Hey no need to apologise for that just join when you can! I'm from london, england. You?

Hey JJ that's right i was totally running scared! :nervous:

Nobody will believe you won never mind nearly twice :dopey:

So keep your stories to yourself! haha

Newcastle, Australia - so synchronising races could be a tad difficult given that I'm about 12 hours ahead (give or take)

Do you get on during the day or night your time? Or is it any time really? Caus i play at all sorts of times depending on work and other stuff so there's still a chance we will meet. I sleep very late as well.

Hey just saying sorry to JJaisali and Energiya about last night, you were both messaging me but i was away from my computer playing PC games while the Resi Evil 5 demo downloaded, and had no idea until i went to turn the PS off so sorry for that fellas! I would have joined had i noticed the messages. Maybe you can message here what time you will be on today/tonight? I plan on hitting the sack about 2am gmt.

No problems mate, hope to race soon.

No problem Danjama. We figured when you saw two powerhouses like Energiya and jjaisli together in the same lobby you were pretending not to notice. I was totally bummed that none of the regulars were on. And for ONCE I convincingly won a race with Energiya and there was nobody to see it.

Edit: I ALMOST won 2 but the wall of champions did me in on the last lap.

I won't be on tonight mate--working late.

You were lucky, i was making mistakes

Either early in the morning (6:30am - 10am gmt+10) or later at night (8:30-midnight). Don't bother tonight (this morning) though - hosting a dinner party for the missus' birthday, likely to be neck deep in Chinese BBQ Pork and Makers Mark bourbon... :D

Yeah well, the thing is Energiya, I never really saw any of those mistakes because they all took place behind me. :mischievous: ;)

@ Danjama. Let a poor boy bask in his 5 minutes of glory please. (Especially considering it's a feat I'm unlikely to reproduce any time soon.)

Ha ha

Well, I finally had some time to win some Challenge races, and unlock the 512M I've been wanting so badly. This car is easier to drive than the F430!. If anybody would like some online racing with this car, I'm definately game. I'm looking forward to unlocking the rest of the vintage racers, as they're definitely my favorite Ferraris.

Well, I would've rather had the 917K, but I guess this'll have to do:

Nice!! 👍

we can arrange some "wannabe" Le Mans (the movie) races, you with that car, me with a red/white one, with "Erich Stahler" ( I think tht's the ferrari "ace" driver's name) written all over it.

Spa wet, maybe ... ;)

PS - The 512M doesn't appear in that movie, it's the 512S (long tail, not the one we get in this game), but who really cares :D

Hehe, you're absolutely right, though the 512M does look closer to the 917K. . . I wonder why?:sly:

I find the 512 M has astonishingly "bouncy" suspension - I've no idea if this is the way the car actually feels IRL, but it certainly makes it tricky to drive fast in FC - couldn't be further from a modern F1 car.

Do you have the 333 SP yet Lofasz?

Funny enough, I just had a few races last night with Danjama and we started with the 512S. I do enjoy driving both the 512S/512M but it's challenging for me as I have to change all my lines at most tracks. The suspension in either car is not conducive to riding the curbs.

We went through 10 minutes of Paul Ricard and I was ready to stick a needle in my eye. I don't like this track under the best of circumstances but for some reason I was just making a mess of things with that car: up and down, up and down like a pogo stick. I couldn't stay off the curbs. But one thing I will say, I remember once running the 512S at Mugello offline and watching the replay, the way the car looks when coming down the road as the suspension compressed and uncompressed was just superb. It's hard to explain but if you've ever seen a 512 in RLF as it comes along at high speed, and hits some uneven pavement, it sort of does this double bottoming out and I think they managed to duplicate this effect brilliantly. It looked like the real car. So in a sense, I think Eutechnyx REALLY got this right.

But both versions of the 512 have good power and fantastic brakes. They're otherwise a joy to drive.

And the (inboard) sound ... is amazing! Taking these cars for a relaxed offline ride with all assists off and using the "H" shifter is indeed a joy.

Yea i agree, i really enjoy them both, the brakes are out of this world!

Paul Ricard was a nightmare i wont be selecting it again any time soon! haha

Also you guys can call me Dan now rather than danjama ;)

I was just gonna keep calling you Dan's Pyjamas.

Nope, not yet. Though I plan on trying to finish up all the Challenge races this weekend, so I'm likely to unlock many more soon. 333 SP One of your favorites Biggles?

I'm also looking forward to the 250 GTO and 250 Testarossa. 👍

My favorite tracks in the game right now: Monza, Spa, Mugello (power slide heaven, IMO).

I prefer the "slower" cars, like the 355 & 348 Challenges, & the 250 Testa Rossa, but I thought you might find the 333 SP interesting. You'll find it will take a while before you start posting fast times with each car because the cars are so different from each other. I haven't even begun to get a feel for the 333 SP yet...

I really love all three 250 models. TR/LM/GTO The LM is probably the most difficult car to drive in FC. It's very tail happy and unless you're driving in a perfectly straight line it's constantly transitioning between understeer and oversteer. But it's VERY rewarding when it 'comes' to you. I'm pleased to say I actually hold 2 lap records with it. (But I suppose that's only because most players avoid it like last week's leftover Chinese)

This is just a message to AMZoil who i recentlly raced against. I don't cut corners and I certainly don't suk as you politely put it in your message. The thing is with racing is that you win some and you lose some and if you can't accept that then you shouldn't do it. Sorry about the rant but most of the people i've raced against, particularly on this website, are polite and fair and treat it as a laugh.

Sarrinen, I don't think AMZoil frequents these forums. I may be mistaken, but where I think I usually see his name online is in the eutechnyx forums.

I'm actually surprised at the number of people on the PSN who speak English - had a Bosnian guy send me a message last night in relatively fluent English.

I have only got 2 non english friends on my friends list. btw do you play ferrari challenge, if so send me friend request & one day we could race.
