If you can't beat mission 10 properly you can cut through the grass/sand at the chicanes and beat it easily...

I joined just for this mission and thanks to famine's pr0 video and instructions I passed it in my second go. Famine, you truly rule 👍

Now, shall I continue using my Nissan Fairlady Z Concept Race Car or start using the Pagani Zonda race car?

4 missions left, but any tips for the R92CP 3-lap chase on la Sarthe (M14 I think??)? I'm not even close on that... :yuck:

P.S: Anyone want replays? I started saving some of my mission runs (11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 27, 29, 33) and I can see if I can tape them over and host it. 💡

it would quite cool if you start a thread on that and ask other people to post theres that would help a lot of people

3. Drive the straights on inside/reverse view and get out of the AI's way (to the outside) when they're about to pass.
Haven't even tried the missions at all, but I just watched the video. I have to ask, why not let the AI bump draft you and pick up even more time? Do they destabilize you?

Any special tips on the Suzuka One Lap Magic with the Takata NSX? That car bites if you don't treat it right, and my best so far is 0,900 seconds behind at the finish line. I spent 3 hours on it already. It's the only one lap magic I need to complete.

Has everyone watched it? It's been accessed 534 times!

I think you need them to pass, 'cos you get a bigger draft if they are in front of you.

I loved that car, it felt like a go kart in a way, the mission was reasonably hard but not impossible. Just keep going back and practicing, experiment with different lines through the esses at the start of the track, you can make up an awful lot of time if you get the line right through that section, remember that exit speed is the key. One of the license tests may help with that, can't remember whether it was at the start of iA or end of iB but I golded it tonight, if you're having trouble maybe check out that, it gives you a great insight into the best lines through those curves. The other place where you can make up a lot of time is spoon, please make sure you have the best line through that corner, because of the huge straight after it, a difference in even 2 or 3mph in exit speed can mean a lot of time. I think it gives you an example in the manual of what a difference in exit speed of just 2mph on a medium length straight can cost you time wise.

If you're still really having trouble you can cut onto the grass at degner and the final chicane, but if you're only 0.9 seconds off you'll make it easily with a few more tries.

There are so many posts on Mission 23 here (Skyline Slipstream), but I don't think many people really understand how it works.

It's not about slowing down and letting the AI draft you. If you're in the right part of the track, the AI will draft you even if you go full-throttle the whole race without letting up.

Use the inside (bumper cam) view and drive with the oil light on the outside yellow line. That's all you have to do. I won by a couple seconds, and I only leapfrogged twice. Later on the cars are slipstreaming each other pretty well and you can just let them bump you a little and it will speed you up some; you don't even have to get out of their way when they're coming up on you.

I was getting pretty frustrated with 23, but if you basically ignore the AI everything will be fine if you stay in the right position.

That's interesting that everybody talks about cheating on Mission 10 by cutting the chicanes. I didn't do that, but I did go full-throttle into the Porche corner without touching the brakes and T-boned the leader right as he was about to apex the corner. Even after the 5 sec penalty, the leader was totally destroyed. He just stayed in the sand for about another 10 sec. :)

Mission 10? I can't actually remember what that was. I just remember I won it first time.

I tried mission 23 once and lost by about 2 seconds. I will try it again some time, I just found it a little tiring driving in straight lines for so long.

Edit: Is mission 10 the one at Le Mans? I think I passed the lead car on the Mulsanne straight after the second chicane.

I don't understand why everyone thought that mission was so hard in the first place.

Although I finally completed all the missions, I swear some of them were harder in the Japanese version though. The 3 Lap LeMans one in the R92CP was so easy I managed to overtake the Sauber at the beginning of the 3rd lap, wheras the Japanese one I could just pip him on the second last chicane. And i'm sure the Nurburgring one is easier, although they both had the same amount of waiting time 120 something seconds. Mind you I didn't give it more than 3 or 4 attempts in the Japanese version before getting frustrated and quitting.

Thanks mate, that is the kind of info I was looking for. I'm pushing hard through the esses, I think I got them right, but Spoon is most probably where I can shave off that second. I'll go try it right now.

Hehe, I only just started the driving missions, and I'm at 70% =P

So anyway, I've done about 20+ now. I'm having a few problems with some.

The one's in my To-do list are...

Subaru's - Tsukuba
Corvette's - Infineon
Merc's - Ring
Slipstream - Skylines
Slipstream - Oddysee's (I can do this one, I failed the first time but I can do it the 2nd)
Honda's - Suzuka (havn't tried yet)

I'm hammering away at the Scooby one now, I'm narrowing the tiny gap on the 360 on every attempt.

The corvette one is one of the easier races in that mission set it only took 2 or 3 attempts to get it right. The one that got me was the honda one, i must have tried that about 20 times before finally getting it perfect. Just keep trying on the vette if that's all you've got leftit shouldn't take you long.

Haha, that was one of the harder ones for me, due to the fact that it is nearly impossible to pass cars when you are going so much faster and you need the perfect racing line to keep any speed, since the Vette doesn't turn as sharp as I think it should have.

First corner with the Corvette one.

Accelerate before you've finished turning in. Before you've hit the crest of the hill. WELL before you even SEE the apex.

If you can pull that corner off you'll slice lumps off your time.

Famine, you got it right 👍

I was struggling with it a few days ago, and I found that if I did the first corner perfectly, I was in much better position to pass the other cars and I could follow the optimal racing line :)

I felt the exact same way when I first started the game. As I progressed through and learned the track through each race on it, that mission suddenly became fairly easy.

Infineon: I can pretty much dial the first few corners, the hinge is the corner on the middle over the hill, with a downward spiral and then a long straight before the hairpin. If i nail the Z06 at that hairpin, its slightly too slow, if i do on the striahg tits possible, i just never seem to get the last bit perfect.

Just finished off the Mission Hall. The only missions that took more than 10 mins to do were 11, 23 and 34.

23 probably took the longest, it took about 45 mins of trying to do. In the end it was fairly simple. You just have to get a slipstream as soon as you can, then catch the pack of 4 cars. Shift up into 6th gear as soon as you can, and stay there. Then just drive the same line as the computer cars for the remaining 2 1/2 laps, and let the silver car (or whichever happens to be in third place, I found it was the silver car) slipstream you and then slipstream him back and keep doing it. Don't lift off, just keep going normally and he will catch you. I was dissapointed that nobody slipstreamed me at the 2nd corner of the 2nd lap, but they made up for it, as the entire pack came flying past me on the run down to the 1st corner of the 3rd lap. As a result, I got an absolutely massive tow, and was going at 177 mph when I passed the lead car on the following straight. Won by 2.215 seconds, a fair margin.

Infineon in the Corvette, I passed on my second attempt. Just stay away from the kerbs, nail the high speed corners, and there you have it. Also, do not accelerate too soon at the last corner, it is longer than it looks! I stupidly hit the wall at the last corner exit, but luckily still managed to win by a second.

I'm just surprised that the strict language filter on this site does nothing about the word 'tits'...

SHIIIT! I hate these..these THINGS! 1-10 are easy. Also manage to do 21 and 24. But 22...whatta hell!? Everytime I overtake the 2nd car and head for the 1st one, he pulls away, just getting smaller and smaller. He is alone, so he can't slipstream to get higher speed. What THE **** IS WRONG?

That's because #34 TAKES 10 minutes :P

What is the key to 11. Practice? I am NOT used to that car at all. I love and have Seca memorized, but that car is viscious!

Do you mean Mission 12, Ford GT LM at Laguna Seca? 11 is at New York.
