that time but this was my first clean lap time and I wanted to get on the leaderboard as soon as possible!:sly: Hopefully, should do some more tuner cars later on and will post times up!

Right.

There's also the Suzuka Challenge, if you're interested. Check the link in my signature.
