FC is way better than GT5p! The physics engine, emersion, and size or the game play are unmatched by Gt5P. Everythind seems so much larger and real in FC. You will begin to see me regularly on line. Im really fast with the controller and pretty fast with the wheel. I am in N.A., I build race motors and modify anything from import to domestic in real life outside of the legal field. I’m and addict to FC. I had the pleasure of having my ass handed to me by ENERGIYA last night. In seven laps he was 30 seconds ahead of me in two different races. I had never raced the 360GT before on those tracks. I was without the PS3 controller and no ABS. I kept locking up the brakes with the G25 and going off track on turns and quick transitions. He must not be using a wheel. I honestly believe it is much easier to go very very fast with the auto steering of the PS3 controller but the wheel is too much fun. I think the PS3 controller is like cheating.

If you've just started racing with the 360 GT you shouldn't expect to be able compete with an experienced FC racer like ENERGIYA. It will take several hours practice before you have a chance of being competitive.

I think with time you'll realize that (just like in GT5P) there are very fast racers out there who use a wheel & very fast racers who use a pad.

WOW, sameone is calling me an experienced FC racer. I thought i would be a junior FC racer especially against you biggles & a lot of others. you probably been racing in FC a lot longer than me.

Tell me about it! everytime I race online I get absolutely smashed. Mainly because I make too many unforced areas.

I really need to finish this game, because i've only got the F430 Challenge.:lol: Then i'll think about racing you FC pro's.👍

I'm shaking my head Neidher, looking at the time trial results it's obvious that theres no advantage in lap times on either the wheel or the pad.
I raced with Energiya in those awful 360GT cars and yeah he beat me convincingly though on some tracks it was close, on others I just fell back and raced other guys in the room LOL My problem was unfamiliarity with the car I just couldn't get to grips with it at all even after a coupl of hours it would keep catching me out, my main problem was the brakes being all or nothing followed by the throtle also being all or nothing LOL It was totaly down to my inability to grt to grips with it rather than the game or car physics.
I have gone a bit old school though and prefare to race the slower cars but I allways have done that on other games as well, Forza class B and below, GT5p no higher than 650pp races ect ect
I did have some good races during the session though on hokenhien I raced one of the UKOG guys, we average 3 passing manouvers per lap over 10 min race with one lap having 5 overtakes, all clean, all seat of your pants stuff, for the first 2 laps of that race however energiya was a second in front of me and the UKOG guy was a second behind me.......once we started battleing energiya was away up the road doing time trials LOL

How can i compare them, the F430 is a good car, Maybe not as loose at the rear end as the 360 GT but i love the 360 GT

Just use what your most familiar with, same off us do a better job with wheel others pad. So what difference is there, NONE.

So just race & injoy racing & stop worring about it.
 
Well I just had 3 hours racing energiya, I use the DF-GT and he uses a pad, on tracks I'm good at and not in the 360GT we were prety much passing each other at every second corner (in the 430 which is neither of our favorite cars) stick me in the 360gt and I was miles behind on the tracks I don't like. There is really nothing in the pad and the wheel I'm sure if I can get Energiya in a 250 I'l have the advantage.......Now to get up that ladder I have a plan LOL

I meant several hours with each car! It should take several hours on each track with the F430 to learn the basic lay out & braking points, but then, in order to be reasonably competitive (ie. not more than 2 or 3 sec/lap slower), it will take another few hours on each track with each car.

If you've only driven the F430 you're missing out IMO. It's not a bad car to race with, but I find it a little too stable & balanced to show off FC's physics & FFB as well as some of the other cars. The 360GT has similar performance but is lighter, "looser", more responsive & manoeuvrable & more fun to drive "on the edge". There are other cars in FC I enjoy driving more than the 360GT, but, along with the 355 Challenge (which is a little looser & twitchier than the 360GT), I think it produces the most consistently exciting races online. 👍

On the subject of pad vs wheel: I've got to believe that using a pad in FC is going to be less immersive & less fun than using a wheel, but I'm not convinced that it's any easier. One thing I would like to say, using the G25 with the H-shifter adds another level of difficulty (+ clutch in GT5P), because the H-shifter can be tricky & it's easy to miss a shift in the heat of the moment. I would say I average about one missed shift every 2 or 3 laps, which usually costs me at least one or two seconds. In a close race, that can be the difference between winning & losing.

Yesterday their was an amazing race at MISANO in the 360GT with mhm66, there was never more than a 2 second difference for the entire 10 min race, i think there was about 10+ lead changes between us & i think we only touched 1 time.

If there was a replay option like GT5p & the ability to save them, you guys would be amazed with this battle.
 
Well yes. I've had lots of amazing FC races online (including many with RS or ENERGIYA). That's why I'm frustrated so many GTPers won't give FC a chance - they're really missing out on some great racing.

A couple of days ago I ran a series of 355 Challenge races with a pretty high-powered crew, including krufti, kurvi35, mhm66 & SEGEL. As usual SEGEL was lapping 1 to 2 seconds faster than anyone else, on every track, but in a 10 minute nailbiter at Silverstone I managed to hold him off as lap after lap he ate into my 5 sec lead, coming within about half a second of catching me at the finish line. :cheers:
 
Yes, i would like to see more GTPer racing in FC, then there will be a lot of good races. Maybe samehow we could have a new thread like

I've had so much fun online racing with FC that I haven't even put GT5P in in months!
The good close races & almost total lack of punters make FC a very good time.
 
Hey just saying sorry to JJaisali and Energiya about last night, you were both messaging me but i was away from my computer playing PC games while the Resi Evil 5 demo downloaded, and had no idea until i went to turn the PS off so sorry for that fellas! I would have joined had i noticed the messages. Maybe you can message here what time you will be on today/tonight? I plan on hitting the sack about 2am gmt.
 
No problem Danjama. We figured when you saw two powerhouses like Energiya and jjaisli together in the same lobby you were pretending not to notice. :lol: I was totally bummed that none of the regulars were on. And for ONCE I convincingly won a race with Energiya and there was nobody to see it.

Edit: I ALMOST won 2 but the wall of champions did me in on the last lap.

I won't be on tonight mate--working late.
 
Apologising to Danjama too - have missed a few races due to being busy - thanks for the invites though mate, where are you from?
